The difference in Morelos under Gio is summed up by this award. More mobile, more dangerous and more interested without sacrificing all of the deeper link-up play Gerrard expected from him. An on-form Morelos will go a long, long way to us retaining the title.6 points

The term legend is overused, but JD is an utter legend and not just for his playing career, his friendship with Bradley Lawery showed the type of person JD is. A pleasure having him representing our club, a model professional and I'm sure every Rangers fan will wish him well in whatever he does next. Thanks for the service JD and you have a place cemented in the history of Rangers FC.5 points

RE: Defoe, his three years were a fantastic cameo from a naturally gifted striker. Loved watching the guy play when called upon as he had the kind of attitude and approach to the game that every young player should examine very closely.4 points

Seems a pre-contract for Souttar appears inevitable and hopefully a deal can be done for him to join asap. For a low fee and with Helander/Balogun still out, it's a sensible move for a decent defender who also uses the ball well (think long diagonals if/when Goldson moves on). Recalling Itten also sensible, given Roofe still seems unavailable and Defoe's future uncertain. Itten looked ungainly at times and never seemed all that comfortable wherever he played but he did also carry a threat in games where we occasionally needed that unpredictability.4 points

Not sure what you base that on. His league scoring record is very good this season.3 points

Michael Stewart will be contacting Irvine Welsh for the loan of his machete.3 points

I think recalling Itten is a sensible move. Yes, he's not set the heather alight, but I actually think he will suit GvB's set-up quite well; he seems to like a #9. Add to that the fact we're quite short up front, both in terms of actual fit players and different options.3 points

It was a pleasure to see Defoe play for us. That cushioned, almost passed, volley (I can't remember who it was against) was a sublime goal.2 points

Exactly, i don't think anyone except those who like to have their lives fully controlled by a nanny state would consider something like this.2 points

I love both Helander and Roofe as players. Both top quality for us. But I'd be lying if the persistent injuries they pick up doesn't annoy the life out of me. I know players get injured, but these two seem to have a real issue with it.2 points

No questions over his scoring record. Just his fitness.Like one or two others misses too many games for my liking The new Rangers manager may have a different view on this to his predecessor2 points

It couldn't be justified before. The increased scope can't be justified after witnessing it in action. Who votes for this?2 points

Scored a couple of goals but didn't get much game time for a very very poor side. 12 appearances in total so far.2 points

Leaner, keener, meaner. Well deserved. Big turn around.2 points

If all of that comes through it will be another very good window for Ross Wilson to add to his capture of GvB2 points

How do you know how good he thinks he is? Has he told you?2 points

Of course not, just like the evidence for no juke box in the pub, seating only, a substantial meal and 10pm pub curfew.... it was all total bollox just to show they were doing something.. anything.2 points

I’m glad Itten is coming back, deserves another shot. Thought he looked really sharp in preseason and looked our sharpest striker at that time but SG clearly thought differently and moved him on.1 point

Totally agree. The only downside was that there wasn't 50,000 fans at Ibrox to witness and pay homage to it. His 300th as well!1 point

Positive updates today. Souttar reportedly likely to come to us is very positive, even in spite of the obvious risk. Defoe leaving and Itten coming in improves our squad as Defoe has been out of the picture all season. The big thing with Itten for me has always been his goal scoring, he hasn’t really shown himself to be a natural goalscorer to date and that’s what I want to see from him. He is a decent all round player and always fit and works hard.1 point

I think Defoe departing is probably best for all concerned. Good luck to him wherever he ends up.1 point

I think the more pertinent question is did the organisation know about allegations, or was it complicit in covering up said allegations… which have now been proven to be true in a court of law…1 point

I suppose the new Rangers manager might want to see what he can do but I really don’t think Itten has a future at Rangers1 point

Maybe we offer Hearts the chance of a "lucrative friendly" game?1 point

From the Kicker article ... a rather level headed view: More recently, the 25-year-old only had a place on the bench, during the 0-0 against Augsburg and 0-0 against VfB Stuttgart: Fürth would have needed goals for a win, Itten has proved that he can get them, and yet coach Stefan Leitl refrained from using the striker from the bench. It simply did not fit - at the latest after Leitl turned away from his offensive, courageous approach (of last season and early on this season, DB) to the game and concentrated on stabilizing the defense - at the expense of the attack. Only one of three Fürth players who can have more than one goal of the season. Therefore, a separation makes sense, six months before the originally intended end of the loan. And that although Itten was one of only three players in the Fürth squad who have scored more than one goal all season. He scored in the 1-3 defeat against Bayern and in the 1-2 against Eintracht Frankfurt, only Branimir Hrgota (four goals this season, including three penalties) and Jamie Leweling (three) got more. Itten's "problem": He's a penalty area striker with good finishing qualities, but has to be served in the penalty area. Yet, the Shamrocks managed to get into this dangerous zone less and less recently and when they did, it was via counter attacks. Thing is, he is a Hateley type penalty area striker and we hardly played to his strengths, but time and again hoped that our left and right attacking player would come up with the goals to support Morelos. I do hope that GvB sticks to his words and changes the line-up according to the oposition at hand, rather than doing the same "4-3-3" over and over again. That aside, Itten won`t cost us a penny (and can`t be loaned anywhere else).1 point

If we can get cover at CB (Souttar), add to our numbers in midfield (Sands--who can also play in defense) and up front (Itten), alongside getting a right winger (Olsen), I think that's fantastic business. It's calculated, filling the most pressing limitations in our squad. Moreover, it looks like only the right-winger will cost us anything.1 point

Roofe posting on Instagram getting acupuncture on his calf. Never a good sign. I think Itten deserves another chance as a central striker/Number 9. I'm unconvinced on Soutter but low fee and moderate wage makes it less of a risk.1 point

Looks like a recall for Itten also:1 point

Problem with Goldson is that he thinks hes better than he actually is. I'll be very surprised if he gets a move to the english premier league. Given the carrot dangling at the end of the season its beggars belief that he would even consider playing hardball given his calibre.1 point

Just demand that everyone entering the ground has to have had a shower within the last 24 hours and there will be enough empty seats at the Scumdome.1 point

The (H)Aribo thing was certainly a bit annoying. I thought he was played a bit too deep today and as a result was largely anonymous. Looked comfortable whenever he had the ball though. Nigeria beating Egypt lessens the chances of Aribo being back for our trip to the Piggery, I would think.1 point

I think we just don't have the money to buy new players so what we have tie up any contracts that need renewing with an eye on moving them on for some profit . No use putting the business into further debt we have sufficient staff to win the league, so let's get on with it .1 point
