I have been in France these last 18 days. We have played three and lost three, conceding eleven goals and scoring nil. I am returned, heading to the Stadium for a spot of lunch then, we will thump Dundee United.4 points

To be honest I’d have taken any win today after those 3 defeats but there is no logic to team selection & tactics. why did an 18 year old start at CB today ahead of the guy who’s been playing regularly and the £4m Ben Davies? what does the manager think of Ryan Kent’s contribution ? Should he be dropped? who was playing wide right today? Arfield isn’t ideal there is he? How did Kamara & Matondo make the squad v Napoli but neither on the bench today? Why did we do nothing about the goalkeeper situation in the summer? We’ve now recalled 40 year old McGregor. Not exactly a long term solution is it?3 points

You think when we are scouting players we would look deeper into the character of the players we will be investing millions on, I heard when he was at schalke he had snaps of him in a Dortmund shirt albeit in his private time training he strikes me as someone of very little loyalty or respect.3 points

I saw him on the free agent list a couple of weeks ago. His recent playing history is shocking, constantly injured. A perfect signing for us.2 points

That was painful to watch. Hanging on against a team that have shipped goals galore. Our team is utterly devoid of any creativity or enguinity. There is not one player that increases your pulse rate or gets you off your seat. It truly is brutal. Saying all that...as bad as we were today, it must be demoralizing for players (that are clearly struggling) to see a half empty stadium with 5 mins to go in a game that is on a knife edge. I'm genuinely starting to worry about our manager. As much as we want young players to get game time, I'm always somewhat wary when they are thrown into a struggling side. King looks a decent option but if Davies is fit enough for the bench, he's fit enough for the starting XI. I presume our substantial outlay on him was with a partnership with Goldson in mind? Why not get him in? I'm also still not convinced as some others seem to be by Tillman. IMO he's far too slow on the ball.2 points

By now I have come to the conclusion that much like SG, Gio as a former DM/CM simply likes workmanlike dire-shows that grind out results. No will to play offensive football or change things when he has the options. this is really really aweful tactics and we seemingly have no will to change it, unless it becomes absolutely necessary. How I hate it being correct about pre-game predictions ... Grab them three points and run.2 points

Imagine how many goals Colak would score if we actually created a decent number of quality chances for him?2 points

Started well scored a goal then fell asleep and letting them back in the game. Standard2 points

I am fully aware that you will know this, but if you press reply and that text field opens, there is an icon above it, two slots left to the "A". If you mark the full line up and press that icon, it will align the text in the centre. You may change size and press B too ... McGregor Tav/Devine - Goldson - King - Barisic Lundstram Arfield - McCann Morelos - Kent Colak I'd chuck a few of the old brigade and stop being defensive ... its the Arabs, after all. McGregor King - Goldson - Davies Lundstram Matondo/Arfield - Tillman - Ridvan Morelos - Colak - Sakala2 points

Like many I’m concerned about our domestic form. But we are missing players who are injured. Lawrence & Hagi in particular. If Gio goes who replaces him? I’d fear another Pedro appointment1 point

Another midfielder at that end of the pitch is not what's going solve any of our current woes. That's a hard pass from me.1 point

Published: 17th September 2022 Dundee United are aware of the actions of a small section of the crowd who chose to not respect the minute's silence before this afternoon's match at Ibrox. As a club, ahead of the game we reached out to advise our supporters of the pre-match arrangements with the expectation that the minute silence would be observed.1 point

That is the usual short term measure. Sometimes a decent manager won't want the job until the summer when he can sort things out. He doesn't want to be pulled under by a squad with too many on the downhill slope of their Ibrox careers. Call Mr. Murty !! 😉1 point

They played on Wednesday for their own pride it's clear they're not going to play for the manager. The dressing room has gone.1 point

Now that is how you win a football game. I think Rangers had to send a message today. Message sent! If you're a team fighting relegation and you come to Ibrox, expect a moderately tough opponent. Second place is on lock lock y'all! Now let's to watch them Hogs!1 point

Wright and Tillman brought some spark, yet, McCann, solid as he has played, sclaffed about 5 chances by now. Are we somehow forbidden to use 2 strikers?1 point

I'm delighted to see King and McCann get well-deserved starts, but the rest of that line-up, middle to front, is so uninspiring.1 point

Well, the rant will be even better after the game if my pre-game prediction rant comes to pass 🤪1 point

Gio has been looking at my line up in the OP again. Only difference is he went for Jack, I went only 1 defensive mid.1 point

More than anything, I really hope McCann and King do well and stake a claim for a starting jersey, going forward. Energy, freshness and the only way we get high value players in the side is by developing them into such1 point

Sands is but 22 and currently seen as the go-to option as long as Helander and Davies are unavailable. TBH, despite being rash in some decisions, IMHO, Sands is no worse a CH than Goldson right now, plus he is quick and covers a lot of ground. McLaughlin is a good goalie and we should not forget that it were McGregor`s antics which cost us those vital points in that horror fortnight earlier this year. One bad kick-out will not determine his fate. We all know the pros and cons of both keepers and both are here for a reason.1 point

Well, the fat lady hasn`t even dressed for her travel to the opera house, never mind arrived. So best keep some sort of a cool head for the time being. My sarcastic self had a wee wry smile at the reaction of the past tenday or so. For ages I proposed that we need to change tactics, drop ineffective players or at least changing them more quickly. The amount of FLAK I got and get for that can be measured in metric tons by now, yet after those very same tactics and players manage to fail again (sic!) in three semi-important games and hell breaks lose ...1 point

I watched Aston Villa v Southampton last night. What a dreadful game. Both teams dull as dishwater and the only goal coming from a good old fashion goalmouth stramash from a corner. All those billions spent assembling these squads and its like watching st mirren v Motherwell. EPL is a myth.1 point

Stop blowin smoke...you know exactly what I was talkin about. So you would prefer he ran around the block and caught up on his stamp collection as opposed to playing non SPL 'level' competition? Because that would be preferred. You're a confusing one. I'm done here.1 point

Oh, now you want to talk about fitness. Quite different from match sharpness. It is quite a surprise to discover this. No really, it is.1 point
