Bluedell says he sets his standards higher than Gilligan, but you didn't answer the question.

I don't know the man but I find your posts very mysterious. What is it about the man that makes you say he is sub-standard for the Rangers board? Is he untrustworthy, abrasive, unsophisticated ... what? Perhaps you could explain.
  4. Looks like this was set up tonight ... https://www.facebook.com/rangersfansboard Rangers Fans Board 3 hrs · . UPDATE: The RFB requested information from Rangers CEO, Derek Llambias, as to the current situation as it relates to the potential of using Ibrox stadium as security on a loan from Mike Ashley's organization. Mr Llambias confirmed "at this moment in time there has not been a deal done with anyone with regard to loaning the club funds, we are in talks with a number of parties and hopefully an announcement will be made shortly with this effect to the Stock Exchange" The RFB, like the majority of the Rangers' support, are collectively very concerned with these latest developments and await further dialogue with Rangers Board on their stance. We will post more when we know more. Follow Follow Rangers Fans Board
  5. I agree with FS here. The RFB are all volunteers and as such they need a reasonable amount of time to confer as a group and issue a statement. I think it is unreasonable to expect them to be available 24/7. Maybe this function will have to be addressed to allow for a swifter reponse.
  6. If the board wishes to take such a loan with Ibrox or Auchenhowie as security, do they have to inform the shareholders before they accept such a loan? If so, can the shareholders block such a loan from being accepted?
  7. His job as a professional football player is to do everything he can to help his team win victories on the park. If he chooses to be interviewed for a press story then his job becomes one, in part, of filling the fans with anticipation and hope of a good result in the upcoming match. His job is not to suggest to the fans that they should in any way dread the upcoming fixture. He does intimate in the interview that he can NOT look forward to the match because the team is not playing well. If he feels that his team will be unlikely to do well in the fixture then he should say nothing. It's called assisting the management of the club in promoting the fixture. Oh, remind me again, who was the guy sent off the last time we played Hearts?
  8. If that's his attitude before the game even starts he should never wear a Rangers' shirt again.
  9. Ex-Bayern Munich boss Felix Magath buys stake in Rangers and eyes Technical Director role at Murray Park Jan 09, 2015 06:00 By Gary Ralston GERMAN footballing legend has held talks with one of the groups battling for control of Ibrox and hopes to be a key part in the revival of the club. 2014 Getty Images Former Fulham boss Felix Magath has bought a stake in Rangers Former Fulham boss Felix Magath has bought a stake in Rangers GERMAN football legend Felix Magath has bought one per cent of Rangers and outlined his vision for the footballing future of the cash-strapped club. Record Sport can reveal the former Bayern Munich boss has emerged as a major and serious player following talks over the last week with influential figures around Ibrox. Magath has spoken with one of the groups battling for control of the club - not American Robert Sarver - and, if all goes well, could become Technical Director at Murray Park by the summer. German sources last night confirmed Magath’s involvement but, amazingly, he did not let on about his shares purchase before sitting down for discussions with the Rangers group. Magath, most recently in charge at Fulham , has been watching the Rangers story unfold with some dismay over the last three years and decided to take a personal stake in the club towards the end of last year - city sources suggest it was around one per cent. He has long admired Rangers and believes they are a massive club who are ready to come good again, with the right guidance from the boardroom the training ground. He invested a chunk of his own wealth backing his belief that the only way for the club is up - and now he may be handed a chance to influence its future. Reuters Felix Magath bossed Bayern Munich for three years between 2004 and 2007 Felix Magath bossed Bayern Munich for three years between 2004 and 2007 It’s believed Magath impressed in talks as he outlined a vision that will completely restructure the club’s playing department from top to bottom. The 61-year-old has no desire to become first-team coach, but is ready to demand autonomy in putting in a structure from youth level upwards that will give the club the best chance of returning to the top, with a strong focus on developing talent. It will be based on the German model, with a focus on work ethic, technique and technical ability, underpinned by a proper European and worldwide scouting system. Magath believes he is the man to oversee it all, and reckons Murray Park is an ideal environment in which to develop younger, talented players after spending part of his pre-season training camp at the facility with Fulham last summer. Magath’s spell at Fulham may not have ended successfully but he has many admirers, not least in Germany where his way of guiding clubs was always successful, so long as coaches and his board went with his way of thinking From Hamburg to Nürnberg, to Bremen to Frankfurt he has won a reputation for stabilising and building successful structures and at Stuttgart he developed players such as Kevin Kuranyi, Philipp Lahm, Mario Gomez and Alex Hleb. He left Stuttgart for Bayern Munich and won the double twice in a row, but arguably his greatest achievement came seven years ago at Wolfsburg. They avoided relegation on the last day of the season in 2007, but the following year he took them to fifth and in 2009 won the title, earning the club a fortune in the process with the development of players such as Edin Dzeko, Zvjezdan Misimovic and Brazilian striker Grafite. He left the club the following season for Schalke 04 and his restructuring paid off immediately when they came second after finishing ninth the season before. He led them to the German cup final and the quarter-final of the Champions League but was still fired by the board in 2011 after a dispute over his methods. One German source said: “Felix does not care about names – he focuses only on performance and attitude, whether it is a star, an established player or a youngster. This is why he brought out so many young or unknown players.” Now he could be ready to weave his magic again as the Godfather of Govan in what would be one of the boldest and most audacious appointments in the history of the Scottish game. http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/ex-bayern-munich-boss-felix-magath-4945747
  10. Rangers investor Kieran Prior backs Three Bears and says 'Throw all the Sports Direct deals in the bin' http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/rangers-investor-kieran-prior-backs-4937812
  11. This is a poor decision. We have Gallagher coming back from being on loan. This trip would allow the lad a change of pace and allow him to play for his country. What is more important at that age?
  12. What makes you think that the "current good guys" are interested in progressing fan-ownership at this time? Do you not think that they may have other plans that may have higher priorities?
  13. Can the three-bears possibly forestall this move?

A Guid New Year tae yin an' a' !!!
  15. Lol, good one. I don't think he'll just give up either but if the SFA won't let him buy a bigger %age of shares it will be interesting to see how creative he can be to ward off this move.
  16. Proof of funds, and all members of the consortium known. No one can say these guys are only kicking the tyres. How does Ashley circumvent this offer without offering hard cash and not some loan deal?
  17. Perhaps, and I'm not saying that it is, but maybe those sections of the support that you have difficulty in fathoming feel that the boycotts called for by SoS have led to the club being so poor and is in such a state that these kind of deals can be easily proferred and justified by this board. Just a thought.
  18. My take on that is that although we perceive Ashley to have effective control at the moment, the SFA do not want to be seen to be sanctioning actual control for Ashley. How would Pete and big fat Rod live with themselves if they allowed Ashley to be in a position to assist Rangers going forward?
  19. Merry Xmas to all. I don't think I've heard a sweeter adult voice hitting the high notes. Maybe we should get her to lead us in TBB ...
  20. From his statement he says he takes pride in his position, and indeed is privileged to hold this position !!!!! http://www.londonstockexchange.com/exchange/news/market-news/market-news-detail/12192436.html " ... Last year I said that I was proud to be Chairman of Rangers. I will repeat that again today, because I genuinely believe it is a privilege to be in this position."
  21. Yourself excluded, of course?
  22. NO SURRENDER - what does that mean anymore? It's more like our support utter "Your wish is our command."
