  1. Can't believe Ser BS hasn't come on to defend the Messiah.
  2. I supose there's no point sacking McGlennan. They'll just find another spalpeen to replace him.
  3. "2. Can we beat Hearts? Again, yes but it's unlikely" Bit of impertinent editing there, Boss. You're dead right about 'Well. Easiest of the lot by a mile.
  4. Hardie needs a decent run of games. He scores twice and idiots like me wonder if he's the next Jim Forrest. If he has a goalless spell the usual suspects (we know who they are, so no need to actually name SerBS or MB) will be complaining he's not good enough. I do think his style is more Forrest than McCoist - see, I'm at it again!
  5. 2,301 spectators according to Livescore. Must be a very long distance from Leith to Livingstone. Poor show by the First Greens.
  6. I hold no brief whatsoever for ICT, especially the C part of it but this is outrageous. The player's action was instinctive but capable of being construed as deliberate for the purpose of a penalty award. No argument there, except that the referee didn't see it so no penalty. Luck happens. Deliberate cheating? Nope, so best of luck to the player.
  7. Leaving Hearts according to BBC. Where will he go? What's that old song? "Oh Danny bhoy, The hoops, the hoops are calleeng ..."
  8. Looked rock solid on Sky News. The caley guy only used one hand for theirs, so fair enough. And 'Pool ejected by the Villa. Good weekend.
  9. Beaten in the SC by ICT - as usual. Denied a stonewall penalty. Shame.
  10. I wish Rousseau had seen these old-time players. He has the words to do them justice in the way most of us can't.
  11. We could have fielded but never did: Greig (metronome and destroying if required) Davis (master destroyer) Baxter (creative genius) The more aged among is will recall Hearts could have done the same with Cumming, McKay and Young operating in the three roles. Cumming could do the destroying as well and McKay wasn't short of metronomic or creative abilities. In fact that's a bloody scary midfield three if you don't wear maroon. Thank God the system hadn't been invented.
  12. What will be upheld? The decision or the appeal?
  13. Google images for Jock Shaw and there's Tiger in blue with a white collar. Nothing more needed so long as the socks are black and red.
  14. If they had done, we would all have been screaming to lay off, it's none of their business etc. etc. After the fact we were all screaming that they stood by and did nothing. Now with one or two notable exceptions we are screaming at them to rubber-stamp DK's appointment. My message to the SFA? Get on with it. DK tried to skip round some tax burden in RSA. We all know it. Rangers shareholders are content (most of them). The Court of Session is content. Let the guy get on the park.
  15. What's this? The US Masters. Augusta. Florida And the talk of the press tent is whether some low rank journo from a no rank newspaper can get an interview with the owner of a sub rank European soccer club? I expect Nicklaus and Tiger and the rest think of little else.
  16. 's naw. 's Hubz v Hertz an' ' 2 - 0.
  17. It's a culture thing, dB. Wigan is a rugby league town. The football, club was non-league until a few years ago. Good place for them in my humble opinion.
  18. The question is, does he have rights to specific designs and get-up, i.e. those existing at the date of the assignation or does he have right to whatever designs are to be the official badges in the future?
  19. I'd give him a shot at old fashioned inside left and if he can't manage that dispense with his services. He's got talent but he's careless and his fuse is very short.

    Jig

It's a damn fine piece of writing though, in my opinion, McCulloch's past merits are over-stated and his current standard of play is glossed over, which emphasises what a good job Rousseau has done as Jig's apologist/advocate. I look forward to the next one.
  21. Amo was a bighead, no doubt, but he was a pretty decent captain of Rangers. Nothing adverse off the park like boozing or fireworks, was there?
  22. Law, Wallace Miller for the opener but it could have been Baxter, Wilson, Brand. The second had a look of Ralphie about it too.
  23. Brown (Dundee/Spurs) Hamilton (Dundee) Caldow McKay (Hearts/Spurs) Ure (Dundee/Arsenal) Baxter Henderson White (Falkirk/Spurs) St John (Motherwell/L/pool) Law (Manchester Utd) Wilson When will we see their like again?
