Just read the Express version of this and it does not exactly sound that we are anywhere close to completing anything.

Rangers set for Boris Pandza arrival after Sasa Papac advice

BOSNIAN defender Boris Pandza has been sold on a move to Rangers by ex-Ibrox hero Sasa Papac.

Free agent Pandza, has been linked with a switch to Ibrox now that heâ??s out of contract with Belgian outfit Mechelen.

The Gers are desperate to beef up their backline for the new season and Bosnian media have reported that the 26-year-old international stopper has been recommended to Ally McCoist by Papac.

For now, Pandza is back in his native Mostar waiting for his next move, but is open to the idea of a switch to Scotland.

He met up with countryman Papac and the ex-Ibrox man had nothing but good things to say about the club he played for over the course of six seasons from 2006.

Pandza said: â??I know all about Rangers from talking with Sasa. We played together with Bosnia and heâ??s a friend as we both come from Mostar.

â??He always talks very positively about Rangers and I know from him that theyâ??re the biggest club in Scotland â?? one of the biggest in Britain.

â??Of course, moving to Scotland would be an attraction. Iâ??ve heard nothing but good things from Sasa and heâ??s someone whose opinion I trust.

â??I know Rangers have had problems, but in a normal season theyâ??re the top and compete at the top level in Europe.

â??For now, I can say with complete truth that Iâ??ve spoken to no-one at Rangers and thereâ??s nothing concrete for me to consider. If it does come, itâ??s something Iâ??d look at.

â??My next move is very important. I have options but nothing is settled.

â??I want to play for Bosnia at the World Cup Finals and, because of that, my next club has to be right. Weâ??ll need to wait and see what happens with Rangers.â?

Rangers have mostly added attacking options to their ranks so far, with Nicky Law, Jon Daly and Nicky Clark arriving, while keeper Cammy Bell and full-back Stevie Smith have also signed up. (DB: and Peralta and Foster ... btw )

But the decision to pay up the contracts of Dorin Goian and Carlos Bocanegra, coupled with the fact that centre-half was a problem position for McCoist last season, has opened the door for new arrivals at the heart of defence.

Pandza certainly fits the bill for the Light Blues as a free agent and the recommendation of such a solid competitor as Papac will carry weight with McCoist.

Pandza started his career with Siroki Brijeg before moving to Hajduk Split and then on to Mechelen. And, with 21 caps for his country, he would be a quality signing for McCoist.

Gordon Durie eyes Ibrox return

RANGERS are in talks to bring Gordon Durie back to the club.

SunSport understands the Nine-in-a-row legend could return as a youth or reserve coach.

A vacancy remains on the backroom staff after reserve boss Tommy Wilson quit for a coaching post in America at the end of last season.

Ex-Ibrox striker Durie, 47, has been out of work since resigning as East Fife boss in November 2012 due to ill health.

Well enough for Rangers but not East Fife?

After collapsing last year he was told to take a few months off so resigned.

I assume he's well enough again after he played in the Man U legends match.

Slightly off topic.... but Wanyama, 12 million ??? Seriously ? I didnt think he was all that good to be honest. Not that I have seen him lay much for them - they would be nuts not to accept that kind of cash.
