  1. I don't know what all the fuss is about. I think the Scotland team and it's consistent under-achievement is a perfect metaphor for the incompetence of the people running the game (into the ground). Tonight was simply the latest example of mission accomplished ... another triumph of failure and stupidity. Congratulations to all concerned.
  2. What then is a "valid" nomination? Like anyone else inducted into the HoF, Gascoigne was nominated by public vote. Are you invalidating those votes? Perhaps because they didn't reflect your own choices? It's amazing how many times the outcome of free public votes is overturned, disregarded or simply ignored. Gascoigne may or may not have been deserving of this so-called honour but to claim he wasn't a "valid" nomination has to be the most stupid and arrogant tosh I've seen in a while.
  3. The customer always has a choice
  4. Fair enough if someone thinks Gascogne wasn’t a good enough footballer to merit a place in Scotland’s HoF but to question his inclusion because of his family issues or his nationality is as good a reason as any for doing away with this nonsense altogether.
  5. I disagree. This particular section of the topic is entirely relevant.
  6. Just been watching Sunday's goals again. Alfie's goal just gets better every time you see it.
  7. What you should do is gather 15 like-minded donating fans who will agree to nominate whoever wants to stand.
  8. That he got job with Rangers was bad enough. That he then got a job with Sunderland was almost unbelievable. It wouldn't entirely surprise me if he emerged elsewhere, like a turd from a drainpipe. David Murray has an awful lot to answer for.
  9. Did you have to mention Martin Bain? Just being reminded of that useless bastard has ruined an otherwise decent day.
  10. Isn't it traditional to stage a coup this far into the life of a supporters' organisation? Or has this just come little sooner than expected? BTW this is an entirely flippant comment. I've really no idea whether Club1872 is in any way like the malign RST. ?
  11. Any "changes" were always going to be carefully stage-managed. Can't have it looking like the BBC is having a genuine change of face. That' said, it wouldn't be a massive surprise to see the likes of Cosgrove and Big Dick being moved on when contracts allow. The absurdity of continuing the current feud when Rangers are winning trophies must be permeating even those running things at PQ. It's essential that Rangers does nothing to remove the pressure.
  12. The likes of Kent and Ejaria will have a difficult decision to make if Rangers asks them to sign permanent contracts. Return to Liverpool and sit on the sidelines while trying to break into the first team ... or sign for Rangers with first team football almost guaranteed and establish a presence in the transfer market.
  13. The 2-0 win over Bayern Munich in '72 was the best atmosphere I ever experienced.
  14. Hoping for a goal glut from Ayr Utd today.
  15. I always assumed he was just one part of the Gribz / Buster multiple identity? ?
  16. It remains a mystery why Rangers fans are still feel compelled to complain about media reporting of our games. Their output is so predictably negative, so irrelevant that it's neither a surprise nor even slightly annoying any more. Basically, who cares. If someone asks me what I think the papers will be saying about our game last night, I'd have no problem predicting their nonsense but I'd never think of buying or reading their bullshit. They clearly write that stuff to entertain those who hate Rangers, not for me or you. I don't care, I turned my back on them long ago.
  17. It's nights like this I wish I still drank alcohol. I'm sitting here reflecting on an amazing evening and thinking about the long years of chaos and ridicule, not knowing if we'd ever see this club back on it's feet again. To paraphrase Churchill, I think we reached the end of the beginning tonight. I feel a huge weight has lifted over the last few months and we need to acknowledge the achievement of those running the club today. It looks like being a hell of a ride as this rocket takes off.
  18. I think this has got to the point where the silence from Ibrox has to be taken as proof that the entire affair has been stage-managed for our benefit. At least I hope that's the conclusion reached by the other three clubs.
  19. There's no end to the incompetence or embarrassment brought by those pretending to run football in Scotland. This is particularly cringeworthy.
  20. We've learned two things so far...... 1. The SPFL hasn't a clue how to run League or League Cup business 2. SPFL decisions are now being taken at Pacific Quay
  21. This is could be Dundee Utd's last chance. If they fail to gain promotion this season the they could be condemned to the Championship for the foreseeable future. The one good thing about the nightmare we've been through these last 7 years is the way it allows you really savour the exquisite pain of those who gloated over our misfortune.
  22. I'm sure the attention being heaped on Morelos isn't personal. Anyone who is a successful goalscorer and hence match winner at Rangers would be treated with equal contempt.
  23. Sometimes you just have a bad day at the office and need to suck it up. We’re not world beaters, we’re a work in progress and we’ll keep on getting better. In the meantime, let’s maintain composure and a sense of realism.
