Wonder what the odds are for zero goals and zero points for Scotland are? might just be worth a punt!.3 points

He was a Hibby whilst playing for Hibs 😁. There was an article in the East Lothian Courier a while back about when he went back to his school, Musselburgh Grammar, he seen a photo on the wall of him in a BEAST top and he made them replace it with a photo of him in a Rangers strip!.. Also he has said a while back his auld man Jocky was a Rangers fan and so was he!.2 points

No! Kenny Miller was/is a Rangers fan!.2 points

No, Kenny Miller was a Hibs fan. I'd take a Kenny Miller right about now if there's one kicking about.2 points

A big one for me as a kid was Calzaghe actually. Brilliant boxer who came back twice as hard when his arse touched the canvas.2 points

Yes. I like him, but I don't think he fits with what Clement wants.2 points

A left footed player would be a welcome addition to the defence. I suspect that he might be a bit too one footed though.2 points

Right now, I don't really want any more project players. Chaps who need half a season to get going before getting injured. Even though the season eventually fell by the wayside, the band we had here last season still pushed the Scum much closer and injuries and "luck" aside, we might have grabbed a Treble. So the basis was there, we need to make it more solid.2 points

Sure I read somewhere he was a hibby - must have been mistaken (not for the 1st time 😀1 point

KM played for Hibs, transferred to Rangers, scored five in a game against St Mirren, went to Wolves then to some minor clubs, redeemed his career by returning to Rangers, more minor clubs, a third go at Ibrox, down the leagues again and then stopped. Just the one blot on his copybook but a very serious one.1 point

He is from the dark side, so kick in the hee-haws would fit nicely!.1 point

Playing an attacking fullback at wingback is hardly unusual. He has actually played left wing for the Greek club he was playing for.1 point

Jefte is an attacking left back. Poveda is a winger just released by Leeds. I quite like him. We're not linked with him - neither with Riedewald - but I quite like them as players, and they've been released.1 point

Schalke were certainly, although I thought they'd stopped haemorrhaging money in the last couple of years. Despite another poor season I assumed they'd still have the finances for a 20 year old Bayern B team player, who they know well, if they wanted him. They might simply be too strapped to purchase him, or have other parts of their squad requiring more attention, I don't know. It's always worth remembering that I have no inside knowledge, I've never seen this lad play, indeed had never heard of him until reading this thread. Take my concerns with a large pinch of salt. We've had some great players who signed from relative obscurity and other well established players who signed and yet failed to deliver. Basically I know nothing, I'm just killing time between meetings!1 point

This matches the stats: quick, likes to take on his man, but doesn't contribute much in the buildup with very few passes. I quite like the profile. I think that we could teach/coach the buildup stuff.1 point

Orlando Pirates head coach Jose Riveiro says the decision on Relebohile Mofokeng's future will be left up to the 19-year-old midfielder amid links with Rangers. (Radio 2000's Game On) Penarol president Nacho Ruglio says the Uruguayan club have no need to sell Damian Garcia after the 20-year-old midfielder was linked with a switch to Rangers amid his contract dispute. (Montevideo Portal via Record) Rangers, St Pauli and Lecce are among the concrete suitors for Bayern Munich left-winger Yusuf Kabadayi after Schalke 04, where the 20-year-old was on loan, decided the the overall package for his return was too expensive. (Florian Plettenberg on X) Ianis Hagi all but confirms he is leaving Rangers as he sets his representatives the task of finding" the right team and the right manager". (Sun) From a Schalke-Fan re Yusuf Kabadayi ... Everything from wild to extremely strong. Certainly a player with pace, but was sometimes too playful for me and often not a factor in games. Improved towards the end of the season. The purchase option of 1 million was not exercised, and the player was dismissed, so definitely no return to S04.1 point

Specifically 4 goals, no assists and 'too expensive for the 3rd biggest club in Germany'.1 point

I'd like to stamp on his 50/50's just like Alfie did.1 point

Decent enough player and I'll always remember BD away and THAT goal to take us to Seville. Good luck where ever you end up JL and always welcome back at Ibrox IMO.1 point

He will end up at the dark side IMO.1 point

We have Berliner whose pedigree is Nigerian, had a Bavarian whose pedigree is US-American, and now we are in for another Bavarian whose pedigree is Turkish. Looks like Germany has transformed into Little Britain ... 😱 The chap played 24 games for Schalke (BL 2) last season, scoring 4 goals, no assists. Very much a project-player like Tillman, but truth be told, I never saw anything of him in moving pictures.1 point

Maybe, but at the same time if we are bringing in a bunch of guys from South America we need someone in the changing room to teach them the songs. Give them battle fever. We don't have that at the moment and I think we have since Gerrard walked out the door. I think having a proper club captain means more at Rangers than it does at other clubs.1 point

I served something like four years or so in the then West Germany and I was only present once during a Soviet defection. The two Red Army formations facing us were 3 Guards Army and 7th Shock Army, 18 Divisions plus support against our four in BAOR. One hot summers Sunday, a T64 MBT came careering out of the wood line, zigzagging across the wheat field. I requested weapons free permission and provided the RA with the appropriate x-ray grid. I was told to, "wait out". The distance from their wood line to ours was nearly 4K but, it crashed into the trees about 300 metres to our left and, the crew poured out. They were howling drunk. It took a couple of days but Intelligence got back saying they had been expecting something over the weekend but had no specifics thus, no warning order. Hence, no weapons free permission either. Apparently, the 7th Shock Army had received their quarterly black boot polish bulk allocation the day before. A troop of three tank crews had placed their blocks of boot polish on loafs in direct sunlight, the industrial alcohol percolated into the bread and, they consumed it. An hour later, three of them decided on the mazy run. The others were blind drunk, literally. I suspect I have just contravened the Official Secrets Act?1 point
