  3. I’m with you on Windass. A wee boy in a mans game, nae heart. Miller should not be in the team before Morelos and Cumming, just hope that Murty does not have Miller in his favourites list like Windass.

  4. I'm less worried about dropping points than the tactical direction of the team. Saturday was crying out for a change after 20 minutes, but Murty waited until 70 minutes, and not for the first time. The team is being hamstrung by the directions and formation from the sidelines.

  6. Born in the city, and indeed died in the city. Jonathan Swift observed the Yahoos all his life. At the age of seven, my perfect attendance at the Band of Hope(I signed the pledge) was rewarded with a copy of Swift's, 'Gulliver's Travels', still a favourite. The Tufty Club, my time as a Wolf Cub Sixer, and the Band of Hope have combined to produce the man I am today. A gin soaked squirrel slayer.

  8. Inevitable we'll be linked and he'd certainly be a better option than Hodson. However, I'd be looking for a younger player. PS: I'm going to close this thread now - feel free to open new ones for indivudual rumours until the summer.

  9. Apart from being a contradiction in terms, American football has to be the most over-hyped borefest on the planet. Or there's Nascar.

  10. Guys, You should all know by know that crap about fenians, taigs, tarriers and papes isn't welcome here. Plenty of less contentious terms for Celtic fans.

  11. Run the length of a pitch, attack a Rangers player, punch a male Rangers fan, hit a female Rangers fan with a seat - no jail. Throw an incendiary device into a pub full of Rangers supporters including children - no jail. Sign “The Billy Boys” - jail. Can someone spot the difference?

  14. If Dodoo was at HJK Helsinki for the same length of time asMorelos then I think he'd have scored a few there as well. Dodoo was at Leicester with little or no chance of game time in the first team prior to joining Rangers. I really don't think you can compare their records to date because of their different backgrounds in their careers so far

  15. I'd prefer a first eleven with Miller and Windass nowhere near it.

  16. Oh, come on? Miller over Windass? What era are you from? Miller has 2 goals this season, Windass has 6; Miller has 2 Assists, Windass has 7. But no, play Miller because Windass is 'spineless', and has 'nae heart'. What does that even mean?

  20. Sorry, but Hibs were able to pick us off with four at the back easily enough. Reducing these numbers further would have seen Murphy dropping back even more often than he already did. Can't understand the problem people had with John. He was far more productive and dangerous that day alongside Murphy than the other wing. The main problem was the lack of target men up front, as Morelos was closely marked and Windass in Miller-style here there and everywhere. I would have swapped Holt for Docherty and Windass for Cummings at HT or after 60 mins.

  22. Opposing teams invariably (Celtic aside) play a form of 4-5-1 against us when they come to Ibrox. So the need for 4 defenders isn't there (though some could say that Tav plays further forward in the 4 anyway - however, he is still part of a back 4 and when he gets forward that leaves a lack of balance at the back). Playing 3-5-2 allows you to play 3 proper defenders, 3 proper CM's and 2 wingers and 2 up top. The good thing about the 3-5-2 with out current personnel is that both Murphy & Candeias happily help out defensively so rather than the back 3 being exposed, with those two helping out defensively you, at times, have a back 5 (only when and if needed) but more importantly, you don't get over-run in midfield. As well as that, you also have 2 strikers on the pitch. One thing we know.... at Ibrox something needs to change because whatever we are using just now clearly isn't working...

  23. Certainly worth trying for a few games anyway

  24. We really need to go 3-5-2 at Ibrox which allows us to continue to use wingers, but with 3 proper CM's in there too.

  25. I am not sure why as you made a statement that a good manager would not lose points against such said Diddy teams. I proved you wrong, If anything it is you who looks stupid. I actually wonder If you are actually a Rangers supporter or hater to be honest as you seem to be negative to everything

  27. He didn't really concede it later though - he said he felt it was a soft decision. Though I guess he also said he held his hands up. The guy genuinely felt bad for the club and fans at "letting them down". Very nice gesture of him.

  28. Agreed pete. I think what both Rab and dB are missing is that even though that still suggests Morelos MIGHT be onside.... the ball still hasn't been struck. The still looks, to me at least, that Morelos is breaking forwards whilst the Hibs defenders who MAY be playing him onside will be moving laterally at best - and as an attacker you would expect Morelos to be quicker at breaking. Looks offside to me.

  29. If she didn't want any unwarranted attention, both positive and negative, then she could have not posted the picture. The people that she would actually want seeing such a picture should be, IMHO, family and friends - and she should have their contact details to be able to do so. As cooponthewing says, these social media sites are very much "look at me" platforms. I deleted facebook a few years ago because I was tired of seeing/reading what people had made for dinner or when they last went to the shitter - and then you have your own circle of friends who then talk incessantly about "did you see what XXXXXX posted on facebook" etc - was the best decision I ever made in all honesty - I have NEVER missed facebook - I have family and friends telling me I should get back on it.... but I am much happier with how I now spend my time - instead of spending hours on facebook I can hit the gym, worry about myself instead of concerning myself with others. These platforms are open sourced, unless you make them private - which is very easy to do - so, for Yvonne Dorrans, if she doesn't want the attention or the negativity then she could easily make her twitter account private and restrict it to those she actually wants to see such images. It looks to me like a "look at me" post she made. Nothing wrong with that but if you wish to draw attention to yourself then be prepared for the bad AND the good. Whether or not people should be posting comments about "jaikeys" or people being a "waste of space" is, IMHO, an entirely different conversation. The anonymity of the internet is both a wonderful and terrible thing. People have to look at their own conscience and determine if their posts reflect who they really are as a person and whether or not they wish to be like that in real life. The lack of boundaries and respect on social media platforms crosses many topics, interests, divides, religions, groups etc - it isn't just because she is a Rangers player's wife that boundaries and respect are being ignored - it happens to many thousands of people daily on facebook, twitter, Instagram etc etc.

  30. Real undiluted yahoo-ery would have been observed beyond the Pale. Did Swift ever travel there? We must -can only- assume that he did, given his description: "...the most filthy, noisome, and deformed animals which nature ever produced ....... ....restive and indocible, mischievous and malicious."

  31. I think our home results, alone, justify wanting a new man in the manager's seat come the start of next season. Not good enough.

  32. Morelos is a year younger than Dodoo and has scored 65 goals so far in his career. Dodoo has a grand total of 12. Morelos is clearly in another league and hopefully us signing him wasn't just blind luck. We should already have his replacement in mind. If Dodoo was any good I doubt he'd have come back from his loan with third tier Charlton having only scored one league goal.

  33. Not blaming the referee for our defeat, however another shocking performance from another ref, every week now, yet they never seem to get pulled for poor performances!. This must be the worst standard of refereeing ever in Scotland! a total disgrace.

  35. This was on the first visit to Dingwall earlier this season. Obviously the reaction to this photo did some good. This time round before kick off I spoke to one of the higher ranking Policemen and asked if us in wheelchairs could go in front of the hoardings and he said yes and he had absolutely no problems or concerns in accommodating such a request. Although you can't work it quite from the above photo this made a massive difference to the view for us wheelchair users. After about 15 minutes a Steward came down and told us all to go back behind the hoardings citing their favourite catch all "Health and Safety", we declined his request citing the Police response, he came back 5 minutes later and asked if the carers would go behind the hoardings a request we acceded to. A wee bit of common sense by all parties which made a huge difference to our view and enjoyment of the game. This lasted till Cummings goal and the invasion of the Neds then the Stewards came en masse and lined up like in the photo above though there was nobody where the 4 Police are grouped in that photo. I just hope the Neds haven't ruined it for any subsequent visit to Victoria Park for us wheelchair users. Tuesday sees us visit Partick Thistle who are moving us out of the front of the Main Stand which I quite liked as it was slightly elevated, sheltered and afforded clear unobstructed views and into the Jackie Husband Stand with the rest of the Rangers fans. It looks to be a decent area and if we can see over those standing up in front of the platform (it's hard to tell from certain from the photos but looks promising) it will a very welcome addition indeed and one like the new St Mirren area puts larger Club's to shame. St Mirren's recent addition in their Main Stand. Nice to see at least some sections of Scottish football taking the matter seriously and showing it's more a case of a willing mind than a fat wallet. News reaches me that UEFA have now started the process of moving the recommendations of the Access For All report http://www.cafefootball.eu/sites/default/files/contentfiles/pdfs/UEFAandCAFEGoodPracticeGuideENG.pdf from being merely guidelines and becoming regulation. I doubt this will be an overnight implementation but it's a most welcome development and can't come round soon enough. Meanwhile the SFA announce that after 2020 all Scotland games, semi-finals and finals will be played at either Hampden or Murrayfield probably the worst to grounds in the country for wheelchair fans. Makes you proud to be Scottish eh?

  37. If we get rid of everyone who won't go on to be a Rangers great, we may as well pack it all in now. We wouldn't have a single player left.

  38. I have intimated previously that BBC Scotland are now in the habit of telephoning the opposition manager post match. We must welcome this, as license fee paying Rangers supporters, we receive greater coverage of events unfolding at Ibrox. Further, why should supporters of the opposition be denied coverage also, just because that Saturday's fixture list pairs them with BBC Scotland's least favourite team. Thus, since the end of November, we are the beneficiaries of post match interviews with Tommy Wright, Martin Canning, and Owen Coyle. The first two rightfully lionised their teams for deserved wins at Ibrox. Owen utilised the opportunity to complain about a non penalty than only he witnessed. Richard Gordon allowed him full vent. Then, Big Dick's Dandy Dons were battered again, and there was NO post match interview with Derek McInnes. A shame, I would have liked to hear Derek's take on his third consecutive failure this season. However, today the first post match managerial interview on BBC Radio Scotland today(apart from the 12.30 kick-off) was Neil Lennon. A smug Richard allowed Neil to state today's Hibs victory was up there with ra Sellik's CL defeat of Barca in his managerial feats. Sure, it was a sniggerfest for Big Dick and he enjoyed it enormously. It's such a shame he could NOT bring Derek to the phone. There you have it, at best BBC Scotland's post match managerial interviews are triumphalistic, and at least a grievance line. When it gets personally tough, Richard doesn't bother.

  39. Not sure I share your enthusiasm Ian? Dodoo has nowhere near the heart or desire as Morelos. He certainly won’t take a chance on getting hurt. I put Dodoo in the same bracket as Windass although Windass is starting to dish out the humble pie to many of us.
