The manager must be getting sick of trying to patch a starting XI together with what is available. - There are those who will be out of contract next month. - There are those who aren't really match fit or in an established rhythm. - There are those who seem to have lost interest and/or can't be bothered with applying themselves when we haven't got possession. - There are those whose legs seem to have gone recently. - There are even a couple he can rely upon. Results over several years suggest a collective inferiority complex and lack of belief against our opponents. The manager hasn't yet found a way to beat them. Whilst a one off Cup Final represents opportunity and potentially, a motivational tool for those who are being questioned. It also represents a danger for the managers 'credibility balance'. He must feel like a man with a stick on his way to a gunfight.3 points

We really need to get some homegrown talent into our team, especially of our persuasion. Please!3 points

City and Arsenal will both win today so City will be Champs. I’d hoped for Arsenal but I’m grateful it’s neither United nor the Scouse.3 points

Here's a perfect example of where the club can't win. Young lad costing £400,000 and already the knives are out. Our finances dictate we have to take risks / punts on players like this. We simply can't afford (or probably attract) "finished articles".3 points

They have every reason to be over confident. We're back to pre-Gerrard, when they had us beat before a ball was kicked.2 points

A Kosovan one, I imagine. He plays/has played for Kosovo. What kind of Scotsman are you? An English one? I doubt it, and before you start, let me say this: It is about time we took back Scotland and Scottishness from the shinner bastards, and assorted non-jurors of the SNP, Alba, and other deluded nationalists.2 points

He's, em, Kosovan, and has played for the national XI, albeit is yet to score While, as a general rule, I don't have a problem with midfielders or forwards from the former Yugoslavia, I wish that we would look at cbs or dms, from, say, Serbia/Croatia/Bosnia; you know, big, hard, strong, fast, bastards who can play a bit, take no backward steps, and know how to get a reducer in early on the opposition's danger man/men. (That's a person spec, M. Clement.)2 points

Depends who is fit but I would go Butland Tav Souttar Leon Ridvan Sterling Dio Lundstrum Ross. Dessers. Sima And my instructions would be everyone to a man press and back each other up Celtic for years have been weak when pressed but nobody ever does it to them2 points

lots of our fans love to look back at our history of trophies won 55 leagues and all that but since 11/12 seasons the horrors have topped the pile 12 times to our measly 1 and in that time weve only managed runner up about 6 times our record is abysmal and maybe it needs pointing out to the board that the hoops will draw level next season if they dont get the finger out and deliver some decent money for new players .2 points

Councillors are most unlikely to impose penalties on themselves, their friends and relations. Send the bill to Rangers. If they had done what they should have done, there would have been no greenfest.2 points

As long as they don't do it next season-----no more plastic pitched please.1 point

Case in point being Katic for us. Wasn't pretty on the ball or to look at and played like it as well. Vidic for Utd being another prime example.1 point

but eight or nine other trophies to keep it company he's no Paisley but he did well for them1 point

Palace 1 up against Villa is hardly a shock when you consider the form of both teams. If it stays like that and Spurs beat Sheff Utd then it turns out beating City would've got spurs UCL. That clubs support have a serious inferiority complex, not just with Arsenal but with the rest of the 'Big 6'. No wonder fat Ange was fuming.1 point

There is a big advantage, for us, in that the fhilth will hugely underestimate us, hugely overestimate themselves, and generally, and genuinely, think that they merely have to trap at Hampden to win the match. Therefore, we should be 3-0 up before they know what has hit them.1 point

I doubt he's negotiating the fee or transfer tbh - European clubs aren't run like Hibs were when Alan Stubbs kiboshed the Scott Allan transfer. They'll have a DoF and/or chairman for that. If they're geniunely upping the price because their manager is ex Celtic then more fool them.1 point

I did notice a bit more speed in our play yesterday maybe down to playing some of the younger players and another thing I wouldn’t hesitate to play young Fraser at left back in the final the only way to improve the youngsters is to play them after all the faint heart never won the fair maiden1 point

12 G+A in 35 games for a 19-year-old? Not bad at all. He's only costing £400k. Actually, looking at the twitter comments, there are a few calling our league Mickey Mouse!1 point

5 goals & 7 assists in 35 game in a Mickey Mouse league doesnt exactly excite me 😳1 point

The rangers da's will be having kittens when they find out he's half a foot shorter than Ridvan. Good to see us linked though.1 point

MaCausland can be reasonably pleased with his first season. He’s had his ups and downs but it’s good to see a young player breaking through into the first team. Sadly he’s the exception rather than the norm unfortunately1 point

Possibly, but they still should have been involved in the training; that's negligence.1 point

I find the criticism of Clement's team selection baffling. I mean, have you not seen our injury list?1 point

McCausland has done well in a hard first season when you consider the injuries to himself and the players around him. I look forward to a fitter better prepared version of him after a good pre season, training with (hopefully) new and improved players.1 point

Looks like we may have some money coming from Leeds if they win promotion it’s all part of the Kamara transfer1 point

Just demonstrates how politically weak we actually are. "No one likes us, we don't care", but we should we really should.1 point

We played 56 games, not including friendlies, last season. We played 65 matches the season before. This season we'll play 59 competitive matches. Last season Copenhagen won the Danish league, the Danish cup and played in qualifiers and group stages of the Champion's League, yet only played 47 competitive games. Club Brugge played 51, PSV played 52. We can argue about playing too much football, but if we reach the latter stages of both domestic cups and qualify for European 'league' football, which we should do every season now, then that's not going to change. So what's vital is not only that we are able to keep our players fit, so perhaps don't sign ones with clear track records of fitness problems, but also that we need real depth in our squad. I've no doubt we've asked players to play this season who weren't fully fit. Would it come as a surprise to anyone of we found out that Tav, Goldson and Lundstram had all played when carrying injuries? For us to be successful next season we need a squad that can rotate and rest players without weakening the team. We don't have that currently.1 point

I see a few mentioning lists that need to be away this summer and I cant argue with most of it, but those wanting Tav away (I think it is the right time myself too) are going to be disappointed. This is the end of Tav's 9th season with us, meaning next season is his 10th and I know there is already a testimonial committee set up and working on a series of events for next year. Given how lucrative this is, plus he and his family are settled here, there is absolutely no chance he is going to be away this year. The 9 who are out of contract all have to leave, plus we just have to sell 3-4 players for good money to pay for the rebuild. We may also have to allow a couple to leave for free (Goldson) as their wages are out of sync with their contributions. I found it interesting in PC's presser yesterday that he was certain there would be huge changes in the medical department and that may of course include sports science as he is clearly very unhappy at the information and/or quality of work he is getting from them. He believes the injuries cost us the title and he is obviously unhappy at the support staff in this area.1 point
