If Easdale has voting rights over 21,304,505 shares, and only owns 4,242,110 himself and BP & Marg have a combined 7,026,485 this is only 11,268,595 in total. So whose shares does he also have proxies for, given that the total number of these proxies must total 10,035,910. If such a number existed under any significant ownership, surely the owners would have to be listed? Are we to believe that he has proxies amounting to over 12% of the total share capital and they are all in under 3% bundles? Is it possible that a lot of those shares have been sold, (or were never there in the first place!) and this is another "honest mistake" by NOMAD(s) over the period? Is there any way the NOMAD or Easdale can be forced to issue publicly a full list of who he holds proxies for? It doesnt seem to add up to me.

Can the RFB comment on the latest Ashley loan?
Tannochsidebear replied to coolk's topic in Rangers Chat
I dont think you are right in this DB. The contempt comes from the original set-up of this RFB, the elections, voting process, cost, and the fact it was clearly to alienate and split an already split support still further. It is clearly intended as a patsy for the club to say they consulted with the fans when they dont. And sadly, as the SF tickets fiasco has shown, is working exactly as envisaged by the board when they came up with it. It has been discussed many times how a properly set up RFB could and should work, and this is not it. I will support any group of Rangers supporters who are trying to work towards bettering our club and I would heartily support RFB if it does what it is should do. If it just wants to get its tummy tickled by a club Director from time to time, it will get correctly vilified from the very supporters they are supposed to represent. This is the RFB big chance to make a splash and prove they are going to have the balls to tackle the big issues and bring the club to book as best they can when it is clear the club are considering something that no right-minded supporter of the club can agree with. If they manage to do this, they will rightly get the praise their work will deserve. For now, a call for clarification is pathetic, absolutely pathetic, and is rightly subject to abuse from the support. This is nothing to do with the aims or politics of any fans group, as this is one topic every single Rangers supporter can (or certainly should) agree on, so there should be no room for debate or discussion for the RFB, it should be meeting/corresponding internally and issuing very strongly worded statements and demanding meetings with Club directors to scream at them that this is not on. Anything less should lead to resignations, and the folding/complete restructuring of this patsy organisation. I have no doubt that every single RFB member signed up with the best intentions to do their best for the supporters and the club, but they not only have to have the time to attend meetings, they have to have the balls to do the dirty work too as well as the photo opportunities and nice things.- 59 replies

They are both share purchase vehicles and are both run in the interests of Rangers supporters and to try to acquire enough shares to ultimately have some influence in the running of the club. They are various small differences in ethos and ultimate aim, but for now it is only important that both are working towards the same aim, which is getting more and more Rangers shares into the hands of Rangers supporters and out of the hands, or at least dilute the ownership and influence of those currently in charge and not working in the interests of the club we all love. Back one or other, and preferably both if you can afford it, and get as many people as you can to do the same.

SoS online petition - Remove the existing board
Tannochsidebear replied to Ser Barristan Selmy's topic in Rangers Chat
I agree entirely BD, it looks rushed, reactionary and emotional. It seems to me it's intention is to annoy more than to persuade them to change a course of action. However the number of respondants could place some pressure on them if it is high enough, given the pressure and stress they must all be under just now with everything happening as it is, they wont need thousands of emails bombarding them. As fans we cannot do a lot, so a number of bears will see this as a small opportunity to sign something knowing the email goes to Somers and is a chance to be a nuisance, or tell him what they think of his performance as Chair so far. -
SoS online petition - Remove the existing board
Tannochsidebear replied to Ser Barristan Selmy's topic in Rangers Chat
Like a lot of these types of things, it is all about pressure by numbers. Does everyone signing this petition go to Ibrox in the first place? No. Can you sign this petition to ramp up more pressure on our board and still go to Ibrox? Yes. A huge number of signatories will only help to add more pressure on an already vulnerable position that a few weeks ago would just have been dismissed out of hand but now may just be taken a little more seriously. -
He is one of a few players that, under new management and coaching, could really surprise us and be a worthwhile player to be used in future. There are very definately signs of a player trying to get out, his performance in the SCSF last season being noticably improved, but is one of a few players that as soon as they have one bad game are consigned to the bin again, like Temps, Clark, Shiels etc, while players who have been really poor, like Smith, get their place back (and not even their own position) as soon as they are available again. The sooner we get new coaching/management in the better.

Forum competition: Prize is a free ticket for tomorrow's game
Tannochsidebear replied to Zappa's topic in Rangers Chat
There is no way 30K were bored to tears yesterday by attending the match. I thought there was a slightly larger crowd than the last home game in the Govan stand but the Copland & Broomie both looked the same as before. I was in the main stand so couldn't tell how the 3 tiers looked. Of course the ticket Zappa put up for grabs and was not used was counted as part of the 30K crowd. -
Dave King purchases Artemis shares (confirmed!!)
Tannochsidebear replied to j1mgg's topic in Rangers Chat
I don't see what the problem is with the 30% rule anyway. The offer price they will have to offer won't be far away from the current price, and it is fairly certain that Ashley et al won't sell so any offer won't actually cost much relatively speaking, but it might just get them a few more % to cement their status as the majority and get to run the club unopposed. Or am I reading this all wrong?- 135 replies

McMurdo's latest, not one positive thing to say about the 3 Bears!
Tannochsidebear replied to Siam69's topic in Rangers Chat
It might have to be done in stages instead of one season. Even if we do manage to sneak up this season, next season wont be pretty with us at best a distant second. Of course all this is dependant on getting in a proper management team and some good scouting. The gap behind the scum is not huge and quite easily catchable as they have been downgrading their quality at a welcoming rate since our troubles, but it will take a lot of things to align which at present are light years away from so doing.- 67 replies

A run down of known significant shareholders would be very interesting to see now. On one hand we have the existing lot - Ashley,Easdale & proxies who hold 36%, and then we have the 3 Bears on 20%, Ally/Walter 3%, Prior 2.5%, BR/RF 1.5% and individual fans owning around 10%. Then we have the hedge funds & corporates who bought in the existing IPO who dont appear to be fully sided either way. (Please note all above figures are estimated and I would happily accept any corrections!)

Kenny McDowall in high spirits at Hogmanay training
Tannochsidebear replied to Zappa's topic in Rangers Chat
Although the photo doesn't exactly show him in the best mood, every week there seemed to be a photo of Ally and the players laughing away and seemingly having a great old time of it, but come Saturday it was the same old turgid poor performance again. If Kenny moans and groans his way through training but manages to get this bunch of chancers playing well I would be happy enough with that. Obviously it is not going to happen as it is clear Kenny hasnt got the first clue about how to get a professional adult team to play good football, but in theory I would take it! -
Cheers Zappa, I forgot I had a backup!! As you say it wouldnt have mattered for the Hibs game anyway. Your efforts in running the GPL are most appreciated.
-
Damn I forgot to post a Hibs prediction. I was going to go for a 0-0 as well as I really believed we were going to get stuffed but I couldnt bring myself to actually go for that in a predictor, even if it is just for fun it feels dirty, a bit like betting against your own team (unless you are Ian Black of course!) I actually clicked on this thread to see who we were playing on Saturday, I knew it was a home game on Saturday at 3pm but I hadnt a clue about the opponents . Thankfully it is probably the worst team I have seen in our league this season, so we may sneak a draw again!!

1. So this 16% purchase, coupled with the 3.2% already owned by Taylor gives them almost 20%. With individual fans and the fans groups owning around 10%, I am hoping this now secures the safety of our assets as they need 75% to sell off Auchenhowie or Ibrox. 2. Finally the penny seems to have dropped that the only way to win this war is by buying shares, something I have been saying for quite some time now, and I repeated on here just the other day. Now they have enough shares to demand a seat on the board, and it may encourage other shareholding parties to either sell to them or side with them. It would seem finally some news worthy of cheer in yet another annus horribilus for Bears. Could 2015 see the dawn of a new era, or just a continuation of a bloody war with the team and it's supporters the biggest losers? Onwards and upwards Bears, and have a guid Hogmanay!

One the face of it this should be good news, but given this is being banded by the Rangers-hating scumbag Chris McLaughlin, who has plenty previous for printing what Jack Irvine wants printed without any need for proof of facts, we must proceed carefully until this is either officially confirmed by the club or the investors.

Ally spents his first Saturday off at the rugby

If we don't get a new management team ASAP
Tannochsidebear replied to Ser Barristan Selmy's topic in Rangers Chat
He didnt have to take it. His Contract is for assistant manager, he cannot be forced to be manager, especially when he was told his mate Durrant was being demoted and he was basically being left on his own, and not just for one match but for the rest of the season. He should have told them to bring in a new manager if they wanted McCoist to stop taking the team as that was not his job. -
Ally latest : sort out players contracts first!

Thats good enough for me then Rab. I was unaware of his contract details. Not like the Rhebel to get it wrong, again! Do they actually EVER print anything Rangers related that can stand up to scrutiny for accuracy?- 29 replies

Ally latest : sort out players contracts first!
Tannochsidebear replied to gisabeer's topic in Rangers Chat
I think it is right to point out that McGregor is only looking decent because he has to play alongside McCulloch, Foster, Mohsni etc, none of whom are proper footballers. He is doing the basics right in most cases, he is hardly Gough reincarnated. He is prone to lapses in concentration and has been second best at some goals we have conceded, but he looks like Baresi compared to the absolutely horrific Jig who has no positional sense, can't tackle, has no pace, doesn't mark anybody at set pieces, and quite frankly should be nowhere near the Rangers first team, at any level we are playing at. I would like to see McGregor beside a proper centre half to see if he is any good as I think he works hard, knows his position (CH not RB) and gives 100% (should be a given I know but look around the team and you cant say that about many of them).- 29 replies

These two articles pretty much sum up everything about the rat Davies, and when you take it with other rumours about his time elsewhere, it all seems to be about the Billy Davies show. His total failure to secure promotion THREE times from strong positions shows a bottle merchant who cant get across the line when the going gets tough. Well the going is always tough at Ibrox and we dont need someone who has no big game winning mentality. That doesnt work with us. I dont remember him actively chasing the celtic job as is quoted in the Forest article, but that alone would be enough for me to dismiss him from any chance of our job. As a Glaswegian he knows the script up here and you cant do that and expect us to just forget about it. He might be a decent quick fix if he is going to come in and get the team organised tactically and motivated, but it would clearly be another quick fix, another sticking plaster over our gaping sores. Another eventual pay-off.

Ally latest : sort out players contracts first!
Tannochsidebear replied to gisabeer's topic in Rangers Chat
I agree that of that list (I feel all dirty after clicking onto a Daily Rhebel link ugh) only McGregor has done enough to merit a new deal. I believe that a few of those players should be good enough to play for us and have massively underperformed and I would like to see how they perform under proper coaching and management, but not if that means giving them a new contract first, that right should be earned and they haven't done that this season.- 29 replies

Given that the Q&A part of the AGM is purely voluntary from the board, I don't see what right any minority shareholder has to ask questions at the AGM. The purpose of the AGM is to vote through the accounts, appoint auditors and re-elect Directors. While it is custom and practice to allow some questions from the floor after the Compulsory business is concluded, I do not see any way a NOMAD can enforce the board to take questions, never mind follow-up questions. While I appreciate the sentiment behind this, it looks like an error to me this time to try to apply pressure in this way on a board that clearly doesn't care about what it's shareholders/customers think. Any questions regarding the accounts should be done during the formal part of the meeting. Leaving questions to the Q&A is asking them to be blanked. Been the same since the Murray days, our fans have never done this AGM thing properly to ask the right questions at the right time. Questions regarding the accounts would have to be taken before the accounts were voted through, and fully answered as that is a compulsory part of the meeting. They couldn't just say no more questions if the questions are about the accounts, as far as I am aware of the laws in this area, although I will admit to being not fully up to speed with this area of Company law. Perhaps others could confirm/correct.

I have had a full breakdown of the account and the cost of the meal and drinks sent to me by BH and I can confirm, not that anyone would have been in any doubt, that everything was entirely in order. BH had a couple of decisions to make as is always the case in these type of events where some drink more than others, some on soft drinks etc, and it may be that some have paid a wee bit too much on the drinks as a result, and we can perhaps look at that for the next one, but overall I think he got it just about right with the split, and ensured the staff were properly looked after for their great service. I would add my thanks to BH for his sterling efforts and look forward to the next one.
