Aye, so just chuck it then? Never want Rangers to lose a game full stop.4 points

Whilst it's incumbent that we keep an eye on the Boardroom I'm reluctant to compare what we have now to the Murray regime. For starters they're playing with their own money not the banks, there is no one with an overwhelming dominating shareholding, they are in the main Rangers fans and contrary to what people think they actually get it. They won't take us down the same road as Murray and we should at least thank them for that. I was way to late to start questioning Murray, it took the spunking of £12m (of someone else's money naturally) before I realised it was only going to end one way. I totally get where you're coming from and don't dispute that concern is genuinely held. I myself have felt the wrath of the masses for not running with the herd, it can put you in a lonely place.3 points

One of the things I hate about being an older football fan. Is that experience tells you what game is the one where the league died. Today was that day. This team has collapsed out of it's own arse. I've got better things to do with my time than dissect the multiple reasons why millionaires are pretending to have forgotten how to do their job. Until next season troops. Take care.3 points

Two summers ago was the time to start refreshing the squad.3 points

Because we've failed to invest in the squad. Done it with SG and done same with GIo - issues from top to bottom of our club and replacing manger won't solve these issues.3 points

Tillman putting in a lot more effort than most so far today. Anyone still labouring under the illusion the manager still carries the dressing room?3 points

He isn't. Not having a good game (nobody is) but he is not bone idle.3 points

The lack of any urgency whatsoever to get players and the ball in the opponents box is shocking, and typical. The narrative during the week that the problem is Ross Wilson and not GVB just doesn’t fly, the tactics are dreadful.3 points

Another puzzling selection. 4 centre midfielders, two who are more comfortable as defensive midfielders. Night and day to Celtic approach in games like this.3 points

Would like to see us shuffle the pack and try a 4-4-2. It may be unfashionable but the current set up looks stale in my opinion. 4-4-2 with full backs providing width plus middle diamond. Kent playing deeper as an inside left with the box in front of him as opposed to being stuck on the wing. -------King------Davies------ Tav---------------------Borna -----------Lundstram--------- -----Tillman----------Kent---- --------------Arfield---------- ---------Roofe-----Colak-----3 points

Gerrard brought leadership and at our club playing the domestic game, that was fundamental. Beale, by himself, would have crashed and burned. Beale with successful experience as a number one, maybe. But as Scott mentioned, if successful he'll have more options. Steven Gerrard was the right man when he arrived at Ibrox but as always happens, for one reason or another circumstances change, it ends. The plus being we got a substantial lump sum from Villa, rather than the customary bank transfer going the other way.3 points

I get what you're saying I really do. However I view the current Board as just another stage of our recovery I don't view them as permanent fixtures, they like players should be viewed as organic constantly changing in a sort of evolution rather an endless revolutions. Obviously the pandemic and it's consequences drastically altered what would have been the Boards plans (I concede the same applies to all clubs). I think part of the current anti Board sentiment can be laid at their own door as it was never fully explained just how big a mess the club was in every single department something that goes back to the days of our old friend Murray. That's not an excuse for the current Boards shortcomings however I think we can all agree compared to their predecessors they're relatively minor and certainly don't threaten the clubs very existance like the 3 previous regimes. I'm inclined to lean towards better the devil you know for now, change will come in the Boardroom it's foolish to argue otherwise but surely we need to make sure the baton is passed on to the right people as we all know the consequences of what can unfold. I share the same frustrations as everyone else at our regression under GvB which is undoubtedly rolling towards the inevitable conclussion. What I don't share is the clamour for return of King the notion of him wanting to invest more in Rangers is hilarious or the belief that there's a sugar daddy willing to pump £m's into a Scottish club or even that some consortium of investors led by Ms Fox will lead us to glory. I suspect you feel pretty much the same. I honestly think that the covid crap not occured the Boardroom would indeed have a different complexion that it currently has but by the same token I'm grateful that they didn't all bugger off and try and get their money back and even of them stayed and dug deep just yo kerp us going. I'm certain your wish for change will be fulfilled at what rate that change will arrive I honestly don't have a clue but it will.2 points

Part of Ross Wilson’s remit is continuity. That includes playing style between managers so that any inheritance in terms of playing squad should be as seamless as possible (in theory). what seems to have happened here is the same issues Gerrard had (the horsehoe, slow tempo, isolated front man) have persisted.2 points

I have no more knowledge than you or any other Rangers fan. I can only use the (little) information the board release to us. There were a glut of interviews a few weeks ago where they unformed us that we didn't have millions in the bank (the day after UEFA had deposited circa £14M) into our bank account. We'll know sooner rather than later if we do have spare cash to throw around once the accounts are published. In my view, we are either using all the money we have to make the ballance sheet look attractive for a sale / takeover, or we are well and truly skint. Worrying either way.2 points

So with little knowledge of the clubs financially position you want the board to sack Gio and or Wilson, and bring in replacements? What with? Magic beans?2 points
-
Spot on, we have very little knowledge of the clubs financial situation and it's not our job to think of a solution. However a solution must be found before we set ourselves back 5 years. Wilson needs to find such a solution as that's his job and the board's job to approve it. And it's also the boards job to sack Wilson if he isn't doing his job. Now go get in done.2 points

You're asking way too much from people. No one knows all the details, it's not our job to bring someone in, that's the job of a successful board.2 points

Pointless - has to be someone better and that means compensation for Gio and his staff and new manager (wholl also want funds to bring in his own staff and players). Can't magic the necessary finances out of thin air.2 points
-
But until an affordable and better option comes along, what do we do? Get on the phone to Murty? The question of how we can afford to oust and then replace Gio is real and as yet, unanswered2 points

I think the manager wanted the option to move a central defender up into midfield.2 points

Playing at home against teams that park the bus with a back4 and a holding MF player with one up front thro’ the middle with little service no longer works.2 points

The Celtic implosion of a couple of years ago started in mid October but Lennon was kept in post for months more, providing us with entertainment. Now we look going down the same route. We can be different in how we react and change the manager early or we can twiddle our thumbs and suffer ever worse.2 points

The only tactic I see is the Barisic overlap, and they’re reading that one every time now.2 points

76% possession, yet they've had more attempts (2 vs 5) and shots on target (0 vs 1).2 points

And why do we never make changes when we are clearly going nowhere? This is awful, as predicted.2 points

Oh look, Plan A, Pt. 2,376. A team of workers and grafters and one striker against a brick-wall. That will be a fascinating watch again.2 points

Just seen today's team selection. Bloody GvB, he never listens. The bench looks more like the team we need than the team does. Another day of Tavernier, Barisic, Lundstram, and Kent ... all players whose current form suggests they should be nowhere near the starting eleven.2 points

Rangers needs investment if it is to achieve financial stability and reach the effective end of its recovery phase. That much is abundantly clear. It's also beyond doubt that 13 years is long enough to know that the investment the club needs is not coming from a massively-wealthy supporter from Govan. Any investment at the level we need is going to come from elsewhere and almost certainly from private equity organisations of one form or another. So here's the deal as I see it. Either accept the status quo and stop whining about the lack of progress ... or open your minds to investment and probable change of controlling ownership from outside the realm of Scottish football. Sure, we're all spooked by the experience of 2012 but I believe what we have today is the best it's going to be unless the club takes financial steps to fuel further improvement. There's clearly risk either way because the current shareholders may not wish to bear this burden forever.2 points

To be a sustainable club is where over 90% of the fans woud have prioritised 10 years ago. The cost of not doing that stared us in the face. They should remember those priorities, because to look for or be happy with people who promise the world, will invaribly end in tears. We have repeatedly fell down the same hole and it wouldn't surprise me if we did it again. Within the sustainable model, the only way I see us rising above a potential cieling that would bring needs three things to happen. - an excellent manager - an excellent batch of youngsters coming through - good recruitment with the scarce resources available To gamble our future on an outside bet that is being placed by Charles Ponzi isn't a good idea.1 point

‘They put their money in’ is what people will say. That they did. I will forever be thankful that they did. However since then it’s clear the usual falling out and egos have got in the way and it’s been to the detriment of our club. Does that mean they are above criticism? Looks like it. Do you or I have the means to buy them out? Probably not. So that usually results in a ‘get back in your box’.1 point

Back in the day, I got way to involved in all things Rangers. From writing in a fanzine, going home and away (domestically and Europe) and this lead to me starting to take an interest on off-field matters. The day I (and others) were spat on, verbally abused and chased from the main entrance for daring to protest against Sir Duped, was the 2nd worst day in my Rangers supporting life. The worst was a day later when Sir Duped pubically praised those who chased the protesters. Thankfully, I then had my kids and my priorities changed. I still cared passionately about Rangers, but I let all the other stuff slide. However, over last year or so, I've been keeping an eye on the current board, and have to say I'm as worried now as I was when Sir Duped was in charge. I was correct all those years ago, I just hope I'm wrong this time. In all honesty, I don't have desire to challenge them (other than on this forum) and fear nobody will.1 point

Another utterly predictable performance - salvaged a point but simply not good enough. Questionable starting 11, Questionable subs but predictable outcome. Hey ho, the trials and tribulations of being a Rangers supporter.1 point
