we really should be doing better than this. I know people say it doesn't matter but i disagree. last pre season we were great and celtc awful and for my it impacts the season ahead.

Aside from Rangers there are two other places he will manage. England and Liverpool. He stays on the same trajectory, does well in Europe and he will be a shoe-in to replace Klopp. Thereafter once successful at Pool, and a little bit older, the England job should be his too

TSB, what an absolute sound piece of advice. I wish you had posted that yesterday before I blew 30 quid! ? Hard to take any positives from that. Stared at the buffering circle for a large part of 1st half, no commentary (thought Tom had tested Covid positive). I can't therefore say much about 1st half. The second? Well......Kelly, Mayo and Bassey were decent and the commentary returned but as the half wore on they were clearly using the old diversionary tactic of talking about past players to deflect from the dross on the field! As everyone says, early days. Having listened to the managers post match comments I already fear for JJ and Whitty (lol?)

The starting eleven might have eventually done the job if they had stayed on though they should have done it in the first half hour.

It was a decent enough starting XI which should be doing a lot better than losing 1-0 to Tranmere Rovers.

I didn’t see the game but fringe players & youngsters need to use these games to show the manager what they can offer. Doesn’t look like that happened

The only positives from that match were Mayo & Kelly looked good

Don't know what we can take out of this game (if anything). We created enough chances to win several games. Kelly looks impressive, good to see Kent involved but not much more to add. Its been poor overall. Arsenal up next.

To be fair, we've missed about three sitters. And, they've scored with a belter, but it was still a gift in itself by us not covering the space.

I heard Tom Miller for a couple of minutes but mostly they have lost the comms feed and the picture has to be refreshed every couple of minutes as it freezes. From the little I’ve managed to actually see, looks a strong starting line-up and we look the more threatening but it’s fairly typical of early pre-season with very little pace in the game.

There is no way Rangers is losing money in this fixture. Or that RM is prostituting themselves for seven figures of Rangers money. I also think it's highly unlikely this friendly is taking place at Rangers' sole request. Sometimes, the inherent negativity from some quarters of our support is just absurd. The apparent need to find fault with the club suggests an urgent need to review priorities. We have predictions of share issue failures, accusations of share price shenanigans, and now throwing money at Real Madrid. When you consider the prudence shown in recruitment these last few seasons and the rebuilding of infrastructure and brand, you have to ask where does this pessimism and lack of trust come from?

I'm still annoyed about the worst decision I've ever seen in a match when Hutton was bundled over and Italy scored from the resulting free kick... But I'd still rather Italy win. ?
