  1. I understand out travelling support being loyal and "follow following" but surely the time has truly come to hit them ALL where it hurts, in the pocket.

  2. Well, guys, it is clear that the SPFL is calling the Club's position and it is time to get the ya-yas out. If Rangers has evidence sufficient to have caused its actions over the holiday weekend, then it will have to pursue an Interdict in court. It will have to do this quickly, ie tomorrow or Friday, this week. I don't even know if this is possible. If Park, and the Board, and the Club, were showboating, and acting on a whim, then I am speechless, as the outcome will be worse than that which would result from maintenance of the traditional dignified silence.

  3. Appointing Hearts and Hamilton to lead up the reconstruction debate shows one thing and one thing only. It has been a total stitch up and they don't care who sees it.

  5. The Board threw down a challenge. It is up to the Board to follow that through. If it was merely grandstanding or posturing, then it deserves all that it gets. There is one rather important thing to bear in mind, one that I hope The Board took into account before launching its weekend assault; to wit, Scottish football teams, and their supporters, hate Rangers, and they hate Pederasty FC, too. The difference, in practice, is that they realise that they may damage Rangers, but that the Molesters remain untouchable, and will remain so, for the forseeable future.

  6. I suspect that Dundee will have found that they voted yes and got stiffed for their trouble. Likewise, so too will Hearts. because you are right, they won't vote to lose a home game against us and Celtic, all to be replaced with home game against, say, Dundee.

  7. The big problem is ... the world will not care. Scottish football is insignificant even on a bright day without war, Corona et al. What happens in that dark place behind Hadrian`s Wall where males run about in skirts is of no concern to anyone. And in 3 months time, no-one will care anyway. UNLESS ... someone takes the SPFL to court over this and attracts worldwide interest (albeit diminished by the tragedy goin on out there). UEFA may take note though and does not like associations in legal quarrells.

  11. too right they will.... You just need to read this to know... ""The resolution also gives authority to the board to make a decision on the remainder of the Ladbrokes Premiership season and the board is committed to consulting with Premiership clubs before any such decision is made." " Which of ANY of the clubs in the top flight will vote against it, us aside ? 1. They are all desperate for money so will take whatever they get in the position they are in 2. Any such vote, I think, requires an 11-1 affirmative vote 3. Two clubs would have voted against - us and Hearts 4. Reconstruction to not relegate Hearts has been "put on the table" 5. Ann Budge is to chair that committee (absolutely screaming of conflict of interest) 6. Reconstruction.... because Budge will ensure there IS reconstruction which ensures Hearts aren't relegated - and therefore the vote will be 11-1 All with little more desired than to hand Celtic a title. Scottish football, still hating itself to death - sickened to the point of "almost" wanting to turn my back on it all. Absolutely appalling, disgusting charade

  14. I can see why you might say that but don´t agree. Let´s look at the period 2006 - 2015, we had leaders (as a club) who actively sought division within fan politics for their own interests and it contributed to how events played out during a very complicated period. On the other side of the city, unpalatable as it is, Fergus McCann actually led the club in a much more constructive way. It built the base for where they are today and therefore makes it very difficult for us and easier for them to keep their distance. That brings us to the SPFL and why IMO it is important to take advantage of the current battle and force the Celtic Minded controlling structure out and further discredit the seemingly inevitable, eventual calling of positions. You won´t reverse things overnight but we have to start winning our share of the battles. For that, we need leadership, a holistic strategy (and money).

  15. What planet is MacLennan on and what credibility does he think he has left? At the weekend he exonerated Doncaster and Laidlaw of any wrongdoing and said that everything had been done properly. A not so polite "Shut up and fuck off while we wait for Dundee to hand in their Yes vote after they accept whatever crumbs fall of our table." Now, at the threat of an interim interdict from Partick Thistle, he says "Oh we might have to have a look at what happened on Friday after all." Perhaps he is planning that the SPFL should employ the same investigators who are going through the emotional carnage generated by Celtic Boys Club on behalf of its Separate Entity - so that after a lengthy and uncommitted search through the long grass we'll still have no answers in 3 years time. The sooner this useful idiot is shown the door the better.

  17. Lifted from FF: Brief Summary of Tonight's Meeting MearnsUnionist Well-Known Member 47 minutes ago #1 As much as I can say Bears. Another meeting tomorrow night at 5pm. Rangers aren't letting up with the push for the public enquiry, or relaxing their demand for the suspensions of previously named persons. This isn't going to be resolved overnight and we need to show a bit of patience, as frustrating as that may be. It is also important that we don't allow them to play the victim card, which they are so desperate to do. No matter how much you despise "the accused", please refrain from abusing them, especially in a sectarian way, on social media. Don't give them any ammo to use against us that may allow them to dodge the accusations. It's a bit like the old Jimmy Reid speech on the Clyde when the shipyards went on strike, if you know what I mean. The club are 100% committed to fighting this, but we need to understand what they're up against and support them towards the end result we all want. Sorry I can't elaborate any more on details at this stage, but that will come.

  18. Oops, Klacksons wrong again. SPFL as indicated in emails to Rangers can give out loans against prize money. So if someone (please please please) takes out an injunction stopping payouts SPFL clubs can simply request loans from the SPFL. PTFC have already asked for this in a previous statement and are yet to be answered as far as I am aware. It's as if he's trying to stop someone taking out an injunction - wonder who gave him that idea and the wording for the article?

  19. There's a big difference between what happened in 2008/12 and now. At least years ago they tried to hide the corruption and bribery. These days it's just so blatant. They don't care anymore because they know they can get away with it now that everyone in a position of power is controlled. I don't give a damn about the title. We lost that by the end of January. What concerns me is that we will never be allowed to win another one so long as they can get away with what they want. I can't see how we will ever have a level playing field. I'm trying to be optimistic, but every time there's light at the end of the tunnel, it turns out to be a train heading straight for us. I wish the current board had a silver bullet but they don't. I doubt they've really got any evidence which is strong enough to remove the main culprits so we are now facing further years of this. That's not the fault of our board though. I just hope however they take a stand and refuse all away tickets from now on. That is something that's becoming increasingly important to me. If our fans can't be trusted to boycott these clubs (which they can't) I'd like the club to take action. That will make more enemies but how can it possibly be worse than it is at the moment? One thing is for sure and that is that clubs will collapse next season. I expect many larger clubs to collapse first. I just hope our fans stick with our club though because every club in the world is vulnerable at the moment. Our club needs us more than ever right now.

  20. The whole thing is a shambles and I hope we make the challenge to the bending and distorting of the SPFL rules and that we do not embarrass ourselves. The only way the decision made would have any credibility would be if,in each division,if all teams had played the same amount of games therefore taking away the games in hand situation. At the moment I am giving serious consideration to giving up my season ticket IF the Gers Board make a monumental cock-up after their claims.

  22. Brain fried!!. So! Rangers have requested an independent inquiry! what next? how does this happen? will there be one? if there is one does this not put the hand brake on regards the vote & reconstruction?. If there is an independent inquiry who will hold it? what do we stand to lose if it doesn't go our way? what if it does go our way?. Right! I'm off to sit in a dark corner!!?

  24. Lifted from FF: SPFL reconstruction: 14 team Premiership would be "insane" claims Ayr United chairman Lachlan CameronThe straight-talking Ayr owner insists reconstruction should not be about "appeasing" certain clubs.Ayr United chairman Lachlan Cameron tonight branded the idea of a 14 team Scottish Premiership "insane" as he pledged to vote against any such move. The Somerset Park chief fired a warning shot as the stage was set for talks on SPFL reconstruction. It follows Dundee's long-awaited vote earlier today that signalled the early end of the lower league seasons.Crunch negotiations are now set to take place on the future setup of the game. But Ayr owner Cameron is furious at the prospect of an expanded Premiership welcoming Inverness, who currently sit second in the Championship, two places above Ayr in fourth. He told the Ayrshire Post : "I have no interest in suing people or pursuing legal challenges."But if that is the proposal put to us, I will find myself having a very real problem."You can't tell me that, all of a sudden, a 14 team Premiership is the solution to our game's problems."Let's be realistic about this. If we go down this road, we're doing it to appease the likes of Hearts and Partick Thistle."And I'm sorry but that's insane."If you're going to restructure, do it properly, not because you're worried about the legal challenges flying around."Also, why should Inverness be promoted from our league when they are in a play-off place just the same as Dundee and Ayr United?"I would view that as grossly unfair."The 42 member clubs are set to chew the fat as Hearts' Ann Budge and Hamilton's Les Gray lead a reconstruction taskforce. But Ayr chairman Cameron insists his club won't be bullied into backing the much mooted 14 team setup. He said: "We've done the logical thing by finally passing the SPFL resolution."It was pretty ugly and not perfect, and not everyone was going to like it, but it was the best way forward in the circumstances as far as I could tell."We're in danger of opening ourselves up to more farce here."If I could be convinced that a 14 team Premiership was the way to go, of course I'd support it. But I'm not."And by the way, it's not like I'm a huge fan of a 16 team setup either."I have long argued for either 18 or 20 but we all know that will never happen."What I'm simply saying is you can't force through a 14 team Premiership off the back of all this. It wouldn't be right."

  27. That's what I meant - nobody will care it was handed to them. Just look on Twitter just now for DUFC celebrations - on the day 761 people died in the UK they are celebrating being HANDED a title - the scum will be the same. Couple weeks later nobody all care or mention it apart for us.

  28. Read the statement - there is no guarantee of reconstruction just a working group to look into it. They'll be no reconstruction that I am sure of.

  29. Is it not also the case reconstruction will need an 11-1 vote. Now, ok Budge will be for sure fighting for the move but will kilmarnock. Hamilton. St mirren etc all want to have even less of the pot. I dont think for a second they will be able to push that though. It's all going to get even more inner fighting I think .

  32. This just illustrates why the current voting systems needs to be changed now. I'd imagine many votes in future will see smaller clubs take the same corrupt approach by voting no and then holding others to ransom. How ridiculous, but of course the early release of the voting position "so far" facilitated this. The SPFL knew it and are wholly complicit in this bribery scandal. How can Doncaster and co realistically hold on to their positions now. If they do, we really need to accept that our country's footballing authorities are not only corrupt, but above the law too. What then? We will need to take this to higher authorities but that takes time. I wonder if there's an opportunity in the current climate to reinvigorate the calls for us to join the premier league or new European league structure somehow. This corruption just makes me sick. If our board can reach a satisfactory conclusion I will be in awe, but everything is stacked against us. I just hope we take every opportunity in the future to withhold funding for these clubs. With parasites like Nelms in charge they surely deserve to go under. I hope they do.

  33. Be that as it may, the vote was sent and did reach the SPFL, even via the spam folder et al. It got a time stamp when it was sent in Dundee's account and also when it was received, spam filter or not. Would have to double check where it was mentioned, but by the Articles of Association a letter/mail/you name it counts as delivered when it was sent. There is no reason why Dundee or anyone else should get a re-vote, even if someone wrote that the mail shall not be counted. Going by that logic and common sense and integrity, any other club should afforded the chance to "re-think" ... now that it has become clear that the deadline was no real deadline. With regards to the latest Dundee statement, it just looks to be a more articulate and longer version than the previous, saying in essence, nothing.

  36. "There will be no hooligansm, there will be no vandalism and there will be no bevvying because the world is watching us...." Jimmy Reid was a leader of men. A trait that is sadly lacking today as Joe Punter tends to get propagandized into a land where general independent cognitive ability tends to be moulded into the required shape. Within the self-interested and narrow clusterf**k that is Scottish fitbaw, it´s a sad reflection on the fans that a third rate media still manage to hold so much influence. It makes any type of tactical or strategic move that Rangers might push for will feel like swimming against the tide with the added difficulty that we have very few natural allies, partly down to politics, partly our own fault or the way we have tended to play things over the past few years. From geo-politics to the SPFL, all the controlling powerbases of various levels know the importance of trying to maintain control of the narrative. Sometimes when something consequential actually happens, after consuming much of the media, it would appear that it did not happen or that it was of little import. So the SPFL meet again tonight....As the poster on FF says, patience is required. Pity the likes of Jimmy Reid wasn´t still around with a message modified for the social media age.

  37. I understand they had to be cautious (but let’s be honest there is no way Doncaster or Lawell can sue anybody making accusations over this) and I don’t know how they managed to keep cool and professional when we can see clearly what is going on. They guys done really well.

  38. I agree Frankie. I was concerned that we would receive no support from any clubs if the issue of funding was not possible to resolve. Now that there is an immediate alternative (i.e. these loans), I'd expect all clubs to ease their immediate concern and then more of them will support our call for an inquiry. I read PTFC's legal opinion. The one part that didn't stack up for me was their point about Dundee's vote continuing to count. I thought at first that this was weak because Dundee could change it to yes. However, their opinion seems to suggest that if an earlier deadline was implied which any reasonable person would believe (i.e. The 5pm) deadline, then this is binding. Actually that has precedent so this could provide them with all the ammo they need to gain an interim interdict. I wonder if that's just pushes all clubs to use the loan route which was proposed by Rangers. All fascinating stuff and great that Rangers are now able to keep their powder dry.
