  1. Our last season with Morelos. We've been good for each other. Make the most of what's left.

  2. Reference Ewan Murray. I first came across Ewan Murray amid the early Spring dappled sunshine of Avenida da Liberdade, Lisbon. It was the quarter-final of the UEFA Cup against the Sporting Club de Portugal, anxious anticipation was in the air. A group of half-a-dozen had gone over on a five day trip, Monday to Friday, took in the vineyards and the Fado. It was the day before the game and we sat in a street-side cafe, enjoying the coffee and the local custard tarts. An ambiance of frivolity darkened as two chaps in matching chinos, pastel shaded shirts, and careless pullovers around shoulders entered and sat opposite. It was Spiers and his then Catamite, Ewan Murray. They talked golf grips, demonstratively so; then inquired if we could recommend a restaurant? My mate, Colin asked if they enjoyed chocolate? He took their nonplussed look as an affirmative, and offered, "you can eat each other". We left. True story.

  3. I see no reason we would sell a key player who is contracted till 2023 in January when we might expect to be in a title race. He can Pull a £20 million plus fee just as easily in the Summer window.

  4. We need to be realistic, Morelos will go either in January or at the end of the season. We should already be looking for his successor

  5. From one angle the Morelos penalty looks soft, but from every other angle and from the Aberdeen player's reaction it's a clear penalty. I saw the Tweet and actually thought Ewen Murray was trolling the BBC, but looking at his replies to incredulous supporters it seems he wasn't.

  6. If rumors are to be believed the manager isn’t the issue. Apparently Vertonghen got caught with Eriksen’s Mrs - Eriksen says his mind isn’t on football, there was a massive dressing room bust up and someone lamped Vertonghen. They’ve also apparently refused to renew Vertonghen’s contract. All rumour though so may not be factual

  7. And a huge transfer fee with a sell on clause .

  8. Sadly I think you are right. International recognition, and hopefully some goals, will hopefully bolster his sell-on value.

  9. Tierney signing raised the bar + players cost more in the winter window. An injury prone LB or a player who has not been injured in at least 2 seasons and has scored more than 30 goals. He can't cost less than Tierrney surely.

  10. Personally I would sack the manager he's as they say lost the dressing room it all started at the champions cup final when he played Kane who had been out injured and had a stinker and dropped the lad who put them in the final .

  11. BT wanted the Hamilton Rangers game at the end of November to be played on the Friday evening. After some discussions it was put back to the 24th.

  13. 'Front sweeper' - now, there's a new position. whatever happened to cattenaccio with a sweeper lying well behind 4 defenders? I do believe we have the players to play such a system if we find ourselves up against superior opposition.

  15. Good read that. And what most folk have known for a long time, one side spinning the life out of one story and keeping the lid firmly shut on the other. "All SFA member clubs (and this includes Rangers) should be ashamed of themselves." I cant help but agree with this line. Rangers have a duty to protect itself, write its own history and set the record straight on many subjects. We lost 4 years (minimum) no amount of dignified silence will buy that back.

  16. I did say that was what we should have got a year ago, when we should have sold him and kept Alnwick as back up. If this is the last year of his contract we have handled this badly.
