I understand out travelling support being loyal and "follow following" but surely the time has truly come to hit them ALL where it hurts, in the pocket.

Well, guys, it is clear that the SPFL is calling the Club's position and it is time to get the ya-yas out. If Rangers has evidence sufficient to have caused its actions over the holiday weekend, then it will have to pursue an Interdict in court. It will have to do this quickly, ie tomorrow or Friday, this week. I don't even know if this is possible. If Park, and the Board,and the Club, were showboating, and acting on a whim, then I am speechless, as the outcome will be worse than that which would result from maintenance of the traditional dignified silence.

Appointing Hearts and Hamilton to lead up the reconstruction debate shows one thing and one thing only. It has been a total stitch up and they don't care who sees it.

The Board threw down a challenge. It is up to the Board to follow that through. If it was merely grandstanding or posturing, then it deserves all that it gets. There is one rather important thing to bear in mind, one that I hope The Board took into account before launching its weekend assault; to wit, Scottish football teams, and their supporters, hate Rangers, and they hate Pederasty FC, too. The difference, in practice, is that they realise that they may damage Rangers, but that the Molesters remain untouchable, and will remain so, for the forseeable future.

I suspect that Dundee will have found that they voted yes and got stiffed for their trouble. Likewise, so too will Hearts. because you are right, they won't vote to lose a home game against us and Celtic, all to be replaced with home game against, say, Dundee.

The big problem is ... the world will not care. Scottish football is insignificant even on a bright day without war, Corona et al. What happens in that dark place behind Hadrian`s Wall where males run about in skirts is of no concern to anyone. And in 3 months time, no-one will care anyway. UNLESS ... someone takes the SPFL to court over this and attracts worldwide interest (albeit diminished by the tragedy goin on out there). UEFA may take note though and does not like associations in legal quarrells.

I can see why you might say that but don´t agree. Let´s look at the period 2006 - 2015, we had leaders (as a club) who actively sought division within fan politics for their own interests and it contributed to how events played out during a very complicated period. On the other side of the city, unpalatable as it is, Fergus McCann actually led the club in a much more constructive way. It built the base for where they are today and therefore makes it very difficult for us and easier for them to keep their distance. That brings us to the SPFL and why IMO it is important to take advantage of the current battle and force the Celtic Minded controlling structure out and further discredit the seemingly inevitable, eventual calling of positions. You won´t reverse things overnight but we have to start winning our share of the battles. For that, we need leadership, a holistic strategy (and money).

What planet is MacLennan on and what credibility does he think he has left? At the weekend he exonerated Doncaster and Laidlaw of any wrongdoing and said that everything had been done properly. A not so polite "Shut up and fuck off while we wait for Dundee to hand in their Yes vote after they accept whatever crumbs fall of our table." Now, at the threat of an interim interdict from Partick Thistle, he says "Oh we might have to have a look at what happened on Friday after all." Oops, Klacksons wrong again. SPFL as indicated in emails to Rangers can give out loans against prize money. So if someone (please please please) takes out an injunction stopping payouts SPFL clubs can simply request loans from the SPFL. PTFC have already asked for this in a previous statement and are yet to be answered as far as I am aware. It's as if he's trying to stop someone taking out an injunction - wonder who gave him that idea and the wording for the article?

There's a big difference between what happened in 2008/12 and now. At least years ago they tried to hide the corruption and bribery. These days it's just so blatant. They don't care anymore because they know they can get away with it now that everyone in a position of power is controlled. I don't give a damn about the title. We lost that by the end of January. What concerns me is that we will never be allowed to win another one so long as they can get away with what they want. I can't see how we will ever have a level playing field. I'm trying to be optimistic, but every time there's light at the end of the tunnel, it turns out to be a train heading straight for us. I wish the current board had a silver bullet but they don't. I doubt they've really got any evidence which is strong enough to remove the main culprits so we are now facing further years of this. That's not the fault of our board though. I just hope however they take a stand and refuse all away tickets from now on. That is something that's becoming increasingly important to me. If our fans can't be trusted to boycott these clubs (which they can't) I'd like the club to take action. That will make more enemies but how can it possibly be worse than it is at the moment? One thing is for sure and that is that clubs will collapse next season. I expect many larger clubs to collapse first. I just hope our fans stick with our club though because every club in the world is vulnerable at the moment. Our club needs us more than ever right now.

When Douglas Park had a go at Shifty for the Private Eye article this morning (Daily Record), the SPFL office would have been almost happy,...as it smelt like desperation heading towards a familiar result. Next time we send out the angry statement, it´ll just be laughed at and mocked by the Scottish game in general. If this heads where it looks like going, it´s a bad start for Douglas Park and the new PR man. I feel sorry for the younger generation of supporter who haven´t seen a successful Rangers team and worry about the future.

Read the statement - there is no guarantee of reconstruction just a working group to look into it. They'll be no reconstruction that I am sure of.

Is it not also the case reconstruction will need an 11-1 vote. Now, ok Budge will be for sure fighting for the move but will kilmarnock. Hamilton. St mirren etc all want to have even less of the pot. Only upside for me? The fact that 8.75 in a row will always be laughed at. If we had finished the season we woulda ended up about 20+ points behind. The legal fight is partick and stranraer not ours. I'm not holding my breath for U.E.F.A. to do anything of interest to us. I'm quite sure that seeds of change have been planted though. There are a few clubs that are going to be damaged by this and many others who can now see that they are being lied to. This is all before we even consider any possible legal action.

They've been in discussion with them all week ,and there's still no answer as to why the vote didn't reach them. They also seem unhappy with ICT ,and Partick Th ,even though both clubs have been transparent throughout, can't say the same for Dundee.

I think Mearns Unionist's comment is quite clear - don't make sectarian comments about those Rangers want to see suspended and be patient. You could have Hannibal or Alexander the Great telling us all what to do and you'd still have people not doing it on social media, such is the nature of that beast.

I agree Frankie. I was concerned that we would receive no support from any clubs if the issue of funding was not possible to resolve. Now that there is an immediate alternative (i.e. these loans), I'd expect all clubs to ease their immediate concern and then more of them will support our call for an inquiry. I read PTFC's legal opinion. The one part that didn't stack up for me was their point about Dundee's vote continuing to count. I thought at first that this was weak because Dundee could change it to yes. However, their opinion seems to suggest that if an earlier deadline was implied which any reasonable person would believe (i.e. The 5pm) deadline, then this is binding. Actually that has precedent so this could provide them with all the ammo they need to gain an interim interdict. I wonder if that's just pushes all clubs to use the loan route which was proposed by Rangers. All fascinating stuff and great that Rangers are now able to keep their powder dry.
