  1. As for McCormack, he's a wee Celtic loving bassa. I don't rate Naismith but I'd rather have him with us than that toerag.
  2. Naismith hasn't had a run in the team but then again, he hasn't shown anything to suggest that he deserves a run. I'm also not convinced by him. He doesn't look to have the pace to play left side, and is therefore up against Boyd, Lafferty and Miller for a place in the centre.
  3. I'd like to see us start the season with Lafferty and Miller upfront and a new centre half. Although Boyd is our top scorer with nobody else chipping in much, that's partly due to the way that we play. A new centre half would mean the back 4 could play higher up the park allowing our midfield to do so also. This should result in more goals coming from the midfield. With Lafferty being a lot more mobile than Boyd, it would also assist in more chances being created for the team as a whole, and dropping Boyd wouldn't necessarily mean less goals for the team.
  4. We owe these brave soldiers so much. Thank you, Harry, on behalf of me and my family. RIP.
  5. Our transfewr kitty could be part of the £3m we will get if Celtic don't qualify for the CL. Perhaps they are waiting for them to get knocked out before looking at anyone?
  6. May have seen it written down like that, but I've never heard it being used. Is a nickname really a nickname if nobody uses it?
  7. I'm sure that the font of all knowledge, 26th of Foot, has previously used story one as the reason. However I can't say that I've ever really heard us being called the light blues.
  8. I'm going for Lafferty, on the proviso that Smith plays him consistently up front.
  9. Could they not be seen as an indication of who Smith sees as being his first team squad? :box:
  10. More than a little.
  11. Yet another attempt to try and say the Sash is sectarian.....
  12. I don't think he is mobile enough to play in a 4-4-2. He is best suited to playing in the middle of a 4-5-1. Other players have been criticised by the support in the past and are able to ignore it and or/overcome it. (McCoist, Hutton etc) i'm not sure that Adam has that ability. He lets it get to him. I remember in what was possibly his last game (?) against Celtic at Ibrox and he played well for the first 20-25 minutes, but made one mistake and totally lost his confidence and wouldn't try anything after that. Other players continue trying. He didn't. The criticism he has received has been vastly over the top, particuaklrly as he has been arguably played out of position but it just hasn't worked out for him and it's best if he moves on.
  13. Despite all of Beckham's talents, he has not behaved well over the Milan affair. He was virtually refusing to return to the team he was contracted to, unless they gave him permission to miss part of the season, and deserves all the abuse he gets from the Galaxy fans.

  15. Arguably the worst draw they could have had?
  16. I'd put it down to his lack of pace. That will put a lot of teams off.
  17. I didn't think his performances for the club would merit that. I'd have Weir or Moore in front of him as a 4th centre half.
  18. Was there anyone willing to pay more for him? A question that none of us can answer but there wasn't much interest from anyone else, and we are better off getting the cash and getting him off the payroll than risking keeping him.
  19. I'm not an expert on Blackpool's full back so can't comment. However if we were buying Adam now, would you be happy if we bought him for £1m? I certainly wouldn't.
  20. Coz he ain't that good? It's Blackpool remember. If he was a better player than that a bigger club with more cash would come in for him.
  21. I think that the WS posts are something that need to be reviewed. The forum risks being filled with them and the pravda type posts from the official website take over. At least if the likes of Ian are posting them, I'd hope that he would at least review it first and decide if it was of interest, and perhaps add a comment himself on his own thoughts. I know it's early days but just having half the subjects on the forum being dictated by the official site is fairly boring. Threads are much more interesting when users start them with their own comments and views.
  22. It's £13m per annum, which I believe is in line with what Setanta currently pay, but less than the new deal that was going to kick in.
  23. Taking my boy along to get on on Saturday. Can you keep one aside for him, Walter?
