  1. This would've been enjoyable whenever it happened but to see them implode like this during their special ten-in-a-row season is just priceless. I'm not saying it makes up for our years in the wilderness but it certainly helps.

  2. Thank you for remembering me, I’m ok just a bit baffult. Don’t want to overreact after one game but I might delete my account and come back as ElBuffaloSoldier55 or KeNtGeTENoUgH to save face.

  3. Celtic play Livi twice in the next few days. On this showing Celtic will be very lucky to pick up six points.

  4. He looks a decent player. For all the supposed rivalry, we've had a habit of picking up good players from Pittodrie over the years.

  5. Not sure they have either a heart or a soul Bill....

  6. Not to be considered, but he warrants a wee mention because he is the forgotten member of the ECWC'72 squad. A former Dustbin man and Policeman from Germany, Gerry Neef took over from Norrie Martin/Erik Sorensen in 1968 and played approx' 50 games for Rangers before Peter McCloy arrived. He was a brave Keeper, always challenging opposing forwards. I attended a Glasgow Cup game against Queens Park and he was injured, cracked ribs. Colin Stein took over in goals. Gerhardt Neef, one of the continentals that livened up Ibrox life in the late sixties. There was King Kai and Swedish World Cup semi-finalist, Orjan Persson; I'm sure there was another, cannot remember?

  7. I guess this is as clear a case of "reap what you sow" as you'll find in Scottish fitba

  8. Ok @ian1964 please accept my apologies and commence posting as much gossip as possible!

  9. I expect that tonight's game will be cancelled due to an unplayable pitch, following frost, snow, frost, and rain. That is a decision for the match referee, of course, so "Paging Clancy, paging Clancy!"

  10. I don’t remember seeing us put a 15 consecutive league games winning run together in my 35 years of watching us every week? This run is incredible and for us not to go on and win the title will take a monumental slip up of equally huge proportions but given what we’ve been through these last 9 years I’m sure I’m not the only one taking nothing for granted.

  11. Just when you think this season couldn’t get any better. I think the only thing left to look forward to is their humiliation in the child abuse courts.

  12. The comeback is on. We started the day 22 points ahead, we finish it only 21 points in front.

  13. Excellent does us good and even better that the equaliser was scored in sceptic time.

  14. How did track and trace quantify the 16 people who have to isolate? Surely they are all within each other's space?

  15. Listening to BBC Radio Scotland. The SPFL have refused two formal requests to appear on Sportsound to explain the refusal of Hibs asking for all Sellik playing staff for tonight's game at Sellik Park. Neil Doncaster, Murdoch MacLennan, and Rod McKenzie are the Chief Executive, Chair, and Secretary of the SPFL, they take almost a million quid per annum out of the Scottish game, and they refuse to explain decisions: 1. The decision to move the game from Saturday last to this evening against Hibs wishes, to accommodate ra Sellik's R and R trip to Dubai. 2. The decision to refuse the reasonable Hibs request for Covid testing of the Sellik squad for tonight's game. The SPFL have threatened Hibs with forfeiting the points if they refuse to play, the SPFL are willing to punish the innocent to appease the guilty. How long is Peter's shadow?

  16. Watching that video of Andy Goram reminded me of that freezing midweek game at Pittodrie when I watched Aberdeen absolutely hammer us for 90 minutes and the Goalie made amazing save after amazing save. The best goalkeeping display I have ever seen. I think it was Hately who scored a breakaway goal to win the game. Great joy.

  17. You have to hand it to Celtic. When they self-destruct they really put their heart and soul into it.

  18. Quite windy today. We might see some parts of their 5 star dump falling from the roofs prior to kick off? I'm sure they will try anything

  19. They have absolutely no one to blame but themselves. But they'll find someone.

  21. I thought Crawley won easily. Shaky start for Crawley then midway through the first half Leeds had a fifteen minutes of domination when it looked as though they were going to score a lot but it didn’t happen. After that you couldn’t tell which side was the Premier League. After the second goal it was a question of how many. Bielsa out. Pulis is available.

  22. Aye, but as I always say, if der Goalie could've passed a ball, we'd never have seen him at Ibrox. He was phenomenal in one on one situations, I don't think I've ever been as confident in that situation with any other keeper. They all had and have fantastic attributes, and we're lucky to have had all 4 of them.

  24. I missed the last 20 minutes but at least for the first 70, I think Kent was a fair way ahead of anyone yesterday and that second assist was special. A timely return to form.

  25. Sorry - I didn't realise you wanted it up so soon. I could have done it last night, but thought I'd wait until the next day.

  26. In seriousness, fantastic result and it’s another very tough fixture ticked off. Brilliant for Morelos to get two goals, proper strikers finishes at that, and let’s hope it instils some confidence back into his game. I’m still in the process of watching through the game on catch up, I’ve got too many kids to watch most games live, but I’m not surprised Kent had a better game at Pittodrie, it’s always a fixture which suits his style with more space in behind. His second assist was just a wee touch but it was brilliant, if that was Hagi I’d have started a thread about it. On to Motherwell.

  27. Stats don’t tell the whole story though. I thought both goals were all about Hagi dragging defenders around and making loads of space for Kent and Morelos? ?

  28. The stats are incredible really. Can't give the players and coaching team enough credit but there's still a lot of hard work to be done!

  29. I gave it to Morelos for his two goals but also to boost his confidence, knowing that he’ll be logging in here to check our MOTM vote! ?

  32. I saw a list on-line but don't know how accurate it was. I can't find it again but it included Barkas, Brown, Soro, McGregor, Chrstie (I think) but not Eduoard. Edit - now seen a different list, which didn't have some of these players on it, so who knows.

  35. We’ll need a ruling from the Chief Witch Doctor @Rousseauu but is this not a case of nemesis ca’in’ the feet from hubris?
    1 point
  36. He really wouldn't have been. The main way it's moved on is that keepers have to use their feet a lot more and Goram was far better with the ball than McGregor. How many current EPL keepers are better than Peter Schmeichel?

  37. They're not in bubbles, bubbles is the bake off contestants living away from their families for weeks, or my mates working offshore in Angola who then spend 10 days properly isolated in a hotel before getting home. These guys are going home to their families at night, the exemptions they have are only when they cross the white line, ie training and match days, that's it. Sitting next to each other swallying is not part of the exemption, that's why Kennedy had to say that they'd had 'issues'. To be fair, you won't get a better ventilated space indoors than an aircraft, the amount of air changes possible is incredible, air is bled from the compressor of the engine, enters the upper end of the plane, and is taken away at feet level. It's a bit of an urban myth I'm afraid.
