  1. I still think Docherty wasn't given a chance and we need his type of player in some games, last Sunday's being an example. I'd play Docherty over Hagi in that type of match all season long. I noticed Lewis MacLoed, once of this parish, joined Plymouth this week, he joins Ryan Hardie there. He's another that's had a terrible time with injuries.

  3. The likes of Croatia is where we should be looking for players. England is unaffordable

  4. We won't be going until there is a vaccine. We bought our season tickets in the full knowledge that we may not attend a match.

  6. Now you know why our game at the girodome got moved to October from its traditional slot in August. Had this game been due to been played at ibrox it would have gone ahead as scheduled. welcome to the corrupt state of Scottish football. No wonder sponsors won’t touch it with a barge pole

  7. It’s all a matter of who blinks first. Lille saying they are covered whilst we say their offer isn’t sufficient. Nothing wrong with that. Appears that Lille MIGHT have blinked first by saying they “might come back in with an improved offer”. Time will tell. I think I’d prefer to move on Kent than Morelos and replace Kent with a little more end product - and I’m surprised I say that because Kent gives you 100% every single time he steps on the pitch..... but at what we paid we aren’t quite getting value for money. But the issue with keeping Morelos is whether his heart will be in it if his head has been turned. Decisions decisions. Can’t imagine us picking up any new forward players unless Morelos or Kent are moving on.

  9. Well we have reportedly rejected 10. But 20, in my opinion, is fanciful. Don’t forget we signed Barisic for £1.5m a couple of years ago, a Croatian international. We get preoccupied with English transfer fees when we should be more concerned with transfer fees in leagues like our own.

  10. Once an EPL club comes knocking, the player's head is turned. No point holding on to someone who wants to be elsewhere.

  11. We'll there is little point in selling him then. A circa £3M profit (less if there was a sell on clause) isn't the business model we require to fund strengthening the squad or boost our finances.

  12. I can't wait for Walter to give McCann a wee skelp on the back of the head when we're drifting in the game.

  14. Good! I'm glad we are showing some balls in pricing our players. I'm happy for him to stay, but if he is to leave we should be getting top £'s for our best players.

  16. Other way round, surely. Rangers due the money to Wigan for taking him off their hands.

  17. I’d have him back too. We haven’t replaced his goals from MF

  19. I’m told Wigan Athletic (in administration) still owe Rangers £500k for Josh Windass. Could the trialist be him ? ?

  20. I'm of the opinion that we paid far too much for Kent. Any kind of profit would be good. Gerrard doesn't like wingers, so get £10m for one and then spend it on the midfield, where we desperately need alternatives.

  21. Totally agree. No idea why some would settle for £10-15m? No chance-we should be looking for minimus £20m as he is on a 5 year deal and we bought him for 7.5 and Liverpool have a sell on clause. Do the math, selling him for 10-12m is hardly worth thinking about. £20m minimum.

  22. Not sure Boyle would work for us Relies on his pace but he wouldnt need that with us as he wouldnt have any spaces to run into. Often we see these players that look good with lesser teams struggle with the OF because the way they have to play needs to adapt - see O'Halloran as an example.

  23. The journalist seemed very confident, but we'll see. If the bid is a serious one, a move to the EPL (and EPL wages) would be too good to refuse for Kent so we would be forced to negotiate. Personally, I think as a club our aspiration is to become a conveyor belt of talent, a selling club, who back our scouts to find replacements. We have invested heavily in our scouting.
