  1. However, Sandy Easdale has been acting as a shadow RIFC plc director for quite some time now. That is no more evident than the fact that it is he is the Easdale brother who speaks publically, not least of which was at the RIFC plc AGM in December. Furthermore, as King is already the executive chairman of a company listed in South Africa, for whom LSE have reciprocal listing arrangements, this is very much a moot point, and one which is designed to sling mud and attempt to delay the EGM.
  2. In simple terms, due to the way both of the companies are set up, there is no way they will be able to merge. Not without some lengthy changes to their constitutions. The differences are technical, but thats the basis of it. But at the end of the day, in the short to medium term, both are focused on raising funds for share acquisition, so ultimately have the same aim. Its not until this is achieved that the differences will matter.
  3. Its hard to get overly excited about the lad leaving, but the few games he did play at the start of last season, he looked much better than Foster has at any point. We would have been better giving him a run for the best part of a season to see if he can cut it, and at least make letting him go an informed decision.
  4. Its a no-brainer from the Board given the ongoing dip in our own attendances.
  5. It'll get batted away, I'm sure, with no real action taken. Hopefully it hampers his ability to get future roles though.
  6. Who is it that Easedale holds proxy for...? bph - 5.4% margarita - 3.2% who else, as its around 21% is it not?
  7. Ashley's power base has been destabilised. He has/had power because the likes of Somers is a "wet fish" and the easdales are puppets. He won't be able to threaten and bully the likes of Park and Letham, which in turn threatens the SD deal. there are rumours of other bears in talks to buy out other institutional shareholders. Which bodes well when the share issue happens as Ashley will only be able to take up the additional shares to maintain is 8% or so, or up to a max of 10%. also, given that the share issue has been approved by a majority of shareholders at the AGM.... I'm not sure how you conclude it won't go ahead. Although I would concede that we should brace ourselves for a response from Ashley. He's a shark and wI'll retaliate in some way. That's about the only thing I can agree with McMurdo about.
  8. Thanks. Have posted to the correct thread too, think. Zappa will correct me if I'm wrong, I'm sure.
  9. He's entitled to his opinion just as much as we are entitled to think he's a hypocritical wank. Best ignored, methinks
  10. Presume Ashley is getting some security for this £10m.... Ibrox should cover it
  11. Now now gents, it's nearly Christmas...
  12. I wonder what Deloitte think of all this. Given the current rate of cash burn, £2m short term finance that needs to be repaid at a time when our cashflow will be at its lowest point, does not make for a going concern. Talk of a share issue is all well and good but when you've only just failed to persuade existing shareholders to take up a £4m issue, why would we necessarily sell out a £10m one, regardless if its available to anyone and everyone. OK, Ashley may well underwrite the share issue, but are we under any illusions that this will happen over night? Meanwhile we limp on.
  13. Couldn't have put it any better.
  14. I for one haven't been to Ibrox this season and have no intention of doing so for the forseeable future. Nor will I be buying any club merchandise.
  15. Also, charlottes various musings have been confirmed as valid evidence in one of the various actions being brought against wee Craigy. The ticketus one, if memory serves me.
  16. Charlotte always played out like he/she was trying to be a good samaritan who was blowing the whistle on the various actors in the rangers saga over the past 2-3 years. However, there is a world of difference between blowing the whistle and alleged extortion.
  17. That's possible, but there are issues with Ashley holding more than 10%, not that this will stop him.
  18. It's bizarre that Laxey are the largest shareholder yet Ashley holds all the aces. Why would Laxey allow this to take place?
  19. Never trusted anything Laxey said from the moment we found out they were involved. They stitched us up last year pre-AGM too.
  20. We don't really do coincidence, so I'm certain something is going on here. And I wouldn't be at all surprised if its something to do with Green, Ahmad or Ashley.
