Today is the 90th birthday of a truly wonderful inside forward Ian McMillan, a fantastic player many happy returns.5 points

If there is a guard of honour it will be another sign that football is essentially fucked, that playing to the gallery of public opinion is more important that playing the ball and respecting such traditions as bitter rivalry. I don't want it, Rangers certainly doesn't need it, Celtic doesn't want to do it. If it happens it will be a virtue signalling sham, everyone will know it and we will have taken one more step on the road to being a sanitised parody of ourselves.4 points

I find it hard that some Rangers fans just can't admit this! It's no slight on our club, players or management team that we sometimes will face teams that are better than us and that will best us. It always has to be our players or management teams failings rather that the opposition just being better.3 points

If what was said to Kamara was a racist comment, we should have walked off the pitch.3 points

Huge game. Every round we get past builds our reputation, fills the coffers and tops up the co-efficient. We are certainly favourites; Gerrard has lost only 1 out of 20 home EL ties, Slavia have a very patchy away record With the away goal in the bag they need a goal and we don't We held them off at their fortress, even when our game preparations were interrupted by celebrations They had an away league game on Sunday (4 days before game) whilst we've had a full week to rest and prepare. Psychologically I think we have the advantage after they threw everything at us and didn't get the home win, epitomised by McGregor's save Zima suspended, he's played 90 mins in each of their last 8 EL matches (albeit the on-loan Simon Deli, who turned down Rangers last summer for Club Brugge, seems an able replacement)3 points

McMillan is the most accurate passer of a football I have ever seen. Long, raking, slide rule passes into space for Scott to race onto or lightning quick short passes to foot to ignite Henderson, he was brilliant. He could also bring a ball under instant control despite harassment from defenders and he scored a few. Can’t remember much about his heading ability.3 points

Said the same at the time. We should have left the field. Force UEFA to walk the walk or their anti-racism campaigns are just empty words.2 points
-
No, of course not - I worded it badly. As a chum on Twitter said I hope Gerrard is giving them a chance to come out and admit what was said and apologise. If not take it all the way.2 points
-
He better not be giving them the chance to deal with it privately, there is no room for racism and we must take this all the way or we are utter hypocrites.2 points
-
Proud of the way our manager is dealing with what likes a fairly obvious incident of racism. Players just don't react like that to run of the mill derogatory language. I'd imagine he's giving Slavia a chance to deal with it privately but they don't look too keen.2 points

I’m a powerful bad loser. Normally it’s toys thrown, dummy spat. But this season, this team, I forgive them.2 points

As regards the game for the first time I'm questioning our tactics. Maybe we need to move away from our 4-3-3 now and then; Slavia outfoxed us with their game plan.2 points

you aren't making much sense just now. We have hardly downed tools tonight.2 points
-
Downed tools? Who's downed tools? This is last 16 of Europa League against a team who were in semi-finals two seasons ago, not the Bet Fred fucking cup.2 points

Hard as it is at the moment, reflection shows we've had a fantastic season. Domestic domination, 55 secured in March, qualification for EL Group Stages, unbeaten in the EL group stages and last 16 of EL.2 points

Been a great season, but there is still definitely still work to be done over the Summer. We are nearly there, but we need to make some top signings if we want to even pretend to compete in the CL.2 points

There was no need to disrupt the Goldson-Helander partnership, Balogun is a pretty clear downgrade for me2 points

Referee has set the tone and killed this game though by giving constant free kicks for absolutely nothing2 points

Very "streetwise" mob - every trick in the book and ref falling for it at every turn2 points
-
Can't really get any fluency thanks to their diving and fouling breaking up the play every 2 minutes. The ref is shocking. How did Kamara get booked? He literally could not stop his body from moving2 points
-
Plenty time to get back in this and it's frustrating that we seem to lack that wee bit belief that would see us cause them more issues. Unfortunately Aribo and Arfield have both been poor so we're asking too much of Morelos and Kent as it stands. Not helped by an incredibly lenient ref who is allowing Prague to clutter the game up with cynical fouls without a booking to stop it. There is something left in this tie but we need to roll our sleeves up, use the ball better and get more men into the box wherever we can.2 points
-
Arfield struggling to make an impact, might be worth bringing Hagi on and pushing Aribo back one. Aribo isn’t getting much joy anyway.2 points

A member of an iconic, possibly the iconic, Rangers' team: Ritchie Shearer Caldow Greig McKinnon Baxter Henderson McMillan Millar Brand Wilson That he was good enough not only to play in that side, but to be known, during his time at Ibrox, as 'The Wee Prime Minister', ie the boss, speaks volumes.2 points

Yeh I’m a bit disappointed about Helander in particular, I think he’s a key player. My guess is they decided that Sima’s pace is too much of a danger, and maybe they are right. Hagi I can understand, it’s a tie we win if we don’t concede and Aribo is always a risk on the right side of the midfield 3, but Aribo’s form is probably a little bit better than Hagi’s at the moment and he caused them more problems last week.2 points
-
Quite an interesting line up just announced with Balogun back in for Helander, Arfield in midfield and Aribo further forward with Hagi benched. Helander & Hagi very unlucky to miss out, both been playing very well recently.2 points

Extremely tough match tonight, however as always if we bring our A game we are a match for most teams, this is a very dangerous team, but we can win the match2 points

Today's site content really has me excited for tonight's game. Just as well I don't have any bevvy at work...! FWIW, my opinion is that the relaxed 'free hits' in Europe have now gone for this newly proven Rangers team. Tonight is a great opportunity to take further strides forward.2 points

Looks like Jack will miss at least tomorrow night unfortunately. Love the lad a lot but I suspect the manager will be looking at another midfielder for next season if he can't prove his fitness over the rest of this campaign. I think strengthening our midfield options is going to be vitally important in our defence of the title and qualification for the CL group stages...2 points

Just coming to the end of my final year now Ian, been mental the last year. Finding time to eat had been difficult ffs! Lost a stone in weight?1 point

Not convinced they are a better team, but they fully deserved to go through, (for now anyway before they are thrown out for racism!). Too many of our players who have been superstars for us all season have had a mare tonight and you can’t play at this level with half a team missing. And for as bad as we were we were still well in it until Roofe shat out of going for a through ball with his head and almost decapitated the keeper instead. Im sure the ref was Beaton or Clancy in disguise!1 point

Read your post, you said we've downed tools - an astonishing claim after season we've had. Even if we don't win another game this season, it's been best season in many a year1 point

Balogun has been a causing us trouble all night, that’s game definitely over now.1 point

At this stage last season we were blown away by a team who were technically far superior to us, tonight we've met a team who are decent, but streetwise. If we do go out, it will feel like an opportunity missed.1 point

Can only hope they get complacent and we catch them out but I don’t think so1 point

Getting beat by the better team. No complaints with the scoreline, in fact we are lucky we are only 1-0 down. This team are no mugs. Huge 2nd half performance required if we want to progress. Some players need to stand up and be counted.1 point

Unless the bench can rescue this I think this is probably the end of our EL road. Far too many passengers tonight.1 point

How many times are they allowed to foul Kent before getting a card?1 point

it's simple. Rangers fans don't vote together the way celtc fans do. you can do anything to us and we will still vote for you for some reason.1 point
