  1. Sini Singing this and TBB has allowed the Hibs fanbase to put pressure on their board, which they have obviously found impossible to ignore. Our support needs to be a bit more sensible at times. It's fine for the young team to be rebellious and sing that stuff but the result is fewer tickets for our support going forward, and that could be further replicated in other grounds (and already has in most). I'd hope that our board respond and similarly cut Hibs allocation...maybe a wee trip to the club deck for their chosen few is called for....given the vandalism at Ibrox and their equally offensive chants both at the weekend and at Ibrox.

  2. Agree with PoohBear, far too much shit being sung by all clubs fanbase. singing "glory glory what a hell of a way to die" the other night when a player was in serious distress i found most disgusting.

  3. I don't have a problem with their statement. It's been an age since I've been to a match, but I wouldn't want to be taking my kids to one. Too many idiots about. I dunno why people have a fixation on keeping up all the aggressive or offensive bollocks personally.

  4. The way I read it there wasn't any hypocrisy. They condemned their own fans behaviour and said they were acting on it.

  5. The Rangers travelling support should take careful note of the Hibs statement. We can indulge in whataboutery because hypocrisy drips from the Hibees travelling support but, it will NOT help. The Scottish Government are determined to push their 'Hate Crime' policy through Holyrood and they are looking for a specific to aid the process. As a club, Hibs enjoy a raft of both political and social influence. Ian Blackford, Peter Murrell, Kenny Macaskill, ....... etc are all Hibees. There is not a single elected representative in either the SNP or the Green Party will admit to supporting Rangers. Our club is not the establishment club in this country and has not been for in excess of half a century. I will remind you of Humza's determination to see club and players punished for a clearly doctored video of supposed sectarian singing within the Blue Room. The initial consequence will be a cut in the Rangers allocation. The long term effects will be harder to bear, we are already on FARE's hate list and they have considerable influence within UEFA. Rangers do not have the excuse regularly awarded to other clubs ie 'cheeky rivalry'.

  8. My instinct is that people should be free to be offensive if they so wish and those who are intent on being offended should grow up. However, given the deeply held animosity towards Rangers throughout the political and judicial world, I think this is a tide we can no longer swim against without risking considerable harm to our club. That said, our enemies will always find a reason to call for sanctions against us. Where reasons don't exist, they will simply create them. There's no escaping the hatred and envy.

  9. Hibs have a cheek to complain with the way the kettle away supporters and delay entrance to Easter road. There’s a serious accident waiting to happen there. I’m only surprised it hasn’t already happened.

  10. If Benfica knock us out, we still need two or three players back before the yahoo game. If we knock Benfica out, we'll need even more bodies. Hopefully Cantwell and a couple of wide players get back into the squad during the break.

  11. Absolutely, but it could be a big IF. We are so thread bare right now and with some players are going through a dip in form as you say - I'll say collectively, as I dont want to single anybody out. But we are in danger of bottoming out at such a crucial time. The one saving grace may just be the international break.

  12. Remember when the yahoos celebrated the Offensive Behaviour Bill (or whatever it was called) coming in, prior to it biting them on the arse. Hibs fans aren't really bothered about songs. Like their Oirish brethren, they're bothered about us winning things and being Scottish champions. They will never stop whining and moaning until we are gone, dead, disappeared, ended. Don't forget that when you're trying to appease their hollow outrage.

  13. Oh good, he will be ready to participate in the annual large open air music festival that takes place in Larkhall. I believe a masked flautist would be novel?

  14. I didn't hear that. Someone from the club needs to have a word about that. As for the rest of it, some of the songs do need to stop but the hypocrisy of Hibs makes it sound like sour grapes. Throwing obstacles, including a sharp knife, on to the pitch is reprehensible. I said the same about the idiot who threw the glass from the Copland. As for scribbling 66 on all the seats, that is worse than a hurty song.
