Between 2015 and 2018 Connor Goldson only made 32 appearances, a period that also saw him diagnosed with a serious heart defect. He's been almost ever-present since he joined us. There's no way our medical and coaching staff don't know all about Souttar's injuries and his recovery, or lack thereof, from them. I get the concern about Souttar but we either have faith in our medical team or we don't. Football is a small community and everyone talks to each other. I remember buying Oleg Kuznetzov, he'd been almost entirely injury free for 5 seasons, dominating the Soviet league and starring for the USSR national team. He did his cruciate in his second match for us. Every player is a gamble to some extent.6 points

We need to stop looking and comparing what goes on between EPL sides , it defies logic , business sense and any rational , we just need to look after ourselves and conduct our business as we have done over the last couple of years , anything we get serious transfer wise is a bonus .5 points

The term legend is overused, but JD is an utter legend and not just for his playing career, his friendship with Bradley Lawery showed the type of person JD is. A pleasure having him representing our club, a model professional and I'm sure every Rangers fan will wish him well in whatever he does next. Thanks for the service JD and you have a place cemented in the history of Rangers FC.4 points

It was ridiculous to retain Defoe beyond the end of last season. I was disappointed in Gerrard’s judgement and suspect it had more to do with his relationship with Defoe rather than his obligation to Rangers.3 points

The police were only justified if they had clear evidence of wrong doing. I think it's now beyond doubt they didn't and in that respect these cases should never have been brought to court. It's just one more window on the corruption and incompetence running through every artery of public life in Scotland.2 points

So we now have soapy Soutar I wonder if wee Eck or fat Boab maybe even Wullie himself will follow 😂😂 .2 points

only honest thing green ever said was he knew in feb he would be the new owner. That was in June.1 point

I got suspicious of D&P when they dismissed Brian Kennedy’s bid. They should have been on their hands & knees begging him to take over. A respectable businessman with a proven track record. Then they nominated their preferred bidder as a trailer guy from the USA who’d never been outside the USA let alone know anything about Rangers. Once he withdrew his bid chuckles green appeared over the horizon to save the day💩 The whole thing was a farce and stank to the high heavens. No surprise the police got suspicious but they screwed up big style1 point

The police have cocked this up for sure.1 point

Still maintain the police were justified in going after these individuals. However they made a complete arse of it for whatever reason. It seemed to me they lacked evidence1 point

This Cameroon vs Ethiopia match has probably been the best so far. 4-1 to the hosts. I'm noticing a severe lack of diversity in the playing staff of both nations though.1 point

Assuming you're not rushed back (I'm guessing because the Achilles has a really poor blood supply so can take a much longer time to heal properly), there's a pretty low recurrence rate of achilles injuries. He did one, then did the other but was possibly not ready to comeback hence the recurrence. Or maybe it was a different injury. Every player's a risk and then you have luck to throw in to the bargain too, so who knows. I think he's a good signing and given injuries and Goldson going, he has a chance to set himself up to be our first choice CB.1 point

Grier is one of the worst names that have been associated with rangers ever. I hope for many things for him but a successful appeal is not one.1 point

A Scottish centre half at Rangers. I think I've seen one of those before.1 point

Agree with your post but just thought I’d point out that this bit isn’t true. He’s done the same Achilles twice. He’s done the other Achilles once. His other major issue has been a recurring ankle issue. This appears to have been resolved with surgery in 2019 if I recall correctly.1 point

Well deserved for both, although both should tell SPFL where to shove their awards, bunch of cheating chunts.1 point

Good luck to Defoe, a proper professional, hope he finds something suitable (playing, coaching or both) quickly. The sheer joy on his face at his OF goal showed you what it meant to him. Thanks for your contribution JD.1 point

Positive updates today. Souttar reportedly likely to come to us is very positive, even in spite of the obvious risk. Defoe leaving and Itten coming in improves our squad as Defoe has been out of the picture all season. The big thing with Itten for me has always been his goal scoring, he hasn’t really shown himself to be a natural goalscorer to date and that’s what I want to see from him. He is a decent all round player and always fit and works hard.1 point

It couldn't be justified before. The increased scope can't be justified after witnessing it in action. Who votes for this?1 point

Sturgeon has confirmed restrictions will be lifted from Monday. However, Covid certification at Scottish football games now only valid with booster… clubs must check 50% of attendees! Sounds like fun for the forthcoming games...1 point
