Am I being cynical or is McCullochs knee injury a timely one. Meaning he is out of sight and out of mind and unable to pass a medical? -
Did he play the full 90? Did he create either goal?

Didn't see the Celtc game but I heard Loovens lacked pace and Cardiff defended very deeply to compensate this.

I mentioned him on FF yesterday and reckon he is right sided rather than left. Possibly similar to Davis but could play wide right better than Steven Davis who is more suited to a central role. Both Vayrynen and Culina have one year remaining on their contracts so shouldn't be priced out of a move to us unless the English clubs come calling. I have no doubt both would greatly improve our midfield options although how often would Culina be missing while on International duty with the Aussies?

Davis for me. I think his work rate, use of the ball and vision embarrassed Ferguson into putting in a shift and demanding the ball more often. Maybe a bit harsh but Davis played well in both halfs while, for me, Ferguson only produced the goods in the 2nd half. -
Ehiogu wasn't in the first team plans so I see no need to bring Dailly in anyway. Webster, Broadfoot and Hemdani can all play in central defence.

Didn't Smith categorically deny any move for Luke Moore stating that he was no better than current players and would not improve the first 11.

Interesting. I guess not many would be able to knock back �£33k per week. If Hutton does go then good luck to him but I can't help feel he will regret moving to Spurs. I will be very surprised if we sign Matty Taylor given the fee and wage involved. While he is a good player I would hope for a little more quality and creativity from �£3.5m+

Our player of the year 2006/07 was immense tonight. Has to be in the side more often domestically. Also thought McGregor had a great game and what a finish from Cousin!

Fyssas - No Thanks. Brellier is a decent player but we need more creative attacking options in midfield.

Upson will cost upwards of �£4m and isn't experienced enough to be captain material IMO. I'm not saying he wouldn't be a good signing but I doubt we can afford him. What we need is a Richard Gough / Colin Hendry type but they are few and far between.

Young Lee Robinson just signed a contract extension and could see himself as McGregors deputy. Having said that if we lose both Klos and Letizi in January then we should bring in someone else perhaps Steve Mandanda
