  1. If we're patient and develop him properly Barron could be what we've been missing since Davo retired. High praise I know. I thought he dictated the game in the first half. First thought forward, if not recycle. My motm.

  2. Wishing John Bennett a speedy recovery. A true bluenose and a good man who hasn't hesitated for a moment to plough multi-millions of his own money to keep the club going forward after the disaster that we were. I hope the club remains in the hands of like minded people. It'll take a bit of fan patience for the foreseeable future, but I think we are in good hand with John Gilligan, another of the good men who saved us when we needed saving. The club needs our backing more than ever right now. Now let's hope the team give the Dundee HIVs a doing tomorrow for John.

  3. He is the total opposite of lundstram does not swan about with the ball dragging our tempo down tries to add urgency to the attack and keeps it simple when no options appear, he is the one shining light this season apart from the match against them he is consistently performing. I like the look of the young recruits this summer Jefte and Igamane they are very raw though.

  6. Yes, and I don't disagree with that. However, at this time, and given the news about JB's health, I just wanted to wish the man well and be thankful that we had a chairman with the best interests of our club at heart and who put a lot of his money in to the club without hesitation. Whilst some of the decision making was mind boggling - not just down to Bennett, let's be honest, but we could have been a lot worse off and managed significantly more badly....just to keep it in perspective.

  7. Mind that time he didn’t want to play Propper as he was needing a chest of drawers from Ikea that weekend. Some boy big Phil.

  11. We look a lot more mobile when countering them with Hamza up top

  12. Igamane has just done more forward link up play in this game that Dessers has all season with that chance for Lawrence.

  13. We should resign McCoist even at 61 he’d still be better up front than anything we’ve got at present

  14. Cortes is a clever wee player. Great to see him back playing.

  15. OK, it's not fantastic but that was a lot better today in terms of attacking intent, tempo and organisation. We did try to be a bit too too clever at times at key moments in and around their box but that's through the kind of confidence we want to see. Let's kill them off!

  16. Why does he always delay his shot or cut back just leather it across the goal first time ffs

  17. Anyone surprised he didn’t start Bajrami? He never starts a player unless he can name all the tea ladies at Ibrox and auchenhowie for some reason. Celtic signed 2 players on the same day both have played twice for them and scored yesterday

  18. And let’s hope we cut out the stupid mistakes too today. Particularly giving the ball away needlessly

  19. Rangers often fills our lives with joy but can also bring disappointment. Those who lead our club understand that can yield criticism but that should be constructive and not personal. We shouldn't forget they love the club as much as you or I. All the best to John and his family.

  20. Financial matters are seriously concerning. I suspect there may be a takeover in the wings. If there isn't I am even more concerned but also concerned if there is. Better the devil you know? Choppy waters indeed. It is time for us to get behind the team in a big way.

  21. We started well and we were never really troubled. Back to Ibrox next week............. Hopefully defend our LC trophy, cut the gap a little especially to the sheep and punch above our weight as usual in Europe. Its not all doom n gloom

  23. Three points, good first half, mediocre second half. The old problem of converting chances hasn't changed. Igamane looks good, let him AND Dessers loose at the opposition and themtwo will have fun. The Don got card-happy late on, almost farcical.

  25. I know he has not done much but I like what I see in Hamza, he plays it simple battles for the ball tries to go at his man, I think more minutes under his belt he could turn in to a decent player, very raw though.

  34. Hopefully not like. Let's face it, fans are raging because there's...what, 2 unpopular choices? The manager said he'd see if Bajrami is ready for Sunday, he isn't ready for today in his view and fans are STILL seething.

  35. While I agree with most of what you've said about John Bennett I think we need fresh blood and money into the club. We have been in decline since Seville. At first I thought the start of the following season was a reaction to losing that final but there is a deeper malaise. Some of the decision making since then has contributed to where we are at. We are not a well run club. This has created a schism between the fans and the board that needs to be mended. I think there is too much baggage for current personnel to mend this.

  36. Dowell and Lawrence marauding through the midfield. United will be trembling in their dressing room. Won’t be surprised if they decide to stay there.

  37. Whatever XI start, they need to be 100% in application, concentration and effort (not just for 10 minutes). If they can do that and the basics, we'll win. At a time of uncertainty, we could do with seeing some unity and cohesion between players and coaching staff.

  39. Bheasts goalless at HT at home to Jambos. Brave young referee gives an early booking to a bheasts for a poor tackle, and then a penalty to Hearts when Shanklands header from a corner hits the outstretched arm of Scales. A full 2 minutes of McGregor in his face, touching his arms, gesticulating, and clearly trying to influence the referee. When VAR does their usual and says in his ear “you don’t want the hassle mate, have another look” then this behaviour pays off as the referee goes to the monitor which is located right in amongst the bheasts fans who are all screaming at him, sees exactly what he seen when he gave the penalty, and bottles it and overturns the decision. I don’t think it’s paranoia to think that if this was at Ibrox, the penalty would stand because we would not spend that time trying to put doubt in the referees mind, and VAR may not see enough to suggest a review.
