I'd prefer the cash to go to the club than to a third party. It's also a sad way to look at things if you look at cash going into the club as just propping up someone's investment.

I'm not forgetting that. FIFA have done all they can to reassure the likes of the SFA in respect of the Olympic Games but it wasn't enough for some people. Why should a Team GB in the Olympics make it any more likely that they will merge the 4 nations? if they have the ability and the desire then they will do it whether Team GB plays in the Olympics with all 4 nations or not. It's an imaginary risk put out there by people who have political or personal reasons for doing it rather than any real concern about the Scottish national team's existance.

Genuine question here, and it's nothing to do with the Celtic situation. Child abuse is obviously nothing to do with religion, but is the cover up of it on its discovery? Would the CofE try and hide the perpetrators from the law or would they be immediately reported?

That's a point I've been thinking about as well. I'm sure the bonuses for our UEFA cup run were negotiated between Ferguson and Bain, and therefore surely could not be included in any contract? There may have been mention of them but I doubt that there are specific amounts mentioned. I presume other clubs must be the same as well? Another example of hypocrisy in Scottish football.
