  1. I've applied anyways Juffers so your sorted if I get one. Knowing my luck I'll get tickets but we wont make it though...
  2. Sporting will be difficult opponents so they shouldn't be under estimated. Great draw nonetheless.
  3. Excellent preview Mike but thats one hell of a depressing team for a domestic cup final. I realise it's purely down to the injury and suspension but I hope we play a 4-4-2 with Boyd + AN Other up front (McCulloch or JCD if fit).
  4. Agree with Calscot. The biggest problem we had last night was not having Cousin or Darcheville up front. The way we set up means that we had no out ball other than Novo who was marked by a 6ft 5" Mertesacker + another 6ft+ centre half. Consequently the ball was coming straight back at us all the time.
  5. If we lose all the points scored I can see some legal action being taken by some clubs. Unfortunately I cant see another solution that will suit everyone.
  6. I was saying a defeat on the night but a win for the tie before the game. Juffers was being a pessimistic and grumpy bar steward saying we were going out though.... :moon:
  7. Agree with all of the above. He needs to produce this for a number of seasons to be considered in the same breath as Goram or Klos but the signs are that he has all the attributes so fair play to him.
  8. McGregor purely for that save. Fantastic reflexes and kept us in the game on so many occasions. Cuellar a very close second and perhaps a case for him being the joint MOTM.
  9. Excellent idea Craig! I'll start work on that now.
  10. True but to a multi-millionnaire you've got to imagine even that is pocket change...
  11. Not good signs. Basically they're fecked. I cant work out why old Brooks cant just hand over a cheque to the administrators to solve the problem. I've read the stories that he's screwed financially but I'm not buying that he cant spare a few quid to pay some wages etc.
  12. If it goes to penalties it would be all set up for Timmy Wiesse to redeem himself....
  13. Anyone watching the news conference? If so, please update...
  14. Yup, I'll be up for some of that. I'll try and think of some ideas for articles and give it a bash.
  15. Technically I would say the Spanish game is better but that does not mean it is the most attractive league to watch. The fact they have 4 teams in the final 8 of the CL speaks for itself though.
  16. Nah, dont like that on first look. It might grow on me but I would prefer to keep this years strip rather than take that one...
  17. Not according to Mrs Juffery! :fish:
  18. Paul Le Guen
  19. Yup. So if McCulloch is fit I can see him slotting in at left mid rather than up front. This again means that Boyd is the most likely striking option up front. I'm away to find the odds on a Boyd hat-trick....
  20. Carlos Quieroz when he was in charge of Real Madrid.
  21. Charlton was his level. So many managers who do well with limited resources seem to lose all sense of judgement as soon as they have a few quid to spend. Now, imagine if Colshy was correct - Curbs would have replaced McLeish instead of Paul Le Guen!
  22. Sad news. Get well soon Tommy!
  23. I would be annoyed if Buffel or Gow got to play. Why ignore them for the whole season, when you have had ample opportunity to give them game time, and then bring them in when you get a couple of injuries and suspensions. Dont get me wrong, I would back the players if they do play but Walter should have been playing them regularly to keep them sharp for exactly this kind of eventuality. I've said this most weeks too. We would not get a better opportunity for the rest of the season than against Gretna a couple of weeks ago. If Walter had given Gow and Buffel 30 mins each against them and perhaps the odd start here and there then I would have no problem with it.
  24. Beasley - Long Term Injury Naismith - Cup Tied Novo - Suspended McCulloch - Thigh strain Cousin - Injured Darcheville - Dounbtful (Hamstring Injury) By my reckoning that leaves Boyd up front with possibly Ferguson. Eek!
  25. No way! Gonna make my way along to Broadwood to see if he's still got it.
