Much to my surprise, Clancy had a good game. Probably the best refereeing of an old firm game in recent years. Nevertheless, the question remains .... where is Willie Collum?4 points

The phrase I heard quipped about Oliver Burke, was: All of the hardware, none of the software. The lad doesn't seem to be the brightest.3 points

BTW, when we got Kamara I remember quite a few had doubts about his qualities, despite folk like Neil McCann singing praises. Same on FF. Now, someone over there did a bit of thread-necromancy and highlighted a few negative comments and then added a gif that has seemingly escaped Rousseau up till now ?2 points

Again, it was something the Celtic TV pundits commented on. They said it was a "slap in the face to the back 3" because we were effectively saying that we were happy to give them as much of the ball as they wanted. It worked brilliantly and it was summed up for me when Brown had to go and pick the ball up from the left and right back positions. However this only worked because of the workrate from Kent and Arfield. They stood off them, but as soon as they crossed a certain line, both Arfield and Kent sprinted to close the ball down with the help of Flanagan and Tav, and whoever we had in midfield on that side. It's those little tactical things that make such a massive difference. On reflection, I think we had an excellent start to the season and it was clear we had worked on somethings during the summer camps. However, we then had the Europa league games thick and fast and this meant we probably didn't spend much time developing the style until we had the winter break. I wonder if these tactical changes (that we had obviously worked on during that two week break) were one of the reasons we lost our way in January, February and March because it does take some time to make them work. Either way we are better for it now and we now look like a team in control during the big matches. With 3 quality additions in the summer (and a clearout of the wasters), we should be in great shape for the new season. My only concern at this stage is that we may lose Arfield, Tav and Kamara. All 3 have looked top quality in recent weeks and they would be almost impossible to replace without spending big money, so I hope we can get a good price for them if forced to sell. We are all sure Morelos will be going but at least I'm confident that the sum we get for him will adequately cover the cost of his replacement.2 points

I definitely think this was a deliberate tactic from SG. Have their 3 least effective players with more of the ball. It shows that SG is learning and has come on leaps and bounds from the powderpuff performance at CP early in the season.2 points

It was possibly a red but so was the Simunovic's elbow on Defoe in the first half.2 points

How can a centre midfielder be so good to watch? I'm wary of getting carried away as we always do, but there is no question of his technical ability on the ball. The way he loses his man so often with a quick bit of skill is just a joy to watch.2 points

Totally agree and the words make us sound as bad as them. Personally, i find it in very bad taste and my only problem is the hypocrisy over this. Again, it’s more evidence of the media programme to attack the Rangers support, while ignoring what others have been doing for decades.2 points

Good to hear that Souttar (at a fee way beyond his worth) is down the pecking order, if indeed he's on it.1 point

The way Kamara kept the ball, played a few neat passes, let Brown in his slipstream and then setting up Arfield to score was just great. He said in his earliest interview that he tends to be rather cool on the field of play and doesn`t let much get onto him. Yesterday was the perfect example.1 point

I'm sure we will get a better valuation on Morelos, but I agree we won't need to use all of it to replace him. I don't know about you, but for some reason I now am relaxed about it because Mark Allen and Andy Scoulding are proving that they can find us the right players. It feels like we won't make as many mistakes in future with this setup. This summer is of course different because it's about adding quality rather than the quantity so let's see who they can attract over the summer. We need quality to replace (or compete with) Morelos, Arfield, Kent and Katic. If we get that, I'm sure we all go into next season feeling quietly confident.1 point

I think if we can get anywhere near 10 million for Morelos it would be great business. We can then use that to try and pick up another striker for 2/3 million. I definitely would look at the Balkan leagues. Their players are not over priced (compared to England 2nd and 3rd tiers) and they generally have a great technical ability. There must be a striker somewhere in Serbia/Croatia who could fill that void? Look at Mitrovic at Fulham. A player in that mould would be great for us. I'm not saying him directly but we need to be looking for the next Mitrovic1 point

You’re correct all their possession was at the back.1 point

IMO, it's between that and the Morelos goal at Aberdeen for Most Beautiful Halfway Line to Net..... Goal of the season. Splitting the component parts. Best finish was Morelos but best build-up was yesterday.1 point

I think our season finished yesterday to be honest. I'd send home the guys who have played most of the games Tav, Goldson, Arfield, Jack and Candeias and give them an extra week to recover. I think the important psychlogical win was yesterday and you now have to prioritise next season. It wouldn't be throwing the game away because IMO we've still got enough in the squad and I'd give a couple of the youngsters a start, they deserve it.1 point

Much of the Scottish fitbaw environment is of relative, repetitive and very predictable low quality. From players to pies, officials to authorities, media to songbooks.... but it's what we know and we tend just to go with it. A little bit of imagination and a general will to carry it through regards the songbook could actually see us gain the political initiative but it's not happening anytime soon. As someone who lives overseas and doesn't attend matches I fully understand if my opinion is considered to count for nothing.1 point

I was just about to look this up. This was pretty much inconceivable at any time of the season before April. Especially given these are all the top 7. In the first half of the season we'd string some wins together against the bottom teams and then stumble when it came to one the top 6. What a turnaround. By the way @buster., can we use the word "huge" for Kilmarnock? In 3 league games this season we've drawn 2 and lost 1. How deflating would it be to fail to win at Rugby park after such an inspired run? And how deflating to end the season 8 or 9 points behind instead of 6? Of course strictly speaking the game is meaningless, but in terms of morale and signalling our intent, showing that we are a different team and extending that winning run to 7 it is very important.1 point

Quick observation Oliver Burke has changed hands for something in the region of 25M pounds over two transfer deals but I'd much rather have Jake Hastie. Hastie could make it at a decent level IMO Burke has already crashed and burned1 point

Bossed the game from the first kick bar a five minute spell at the end of the first half. Should really have taken 7 points off them this season but 6 is restoring us again and the 6 pts gap could easily have been less looking overall the season. Kent my MOM ahead of Arfield, the priority has to be to get Kent back for at least another season, he can be unplayable on his day.1 point

Thanks for watching their insidious manoeuvres dB. I may be wrong but, to me it looks like the BBC-SNP and MSM know there is change coming and, are trying to inflict as much damage while they can. There will be no hiding place for them when change comes. We need to inform others of their devious and spurious actions.1 point

I had to watch the game on Celtic TV today (long story!). I was expecting it to be strongly biased like Sky Sports or the BBC, but their commentary was actually really good. At that incident with Flanagan, their commentators agreed that it was just a coming together of two tough players and that Flanagan shouldn't have been booked. Their overall analysis was that Celtic just don't have the players to break Rangers down and that they'll have to spend big money in the summer. They picked out Davis, Arfield and Goldson as the anchors in the Rangers team, and said that they just don't have players to compete with them. They also suggested that Lennon looked like a guy "that knows he won't be here next season after this result". Unfortunately I think they're right there.1 point

That's twice we've dominated them for almost the entire game. Delighted of course, but you do wonder how close we'd have been to winning the league this season if we hadn't lost stupid points. Arfield was excellent, but Kamara is strolling throughout these games. I hope we can hold on to him for next season but any team watching him from down south must be interested. He is an unbelievable player. He will prove to be signing of the season without a doubt.1 point

Meh--I feel we can do better. He's been good, but that end product is not there, for me.1 point

Morelos is a good footballer with the potential to be very good. Morelos often displays petulance and reacts badly to things not going his way. Opposition players know they can get a reaction, so deliberately wind him up. The referees have his card marked. I don't think anyone can honestly dispute these points. Acting like it's all his fault or not his fault at all are both erroneous.1 point

Willie was last seen blindly ignoring a stick-on penalty for Kilmarnock at the piggery just last weekend, thus ensuring his beloved hoops get the 3 points. he may not be able to negatively influence our games any more after being caught cheating, but he can still positively affect the bheasts games with not a peep of debate about it.1 point
