Andy Halliday completes season-long loan deal to Gabala

Rangers midfielder Andy Halliday has completed a season-long loan deal to Azerbaijani side Gabala.

Halliday, who has three years left on his contract at Ibrox, travelled to Salzburg for talks with Gabala, who are currently in a training camp ahead of their new season.

The 25-year-old, who played 32 times for Rangers last season, was left out of the Ibrox side's Europa League squad by manager Pedro Caixinha.

He will now move to one of Azerbaijan's European representatives in search of regular first-team football.

Gabala, who finished second in their league last season, enter the Europa League at the second qualifying round where they will face either Jagiellonia Bialystok or Dinamo Batumi.

Good first season with us.

Don't know what happened after that. As a fan watching he seemed to hide behind being a Rangers man instead of stepping up and showing it.

Good luck to him though.

Meanwhile, the tramp fool beggar JJ seems in his latest blog to be under the impression that Halliday has just completed a season playing for Gabala. :laugh2:

Todays blog includes the following ----

" He is enjoying being in the UK having recently completed an arduous loan spell in Azerbaijan. He does not believe in Padre Pedro’s revolution. He will bide his time as he is of the view that Caixinha will be gone before Crimbo. "

Maybe....he's referring to AH going over for a few days for medical & maybe a training session or 2 - a VERY short loan spell ;)

The funny thing is with him and the general view of his followers is that Rangers fans are gullible lapping up everything we are told. He continues to spout gross inaccuracies and the followers keep sending him money. ?

Btw I wonder what happened to General Ashley's tanks ?? which had apparently been amassing on the battlefield for a year ready to blow Rangers apart. It is high quality entertainment. I hope he doesn't pack it in!

Oh, there's more Walter -- " As we are fully aware Lite needed another soft loan this month to buy off Sports Direct and Puma which were planning a crushing pincer movement putsch. This soft loan of £1.5m when added to the other outstanding loans far exceeds the €5m stipulated under Financial Fair Play. As readers of this site are aware the SFA are using the unaudited accounts of the rogue board as an appendix to Lite’s application for a UEFA licence, which was duly rubber stamped in Syon. "

That from a guy who doesn't know that Halliday played for Rangers last season.

The crews were all on zero hours contracts, so mobilisation problems arose......
