Not been this nervous of a semi since I watched Brokeback Mountain.....😜4 points

Can't believe players, team and manager getting knocked for that performance. Opened up tonight and we'd have lost 3 or 4 nil, as it is, we were unfortunate to lose and still have a great opportunity to make the final. That'll do for me3 points

Excellent performance and well done to GVB for getting almost everything right. He set up exactly the right way. I would quibble with keeping Wright on so long, and then the same for Aribo. But those are minor complaints in the grand scheme of things. All to play for.3 points

That 2008 run was remarkable, but it was brutal to watch; terrible football. I feel like our current side can almost go toe-to-toe with opponents, within reason.3 points

Well, to be honest, we had fare worse nights out in Europe this season. We kept them at bay rather comfortably and that worldy was more a desperate attempt than anything. Rarely you get so much luck hitting a shot how he did it and it goes through a 4 or more players. Thing is, the few times we arrived in their area, they looked far from comfortable. All to play for.2 points

All I was looking for is to keep the tie alive, done. However they are a very good team and it is still a massive task to beat them, big ask!.2 points

Surprised to see some players being criticised. I thought we did really well first half and everyone played their part2 points

And the midweek stuff. There's stepping down and there's making sure your more than decent wage is coming in for ever more. Some just can't step fully off the gravy train.2 points

Every single European game after qualifying from the group (that looked sketchy at one point) has been a bonus, for me. It's been an incredible run. This will be the toughest.2 points

One more great heave and we just might get through this latest challenge but I hope no one will be critical or too disappointed if we don't. Considering the pond we swim in, we are already punching miles above our weight. This has been an astonishing EL campaign and these players deserve huge thanks for putting Rangers firmly back on the European map. With luck and judicious recruitment this summer, I think there are many reasons for optimism.2 points

Regardless how this turns out, I still find myself slightly surprised to see we can compete at this level. There was a time not so long ago I thought I’d never see us in this company again. Marvellous, savour it.1 point

This looks hardcore Walteresque ... but RB runs a lot without really threatening. Not wanting to tempt fate, but so far, so good. Maybe one good counter attack ...1 point

Would be better than 2008. Back then we could purchase players without relying heavily on Bosmans. This group of players, and the team that recruited them, deserve great credit for getting even this far1 point

The game in Dortmund and the home ties against Dortmund, Crvena Zvezda and Braga were all terrific to watch. The 2008 run had some great moments but no great matches. I'd play Sakala this evening. I just think he's a bit unpredictable and that could work in our favour.1 point

I think that the formation will be the 4-2-3-1 that we've had success with recently. He won't pick Balogun just because he's missing on Sunday. I think Gio doesn't have as much faith in Balogun as others and his sending off perhaps sealed that so I think it'll be Bassey and Barisic again. Lundstrum and Jack will be sitting, which means no place for Davis unfortunately. I think Sakala starts up front as there isn't any other option and I don't think he's going to experiment on false 9s or other out of the box tactics as it's too big a game to go with something untested. Kent and Aribo pick themselves so it just remains a choice between Arfield and Wright, and he could go eihter way but I think he'll ultimately go with Arfield.1 point

Leipzig have beaten Atalanta and Real Sociedad away this year. This month they beat Dortmund 4-1 away. They beat Man City and drew with PSG in the group stages of the CL. They are a top, top side and I'm (my usual) pessimistic about tonight. But I also felt like that for much of our 2008 run, so who knows.1 point

The sun is shining and it's Europa League Thursday again where RB Leipzig will provide arguably our hardest test so far in the knockout stages. Dortmund a better side but we perhaps had the element of surprise then. Not now. Will be a difficult match but we know we're capable... In terms of the starting XI, despite the loss of Morelos, Roofe and Ramsey we still have plenty of options in terms of personnel and system. Will we see a 3-5-2 or one of our historically preferred 4-3-3 permutations? I suspect the latter but I'm still not sure of the actual XI. I think Balogun has to start as he's out of Sunday's game. But then it's a case of Bassey or Barisic, Davis or Kamara, Wright or Sakala and Aribo or Arfield? Or could we see a curveball like Sands or Amad? Like I say, plenty of options so Leipzig may still yet face a surprise. All in all, I think this will be the line-up and I can't wait to see!1 point

Did anyone else struggle to sleep last night? Think I nodded off about 1am and woke up at 5am. Cannae stop thinking about the game.1 point

I've said prior to all knock-out ties, no matter the outcome, we have been outstanding in Europe and getting to the semi-final is a phenomenal achievement and *may be* a step to far. No matter the results over the two legs, we should be extremely proud of the players. Any result in Germany that keeps us in the tie would be outstanding and that includes a narrow defeat. 9 years ago today we travelled to face East Stirlingshire, today we travelled to Germany to play in a major European semi-final. Winning 55 was a sign we were back, imagine the statement of getting to a European final would send? "See them march on"...1 point

Getting to another European final would be brilliant as I never expected them to do it again in the current era of the "big spenders". I unfortunately never had the resources to go to the previous ones although I did go to Manchester for the big screen viewing.1 point

You'd think they could do a gradual increase over a couple of years especially if you've held the child's season ticket for a while.1 point
