Having watched some highlights from yesterday, I am wondering why the Aberdeen goal was allowed to stand? Lopes clearly dives to try and get a penalty, but ref waves play on and Aberdeen score. Game should have been stopped, Lopes booked and Rangers awarded a free-kick. Highlights also showed how good our forward play was, especially at the goals. Also, what a tackle from King on Lopes (on halfway line) when he tried to breakaway.4 points

Incompetence, yes but you'd expect that in Sturgeon's Empire. It's what the incompetence was layered on top of that concerns me more. Do you really believe this long, complex and sordid affair evolved merely by virtue of incompetence at every single step? I think that would require a level of consistency and coincidence that hardly fits with incompetence alone.3 points

The challenge is to do what they did yesterday on a consistent basis for the rest of the season. One swallow doesn't make a summer3 points

The failure here was the inability to prove what that wrong 'un had been up to.2 points

To summarise: we need to do lots of stuff that we can't afford to do, so we'll just have to accept second best.2 points

Really enjoyed the game. Lots of skill, pace and aggression in their play. Hope we see Sands and Tillman in these positions in the future.2 points

There's no end of things that should be but, a full ten years down the line, it must be clear by now that accountability isn't something that's ever going to escape from the shadows of this farce.1 point

Surely B Team in the lowland league does this? Could argue that even that level is too low for our youngsters.1 point

he also shrugged off Tav late in the game only for king to tackle him superbly.1 point

There has been more failures than that. And the group involved are set to make even more money due to these legal proceedings. Is it incompetence or is there something more sinister. My thoughts are the latter. These individuals have profited greatly from what happened to our club in 2012 and continue to do so for their involvement. Both from running the club into the ground syphoning out money when in charge and now from this ‘botched’ legal case. Or perhaps payments for services rendered.1 point

Both are young players who my we should be able to make a decent profit on when we sell them1 point

The whole investigation and prosecutions were botched. The City of London police should have been involved as they’re more experienced in this sort of crime. Polis Alba out of their depth1 point

Didn't Gio say replacing Davies was more of a precaution? We'll see on Tuesday I suppose. Yilmaz look good for the short time he was on the pitch, but I thought Borna played well when he replaced Yilmaz.1 point

Yilmaz and Davies never got a proper pre season with us. Came in quite late and had to get up to speed quickly. I know it’s probably a bit of a lost point considering our injury record but players who come in on time for a full pre season would be better prepared fitness wise (at least that’s the theory)1 point

Why the welcome difference yesterday ? - Gio - Players - Aberdeen tactics and gobshite manager - combination of above I think Gio got the team right and for a change, the players were up for it and showed character after going behind. As with Hearts at Tynecastle, having more space to play into allowed our creative players do stuff. Breathing space for Gio All out attack against Ajax, given we are struggling for defenders 😃1 point

I disagree with your sentiment. The banner is shameful and quite offensive but unless it's actually breaking decency laws I think fans should be free to display what they want. It reflects on them, not us/me. There's enough censorship around as it is.1 point

Let's be honest, if we'd dropped points today the anger would have been fairly volcanic but almost no one would be expressing undue surprise. That was such an important win today - not just because it gives us three points and keeps us in touch but because after recent poor results another defeat would have thrown the club into compete disarray. A decent win provides some breathing space and gives everyone some hope that things might yet improve.1 point

Most of the more negative predictions were we were in for another tough watch, like Livi and Dundee, which was understandable. Never saw anyone predicting a heavy defeat. Much better today. More of that, please.1 point

After today's stupendous display why not go along to Ibrox on Tuesday to watch Rangers rout Ajax, ah it's sold out you say! We have a few spares in the Govan Rear section 5 level with the centre circle, can be configured to suit as adult, concessions or juveniles and can seat multiples together or just singles. All face value.1 point

I’m a Gio critic but if anyone actually did predict a heavy defeat to the SPFL dross like Aberdeen they need their heads checked.1 point

It's clear to me they both read this forum because they were both excellent today, particularly Sands who I thought looked every inch a midfielder we can use, before looking composed and comfortable as a central defender. I wonder if he can handle fullback too?1 point

I love VAR. Imagine the Referee missing that, though? He's palmed it away like a beach ball!1 point

Tillman is perfect for the number 10 position, still surprised a lot of people don’t see that. He just needs experience and a decent team around him.1 point

Kemar Roofe is IMHO the most lethal striker we have at Ibrox, even though Colak is now running him close. Alfredo seriously needs to get himself back to fitness and sharpness - yet is a totally different sort of striker. Like Colak, Roofe is primarily a true centre-forward and really mean in the box. Whatever the injuries are (the current one is seemingly not a recurrence of his previous), he sure doesn't like being sidelined. And I might be mistaken, but I would assume that insurances cover most of his costs while he's injured? Wee reminder ...1 point

Squad had too many old and chronically injured that needed managed and liable to miss a lot of minutes. Squad mgmt was awful. It was basically set-up to fail. Not hindsight. I said it before the season began. It was obvious.1 point

He has stripped 15 million off the value of Kamara alone. 10 million to get rid is peanuts in reality. the flip side could easily be 100 million.1 point

One year on from his passing, much has happened since we lost Walter and I'm delighted to hear of this statue commission for a modern day legend. Such impressive leaders are difficult to replace so should always be remembered.1 point
