  1. No, it was a turn off and i stopped going to games because i didn't want to sit through it. Wasn't quite as bad as it is now right enough. The only thing keeping me going just now is my son.
  2. Walter more often than not won titles and had the beating of Celtic, that hides a multitude of sins for so many fans. Walter also had a challenge on every front, Ally has a doddle and is still making it look hard. Players respected Walter in a way they clearly do not of Ally which also makes a huge difference.
  3. We really should because it will directly affect what we need to do to catch them.
  4. Even Ally can't mess that up. It's another gimme. It will be as hard as we make it. Ally will make sure we make hard work of it but there is no doubt we will win it comfortably in the end. The quality is just not there to beat us, not over a season anyway. And Locke is every bit as clueless as Ally thankfully!
  5. Hearts are finished as a club. We will obviously win the Championship next year which means at least 2 years in the wilderness for the Jambos.
  6. No doubt we could do with Miller. Been there, done it, wore the t-shit and slayed the tims. Clark is not upto it yet, Daly needs help and Little will never be good enough. Shiels has no future here and is not a striker, McKay is on loan and is no longer a striker, he plays on the wings, Tempelton another who may have no future here and is not a striker either. Of all those you mention none of them will contribute anything like what Boyd and Miller did for us. Miller, Boyd and Daly would be excellent choices as we go up the next two levels, 3 older heads complimented by a couple of younger hungry to learn kids. We are going to need men to wrestle that title from Celtic in 18 months time, not kids. I also disagree both have had their day, Boyd especially has unfinished business. I do agree however about young fresh talent, long term, but don't feel what we currently have is good enough. I want to see a couple from the Under 20's given a chance.
  7. Hutton came good very young, did he not? Debut at 18 and a £9m transfer before his 25th birthday. Sure he was inconsistent but what kid isn't? At least Alan showed that he had something special in his locker even in his teens. He was playing in the big league against the best players, in Europe and for his country. The likes of Andy Little, Ross Perry and Kyle Hutton will never be in his league. We have seen more than enough of them to know that.
  8. It's the complete opposite Pete although both clubs are originally from Methodist leanings. The huge influx of Irish immigrants in recent decades though to the city of Liverpool just muddles things up a bit but Liverpool were always our friends and Everton theirs. Evertons club anthem is actually "It's a grand old team to play for, if you know your history and all that sh*te". YNWA was originally a Man Utd song, taken by Liverpool and stolen again by Celtic. I wore my Liverpool/Rangers scarf to the match at Anfield a few weeks back and the only funny looks i got were from an older lady with a Liverpool/Celtic scarf! 3 of Liverpools greatest ever in Hanson, Dalglish and Souness were all Bluenoses too. They were also founded by a Protestant Freemason. John Houlding. We have some great historical links with them.
  9. Still Scotlands number 1 right back in their best team for 20 years.
  10. Promote from within until a time comes where we can attract or even afford a first team right back. We may end up with another Alan Hutton if we are lucky. Worst case scenario they struggle but let's be honest everyone we have tried there in last 3 years have struggled. Bonus there is the high earners are off the books. Personally I would rather see more of our own kids than more Faures or Fosters.
  11. Have yet to see a Celtic fan named and shamed for what he is on Crimewatch.
  12. Consistantly average, Seb has not been great if truth be told. Certainly better than Foster right enough!
  13. All the best guys.
  14. You mean like putting their faces on crimewatch like they done to our fans after Manchester and then smash their doors in during the night to arrest them?
  15. And your point is? It's a football forum for football fans to discuss...........their football team. It's pretty obvious the manager, the players, the teams will be pertinent talking points! Bowing out is certainly easier than answering questions you do not like the answer to Ian. So let us bow out together with a disagreement. Football first for me, blazers first for you. Each to their own. I wish you no ill feelings but all the very best for the new year mate. Have a good one.
  16. Simonsen Smith Faure Foster Cribari Perry Hegarty Shiels Hutton Peralta Mitchell And i would personally add Little, McCulloch, Black and probably Clark to that list.
  17. Simonsen Smith Faure Foster Cribari Perry Hegarty Shiels Hutton Peralta Mitchell And i would personally add Little, McCulloch, Black and probably Clark to that list. 14/15. I don't believe we need and 14/15 who will certainly be no use to us in 18 months time. That would leave us with a core of 15 players, our best 15 and still paying more in wages than just about every other club in the country yet saving around £3m per year. With 3 or 4 added from the Under 20's who are now ready and bursting to step up gives us a squad of almost 20 and still paying more in wages than just about every other club in the country. Plenty to get us through the next 6 months and an excellent base of youth and enthusiasm to drive us into the next two leagues. That is all without buying or signing a single player yet. Who knows what funds could be freed up or made available should that 14 find new clubs. And before anyone starts, of course 14 is unrealistic, of course it is but it is what i believe we need. I would certainly support such a cull of the passengers. We have simply got too many players who are contributing nothing and who have no long term future with us.
  18. Aye? Which spivs took £833k our of our club last year? Raped being past tense. Using your word, who is raping it now? Right now, post AGM? What money do we have going where? Greens away, Ahmads away. On field director bonuses will no longer be paid. We haven't paid anyone off in months. We are as stable now as we have been in the last 3 years. I ain't saying we are trouble free but it is impossible to say for sure what happened under Greens watch will happen again now he's gone. That's just scaremongering and muckraking. You are battering your head against a wall bleating on about the board to be honest, nothing is going to change. We are a football club, my primary worry is my football team not a boardroom full of blazers. The board have warned us costs need cut and of course they do, only a fool would suggest otherwise. If our manager has to persist with paying players 100 times that of his opponent just to get results then i suggest we start our clear out in his office. We have a squad of 30 first team players, we can only play 11. We have so many sitting doing nothing, offering nothing, to use your word "raping" our club of money without giving anything back. We have more players who are going to be no use to us in just 18 months than will be of use, it's obvious the squad needs streamlined. This is the time to cut the dross, get rid of any passengers and hangers on. This is the time for our football club to get it right. I hope Wallace has the balls.
  19. Speak for yourself, i want player cuts, i am passionate about getting rid of passengers like Perry, Hutton and Cribari. I will back the board 100% on player cuts. Even McCulloch on his wage, we don't need him. We have about 13 players we don't need right now costing us millions per year.
  20. We should bin the 13 passengers first thing in the morning.
  21. He is a very learned man who talks so well and so enthusiastically about football. Would love him at Rangers.
