Well, it was one hell of a run while it lasted, I've enjoyed nearly every single minute of it and its really weird to think that the last time I was at Ibrox was over a year ago for the Leverkusen game. I thought we could beat Slavia after seeing them last week, but we just weren't at the races last night. Slavia were beatable, but definitely a step-up in quality from other teams - they were fast and not wasteful with the ball. Their tactical fouling to beak up play was masterfully done, but we did suffer from having a weak referee again. Team wise the game passed Arfield by but I can see why Gerrard started him based on last week. I'm just surprised a change wasn't made earlier and also that Balogun came out for the second half as we got away with one in the first half. I thought Patterson played really well, he does look like he has a great future with us. Just a frustrating night all round I guess and it maybe shows that with CL qualifiers next year we do need to upgrade on a few players. The Kamara incident left a really sour taste though - like others have said, what's the point of all the campaigns to raise awareness of racism in sport if things like this just get brushed under the carpet? I see Slavia have said the phrase was "you fucking guy" or something along those lines which seems incredible. I don't know if I should say this or not, but I loved seeing how Goldson reacted to being told what was said last night and I wish he had flattened the sneaky wee f*cker. Not just based on that incident, but the team spirit and "togetherness" amongst the squad seems to be at a level I can't remember seeing at Ibrox for a very, very long time.

Rangers have denied anyone was hurt in the tunnel and Police Scotland say they weren't contacted. Slavia are liars and Rangers - backed by the SFA - should be extremely vocal in saying so.

Kamara was asked by the manager if he (and the team) wanted to leave the field and he refused - later admitting he wasn't thinking straight. It's very easy to say he/we should have done this, that or the other but the lad is the consummate professional so all he probably thought was getting his job done, no matter the provocation he faced. What is most important now is that we all support him through what must have been a depressing 12 hours for one of our best players.

I think that one of the best ways to show support would be for some to stop nit picking about the players taking the knee.

Not in Europe but of course racists like Kudela are taking the knee every Saturday. It doesn't bother me in the slightest, I just don't think taking the knee should be a permanent fixture in football.

Helander had a tight groin, that's why he didn't play.

In Gerrard's interview last night this bit got me. "How is Glen Kamara now?" "In the worst possible way you can be. Visibly upset. I've known this player for two and a half years and I've never seen him like this". It's very easy not to appreciate the actual impact it has on victims. It's horrendous that they have to through this playing at the top level of football.

If some of the connotations aren't positive would it not be better to find a way of showing support for the main message that doesn't have these connotations? How difficult is it to show an anti-racism message that's not linked to BLM? It seems crazy to me that there's all these people out there wanting to promote an anti-racism message but there's virtually nobody who wants to have an informed and mature discussion on the subject, and whether it can or should be done without referencing BLM.

Correct. I really don't know why people get het up about it. Like I say, I understand some of the connotations aren't positive but the main message remains important as we seen last night.

Yes they deserved the win and were the better team over the two legs because they got the goals. I just don’t think they are a better team. It was a proper 50-50 tie, the two teams largely cancelled each other out and it was decided by low probability goals. They reminded me a lot of us. They were very physical and very fit, they were shutting down the channels and tackling well and reducing us to long shots. We still had opportunities which we should have done better with though and on another night the result would have been different.

People may disagree with how this is done and some of the organisations that are involved but last night showed how important it is for us to highlight racism where possible and continue to show solidarity with those that suffer from it. Thought with Glen Kamara.

It was a strange tie. Ultimately, they were better, but I don't get the feeling we were outplayed, technically. Tactically, we didn't have enough solutions for their press. I have no doubt the coaching staff will be working on that, for they are pretty good at tweaking us and finding new solutions to problems. Slavia almost did what we we do - defend well, press aggressively, and nick goals. And, as has been said, they were much more streetwise than us. I had this complaint when we played Benfica, in the 3-3 game. If we had been a bit more 'dirty' or aware or streetwise we would've won that game. The red cards stopped any chance we had, but I am a little disappointed. But, I'm still extremely proud of this team's achievements in Europe. We've been incredible. The racist remark has soured the whole thing, though.

Its about time we handed this lot a good thumping and Sunday would be a nice way of banishing the blues of last night .

If the abuse of Glen Kamara and Kemar Roofe shows anything, it's the pointlessness of pretending that a kneeling gesture will somehow buffer black players from racial abuse, or that those who perform the ritual will never abuse others. The problem isn't caused by not taking a knee, any more than it's solved by kneeling. The problem is a serious one but entirely disengaged from BLM-inspired rituals. There's a danger that knee-taking and other social signalling only provides a shield of false virtue for actual racists to hide behind. Kneel or don't kneel but don't pretend it has any positive effect on those who perpetrated racism before kneeling started and, the evidence shows, will certainly not now be dissuaded by the ritual of footballers taking a knee

Again IMO he has every right to go for that ball, he could have scored if the keeper never got there or stayed back. These things happen quickly in games and once your mind is made up if you pull out then you can get injured. It was unfortunate what happened but he had every right to go for it.

They just keep digging. Appalling club.

FWIW, I don't want to be condescending or patronising to people but I would hope that everyone takes the time to watch the Goldson presser from today to see where I'm coming from with my earlier comment. I'm also not saying racism is unique to black people or any other ethnic group but, with direct reference to my own experience, I don't think I've been in the same kind of situation or subject to the same raw emotion as he and Kamara experienced last night and clearly still feeling today. It does make you stop and think.

Maybe if you posted about the football now and again on here as opposed to just the political side of it you'd be less sensitive.

I think he was saying that the team should have walked off the pitch, and it wasn't aimed at Kamara himself. That's certainly the way I took it.

FWIW, it's very easy to like this statement on here and think no more about it. Instead, think about your own behaviour. Think about your own mistakes. Think about how you can improve. Think about how you can help others. Condemn & educate: ignorance is not an excuse.

In 1972 we were banned for two years by Eufa for events beyond our control. Slavia have total responsibility for the conduct of their players and they must be urged to take action against Kudeli. BTW I'm not suggesting Slavia be banned and us advancing in the competition; we were fairly beaten.

It's all about opinions, as a striker he should go for the ball in the box as he could've lobbed it over the outcoming keeper if he got there before, I would be having a go at him for not going for it but that's just my opinion. It wasn't stupid just a misjudgement.

IMO it is a bit crazy and stupid, the injuries to their keeper show why these rules need to be considered by players. It wasn't intentional, but it wasn't intentional in the same way a speeding driver doesn't aim to run someone over. Every rangers fan was up in arms when Power did the same. Anyway, it's open and closed case so not much to discuss, but it was certainly naive.

It's well worth noting the work ethic of the team actually. Plenty criticism of the lack of quality and cohesion last night but for 99mins, the players, despite going down to 9 men, worked their arses off and whilst that will never be enough on it's own, that attitude does bode well for when we do improve the squad further.

If I can't vote for Kemar Roofe then I won't vote at all.

Slavia should receive a separate punishment from UEFA for their disgraceful handling of this whole episode. Knowing UEFA they are more likely to give us a fine for starting the second half 10 seconds late.

Roofe made a mistake going with his foot instead of his head - it was a misjudgement at full pelt and he had no idea of the 'keeper's position. It was an accident, a red card, but still an accident. Nothing crazy or stupid about it. PS: I hope the goalkeeper is OK as that was a horror wound.

He gets caught with the ball when he runs with it though. I just find he is far mor prone to errors than Helander and that showed last night, he was lucky not to concede a penalty after a mistake. I also just find his passing is a bit more unsure, it doesn’t help that he is right footed and playing on the left.

That’s for the season after next. Next season we have two qualifiers to get through.

Agree with that plus I didnt think there was need to put Hagi on the bench especially for Arfield who isn't fully match fit. But Stevie G is allowed a free pass for what he has done this season. Slavia are a decent team, you dont get to the last 8 of this competition they way they have if you aren't good. However Kudela has taking any shine off their team for that disgusting sneaky comment into Kamara, absolute cowardly filth. But its been another fantastic run from the team, its one defeat in the competition and we have had some tough opposition. It will only put us in good stead for the CL next season and its all but confirmed we will be in the group stages automatically. Still two aims - Go the league season unbeaten and nail the Scottish Cup - that would be a superb return.

I find it hard that some Rangers fans just can't admit this! It's no slight on our club, players or management team that we sometimes will face teams that are better than us and that will best us. It always has to be our players or management teams failings rather that the opposition just being better.

Hate to state the obvious but this was a type of game we needed a noisy crowd to help us. Bit like the Braga home game last year. Oh well. Let's move on and take all our frustrations out on that lot at the weekend

Read your post, you said we've downed tools - an astonishing claim after season we've had. Even if we don't win another game this season, it's been best season in many a year

Hard as it is at the moment, reflection shows we've had a fantastic season. Domestic domination, 55 secured in March, qualification for EL Group Stages, unbeaten in the EL group stages and last 16 of EL.

Certainly, prematch kneeling in the UK is unlikely to reduce racism in Czech football. Do they take the knee in Prague? Are players and fans in the Czech league routinely exposed to messages highlighting the harm casual racism can cause? If not (and I suspect they aren't) maybe they should be.

Like I say, I'd rather concentrate on the positives of the symbolism as opposed to the negative. Sensible debate is always welcome and I've said many times that taking the knee doesn't really work but, for now, as long as our players think it helpful, then we support it. I don't think that's too much to ask.

Proud of the way our manager is dealing with what likes a fairly obvious incident of racism. Players just don't react like that to run of the mill derogatory language. I'd imagine he's giving Slavia a chance to deal with it privately but they don't look too keen.
