Well done mate - a brilliant job of running it and a well deserved victory!4 points

Yas! Nothing but admiration for those players to rise to the occasion like that after what happened in Spain. Incredible desire and fitness. Wow!3 points

All you posters wanting him sold because of his injuries have played a blinder!3 points

The BBC Scotland TV coverage of the final so far is atrocious. Feeds cutting out, microphones not fitted properly, interviews cut short, strange, irrelevant aerial shots of empty approaches and, of course, no content with one of the clubs making up the contest. Embarrassing.3 points

Interesting... There are a few changes, yet it's still a bit meh.3 points

I'm not one for highlighting referees but some of the decisions today were beyond baffling. The one in the corner when Halliday took the feet away from Bassey was as clear a foul as you will see.2 points

Looking forward to all the BBC interviews with the Rangers manager & players!!!! 🤣2 points

It was instantly noticeable how positive he was. The others were doing a lot of passing the ball back whereas he was instantly making penetrating runs, taking guys on or just passing it forward!2 points

Can`t tell for sure, but I have never heard of any team or coach that has ever tried to win two cup finals without fielding a single striker (when having them at the ready). It will, if we lose this, be ranked a one of the most dreadful (if not most stupid) decisions of all time.2 points

By far the better side but we just don't have the quality in and around the box. PS: I'd ask a couple of posters to temper their style of posting. There's critical and there's OTT negativity.2 points

Tavernier looks knackered. He does play an awful lot of games. Hopefully Zukowski and Devine can take the pressure off next season.2 points

Haring should have been sent off for that tackle on Bassey2 points

I noticed in the game against Dundee Utd the other week he looked tired. I'd hoped the use of Devine in the last few games might have helped but it seems not.2 points
-
Indeed. He looked good last week two, from the showing so far (only saw the last 20 mins), he`s the best attacking threat we have. On the opposite site, Cochrane is one cheating sad little creep.2 points

Shocking front line, three strikers on the bench. As I said elsewhere, we need to cash in on Aribo, Kent and Kamara, so this trash will finally come to an end.2 points
-
I take it Aribo's playing the central forward role again? Not a bad line up but I'd like to have seen King and Lowry start. We really have to win today: to recover from Wednesday but more importantly, to start winning trophies regularly again.2 points
-
I'm the total opposite tbh. I'm buzzing about this game and I'm actually glad we have a match with a trophy at stake to help us get over Wednesday. Its time for us to win a cup!! C'mon Rangers!!2 points
-
We have to be realistic with the Champions League - the top level sides just have too much quality and squad depth but since SG turned up, we have proved we can hold our own against clubs like Porto, Dortmund, Crvena Zvezda and Benfica. Wednesday night was a disappointing end to a terrific run but we can now justifiably believe that's where we should be.2 points

I forgot I had this! These are the all-time GPL scores from the years I've been running it. Gold indicates the past winners. Some names from the past!1 point

Yasssssssssssssssss well done Rangers that's all - think my head is still in Seville!1 point

Exactly. Besides, all eyes should be on the HSV playoff coming up.1 point

What a day. Finding it hard to get pre-match Gersnet wisdom out of my head .... Ryan Jack is a crock and, like Lundstram before him, Scott Wright simply isn't good enough to play for Rangers. You know who you are.1 point

He’s our man now, CB. Played well enough for Hearts today.1 point

It's nice to get a trophy. I had forgotten what it felt like...1 point

Embarrassingly unadventurous from Hearts here. 2-0 down in extra time and they look happy to let us have the ball.1 point

Was a certain penalty, the refs in Scotland have to be the worst in world football1 point

Poor poor management from Gio. Ridiculous that we yet again wait for changes to be made.1 point

Roofe for Davis. Lundstram drops deeper and Aribo drops back into the hole.1 point

I'm really looking forward to this game now, even if it is overshadowed somewhat by the GPL...1 point

Sakala's time as a forward was part of a two at Oostende, or playing wide. He's not a striker that can play on his own, for me. I will never be convinced that he's a striker. You're not wrong that he's a forward, but I think he'd be replacing Kent or Diallo in our line-up today, not Aribo. He'd be best as an inside forward, alongside another inside forward and striker, IMO. Roofe is not fit enough to start. You have a point with Itten. Maybe he's just not favoured?1 point

You would want to see a reaction to Wednesday, and sure some change in tactics. IMHO, Roofe, Sakala, Arfield and Lowry should all start. They all will be gutted for their non-/little-bit-part-use in Seville and sure want to show the gaffer what they are made of. My gut feeling for Wednesday was not that good, for various reason (nothing physical, BTW 😝 ), but I would not be surprised if we horse Hearts by 4 or 5.1 point

I get the point you make but in the case of Ryan Jack, he has a contract and where would he pass a medical and be given a similar wage ? As far as I see it, if he is contributing positively, in say 50% of games, that is better value than paying him off. Come the end of his contract, there is obviously no extension. What bugs me is bringing players to the club who are heavily 'injury prone'. In the last window, we signed Souttar on a Bosman and Ramsey on loan. Ramsey has hardly contributed (I point the finger at our recruitment, not Ramsey). With Souttar, time will tell. But you can't reasonably expect or depend on him to stay fit for long periods and hence management of his ankles/hip will more likely follow. I'd expect better from what won't be a cheap recruitment set-up. They might argue that their hands have been tied by relatively small budgets and while that will obviously limit options, I don't think bringing in several players who have a bad injury record will ever give a net positive. For every Goldson, you get more who are out as much as they are in, eg. Roofe, Helander, A more general point is that after several poor transfer windows, our recruitment has to up it's game considerably this summer. You would imagine that Gio will be supported as he will need to begin a re-build. We need to get that right or a bumpy ride will follow.1 point

We have contracted a player (John Souttar) with 93 league starts in the same timeframe.1 point

The reliability issues around Roofe are a big issue for me. When fit, he was very good, but wasn't available when we really needed him. Will be sad if Morelos goes but then maybe we need a change here. Based on their domestic seasons we can easily upgrade Barisic and Kamara. We need to allow Aribo to play in his best position and see some more of that winter form he had. Half expect him to be sold though. I hope McGregor chooses to go out at the very top and not see out a decline. This may also enable a change to tactics and playing styles. Happy for a few to remain as squad players but we can surely upgrade Wright, Sakala, Itten etc. The youngsters look capable replacements. If Davis accepts reduced terms then happy for him to stay. He's an experienced, professional winner.1 point

I'm in complete agreement with your last point, but we're not getting him permanently. He's a terrific talent. He'll be a star in years to come. However, right this moment, I'm not sure he's that much better than what we have. And even then, why would we bring in a loan for a season? I don't get it.1 point
-
He's spent a third of the time on the bench. For Norwich. Even if he is better than Kamara/Davis/Lundstram/Aribo, which I doubt, I wouldn't bring in someone else's youngster for a season. That's a horrible move. If it's a permanent move, I'm all for it. But, that's highly unlikely. I did think the Ramsey move was a silly rumour, though...1 point
