  1. Yeah, well done to everyone in the TBO for the constant racket they made on Saturday. It was great not to be out sung by the away support for a change. All we need now is a section like this in every stand and Ibrox will be rocking again. :box:
  2. I'm not too excited about this potential signing. I'd much rather save the money and up our Naismith bid to £2m. This Cousin guy is about 30 and by all accounts short on confidence. Naismith is in his early 20's full of confidence and even if things don't work out we could still sell him on. Unless he's another Dado it's dead money :admin:
  3. Nice one! Shame about the spelling
  4. i thought that Bazza had a great game. Plenty of running and good distribution plus a great shot that lead to the sitter Boyd missed. Cuellar looked good but like others before him he was perhaps too cool at times and nearly got caught out.
  5. I have nothing against the player. The "Ha Ha" was directed at the mythical 'Ibrox injury jinx' rather than the player. It's normally one of our new signings that gets crocked before the start of the season. I just thought it was coincidence that he nearly signed for us then went to West Ham then got injured.
  6. Faubert was carried off with a serious leg injury. Ha Ha!!! Looks like the Ibrox injury jinx didn't hear he changed his mind at the last minute. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/w/west_ham_utd/6904015.stm
  7. I can't understand why people suddenly want WS to drop BF. After PLG left he was arguably our best and most consistent player last season. IMO he has nothing to prove and players such as Thomson and the new signings still have a lot to do before they can even be considered before BF
  8. I saw on the official site that he's will be joining the first team in Germany along with Andrew Shinnie. More good signs!
  9. definately wid. ooofft
  10. I watched that USA u20 match last night and they were outstanding. I'd take that Freddy Adu. You'd like to think that we have scouts out there watching these games.
  11. Based on the second half of last season we were not that far behind. The damage was done before christmas. If we can maintain the post christmas form into the start of the new season we will definately be up there. Smith appears to have the ability to get more from average players and next season will be more about playing as a team rather than individuals. Having said that I have a feeling that we will be more impressed with the likes of Gow, Beasley and Thomson than we've given them credit for so far.
  12. We may not necessarily need an out and out right winger. We have plenty through the middle and on the left so we have the option to either play Hutton as a wing-back or even continue to play Novo out there. We still have the option of Burke and Buffel and it doesn't look like Sionko is going anywhere. Also if we get Naismith he can play in this position aswell.
  13. He scored a peach of an overhead kick against England in the u21 euro champs. According to the Daily Mail he could be available for less than a million.
  14. I think he looks a bit like Michael Ballack in this picture.

    hands up

It's a no from me if the £2m figure is correct. I don't believe he is worth anywhere near that and I would much rather we upped our Naismith bid than squander on another left sided player we don't really need now that we have Beasley.
  16. I think that Namouchi was actually a French national he just chose to play for Tunisia because of his parents. (and because he would have no chance of getting a cap for France)
  17. You'd like to think so but perhaps I should have said that because of our current transfer policy (i.e WS saying we can't afford to spend £4m on one player) he may be out of reach.
  18. Yes but at £4m or more it looks like he is out of our league (financially). It sounds like Naismith has his heart set on a move to the Gers aswell and he would only cost approx £1.5m.
  19. Totally agree with you Calscot. To coin a couple of old cliches 'if you pay peanuts you'll get monkeys' and 'speculate to accumulate' To hear today that an EPL club have made an opening offer for Naismith that is 3 times our second offer is quite disturbing.
  20. Correct Gisabeer "Political correctness gone mad". It's something that will be very difficult to police. For example there are certain songs that may be deemed to be offensive to one set of fans but not to another. It really depends on the interpretation of the person making the decision. Eventually this pc mentality will destroy what little atmosphere remains at Scottish football matches. Fans around the country will be too uncertain as to what is deemed to be offensive so ultimately they will choose not to sing at all.
  21. Never seen this site before. It's quite good. I've been working through the download section.
  22. The silly season has officially started. I glanced at a colleagues Daily Record this morning only to see a backpage "exclusive". Apparantly WS is to break the bank and the club wage structure to secure the sigining of Bayern Munichs' Claudio Pizzaro. I'll believe it when I see it!
  23. And the Hibs game at Ibrox before Christmas!!
  24. That was a good read. If only our current board had the same feelings towards the club.
