Steven Davis has played 57 times (for club and country) this season. What a hero. That is all.9 points

Ra Hoops trudge off the hallowed turf a well beaten outfit. A fitting OF swansong for Lego and The Bravest Man in Football reverts to type and blames the referee for his side’s woes. Couldn’t happen to a more deserving bunch. We toyed with them at times and had a gear or two to slide into. Their rebuild job is sizeable to say the least, as you could argue that they need practically a whole team of new players. If Stevie, Ross and the board get it right in the summer, there is a great opportunity to put some daylight between us and them. Enjoy the rest of your day brothers and sisters, I know I will.7 points

Great performance. Great result. All about getting us ready for next season now. Players will come in, players will go out. However I’ve every confidence in our DoF & manager to improve us again next season when we’ll have CLQ’s to look forward to. Took time to get us where we are today and our opponents today will soon realise that rebuilding a club structure and a team takes time & isn’t a given. Heres to the champions & to the new season ahead... ? ?4 points

Later in the week, I will do a more substantial post on today's broadcast utterances from PQ. Suffice to say, Liam McLeod commentating from a screen in a PQ office made a complete ham shank of the game. It took him several minutes to realise McGregor had been red carded. He explained that he was NOT in the Stadium and thus could not be responsible for missing the dismissal. His accompanying Posse of fellow Dandies and Yahoos missed it too, because they all had their heads in their hands. Of course, the priority was filling car spaces for the drive to Erskine Bridge, all understandable. Anyways, at half time, we were no longer playing ra Sellik. Liam gave the half time report and score as, "Rangers two, ten man Celtic one". This continued throughout the second half. The empirical evidence suggests Liam is a thirty 'ten man Celtic' a day man. Oh and Liam thought 'ten man Celtic' were deserving of more goals? I wonder if Liam's commentary will survive on to tonight's Sportscene?3 points

He’s left it late to have the season of his life for club and country. I know it’s an old fashioned notion but Steven Davis is what every Rangers player should aspire to be.3 points

Kent is like nothing Scottish football has seen since the 60s. Different level and superb today.3 points

A fine team performance with several excellent individual displays. I thought Davis was imperious, Tav was very good, whilst Roofe and Morelos ensured we caused them problems. But Kent was MotM surely? What a player we have there. Incredible!2 points

Please can you keep the petty politics for the Lounge for those that are interested.2 points

Spot on mate. I, like every other Rangers fan, was gutted getting knocked out of the cup, but today certainly eased that pain. We have had a tremendous season all in, have dominated the league and pissed all over the BEASTS, humiliated them all season, and things are only going to get better from now on!. The desire from our club, manager & backroom staff to keep improving is going to make us even better/stronger for a long time, regardless of what any other team does. It is a good time to be a Rangers fan with a lot more to come.2 points

Delighted with that. OK, Celtic had their chances again but we played so well at times in that game and the work-rate from players who really should be having a rest (Davis, Barisic and Kamara) really was top, top class. Yes, you can say we maybe should have scored more but we had no way to refresh the midfield and we were right to contain them. A fine result and a great season. Enjoy yer day, bears!2 points

No room for complacency here. This ref has more cards in him.2 points

I don't care for the 'player X couldn't get a game for Y club, so he's not good enough for us' argument. We discussed this at the time, but Bournemouth had a settled side for several years and played in the PL. It's not really a surprise that he couldn't get a game. What's interesting is that Eddie Howe wanted to keep the lad around when they were in the PL. I think he's looked quite good in the little I've seen. He looks composed on the ball and has a turn of pace, which is what we need.2 points

Simpson played no worse and at least as well as every other CB at the club today after 3 or 4 appearances. There is absolutely no basis on which to regard him negatively. None. There again, all the rest received the same dubious wisdom at the start of their Rangers career so maybe it's just a necessary rite of passage.1 point

No, not for you - just a general observation...1 point

Thought he did well today. Very harshly booked early on which probably didn't help1 point

Rangers Chat only please. Plenty of space over the Bluenose Lounge for this. We've just hammered the Tims 4-1 and have opened up a 23 pt lead in the league. You would think that would be the focus for all Rangers fans...1 point

God but we're hard to please. Simpson played well today, it would be churlish to say otherwise. We need to stop the negativity about this player.1 point

Simply superb , didn’t need to get out of 2nd gear .1 point

A very poor first 5-10mins but after that we looked very dangerous and only some poor finishing/decision-making cost us an earlier opener. However, our pressure paid off with the Roofe goal and a deserved red card for McGregor. Problem is, we suddenly look suspect at set-pieces and Simpson was bullied out of a challenge at the back post for a Celtic equaliser. Fortunately we kept at it and what a strike from Alfie. However, we're too open at times and Ajer is being allowed to stride forward at will. We need to switch on a bit more often, look after the ball a bit better when we have it and be physically stronger in and around any 50/50s. Do that and we'll win but we must apply ourselves for the whole 90mins.1 point

In terms of the team, we might be short in defence and midfield but that's still a strong side so if we play to our strengths and with quality we can come out on top. We really must look to get at that Celtic back-line and take the game to them. Come on the teddies!1 point

Rangers 0 Separate Entity 2 Odd reasoning afoot, but here's my thinking, 100 years ago, season 1920/21 we won the league with ease, lost only 1 game the whole campaign, 0-2 v them at Ibrox. Since I stumbled across this stat I have been troubled that history could repeat a century later. So, by hereby predicting the repetition I have jinxed the probability of it occurring.1 point

What a strike by Aguero it was. I think he is tailor made for Barca next season if Messi stays. Man City fans are living in a terrific era right now that they are seeing their clubs best ever spell and dont need to compare generations. They can have have the debate about their best ever player. Silva and Kompany were class but Aguero will go down as their all time best IMO. He will win all five Premier Titles in the past ten years. Quick comment on Everton - everytime they have had a chance to get ahead of Liverpool they bottle it. Ancelotti has got some work to do in the summer.1 point

Normally OG games are occasions for great anxiety. I'm not feeling that now, not out of any sense of over-confidence but just because there isn't really anything at stake. The important issue was decided weeks ago. I would still hate to lose though as Celtic fans would act like they'd done their precious 10.1 point
