Leave the rst of defence as it is and start with Foster. The option is to move Lee into central defence and move the booster to RB.

Dance with the devil, Frankie, and the music never masks the stench. Neither will any amount of 'let's be fair to the contributors' hide the squalid individual who's hoping to gather credibility by association with ventures like this one. You know it, I know it, the world should know it.

All the best Ricky Foster, be all you can be.

Jay DeMerit - good quality central defender that needs a job!

Good idea right enough. I'm just amazed to hear he doesn't have a team. -
Or for you to put me in context!:D

And this is copied from FF .... what a surprise ..... the RST's publicity wing. Can I have the honour of being the first to predict this will be yet another farcical RST production for all except those who will personally profit from it. and they will.

I've no doubt there was a large element of revenge in the actions of many and, however alcohol-fueled that sentiment may have been, there was no shortage of justification. The GMP arrived on the streets that evening prepared for and determined to see violence inflicted upon Rangers supporters. That they got a small dose in return causes me no displeasure whatsoever.
-
No mention of the overt police brutality many of us witnessed ... maybe that will be described later eh? I don't expect their courts to be any more honest than their police force. If any of the GMP thugs got a kicking , they can rest assured their colleagues earned it for them. I wouldn't excuse the behaviour of some of the people I rubbed shoulders with that day but the picture being painted is complete bollocks and totally divorced from the reality of the entire Manchester organisation - which was steeped in failure from every angle you care to choose.

It would be an easier choice if at least one of them had a modicum of talent. As it is, the only reasonable choice has to be ....... Neither.
-
The only meaningful way to deal with this is for ten thousand heavily armed bears to lay waste to Manchester city centre, creating multiple job opportunities at GMP in the process. The one thing wrong with the aftermath of the UEFA cup final was the number of police sadists who were still able to walk the next day.

Excellent post, 26th. -
Sorry for being so direct but you're talking utter bollocks. To pretend there would be no backlash against an Irish catholic joining Rangers is naive in the extreme. Like most Rangers fans I wouldn't bat an eyelid if he was a good enough player but I have no doubt whatsoever that there would be no end of good Irish catholics lining up to make his life a misery - especially those Irish catholics who have never actually laid eyes on Ireland.

I can't find a damned thing that I'd disagree with in your post. I just wondered whether you were pointing the finger directly at Walter Smith ... or do you also see him as a victim of higher villains?
-
What's your point? Are you criticising Walter's management of the team?
-
But not because of the reaction of Rangers fans, the real problem for him would come from his own bog-born kind.
-
You're spot on and even Walter seemed to acknowledge as much in his post-match comments - although he'd be better sorting it out than making public statements about it. Hopefully he's got a remedy in mind. What does concern me is that this team has been prone to these lapses over each of the last few seasons and certain players seem incapable of maintaining their own momentum. It suggests to me we lack the right kind of leadership within the squad. I believe we will need the best possible start to this season if we're to come out ahead next May. Feenian FC will pull together a run before too long and we look pretty threadbare for a long campaign if I'm honest.

Nice to hear Sky Sports refer to it today as a "humiliation for celtic". You can just imagine the complaints flooding in for having the temerity to be accurate. "Nae need fur that, man" -
Surely someone should pay the price for this :admin:

You're right, we can't possible continue to let people have the freedom to express themselves. After all, we know what's good for them ..... eh? I see he still hasn't had the decency to withdraw his remark though, so he must be one right enough.
-
In case your memory is going, let me remind you we DID take a doing. In the process, whatever credit is due for getting us us there, we gave ourselves little or no chance of winning that game. Our fourth and by far the least ambitious final.
-
I realize you're prone to posting shite Craig but even by your standards this is a cracker. Show me where I called Walter tactically inept .... that's right, I didn't
-
Manchester was the ultimate example of a manager refusing to acknowledge the opportunity in front of him. People can defend him all they like but I reckon Walter will regret his approach to that final for the rest of his days - he got it badly wrong, that's all. Everyone does at some point and Manchester was Walter's great missed opportunity. I wouldn't say Walter is tactically inept. He's just quite limited in certain circumstances and Europe has always looked a step too far for him. There's no shame in it, everyone has their boundaries.

Presumably we paid Flo salary and bonuses as well. There again Auchinhowie has operating costs too - but it has also appreciated in value over the period too. Not so straightforward after all. However, while Flo was a complete waste of money, Auchinhowie hasn't been and that's what matters.

I think you might be confusing finance with accounting and rumour with fact. Unfortunately you're not the only one.
