  1. He did it out of coorseness. He’s lived too long in the north-east. Time he moved to the Borders, a more civilised region.

  2. Defensive frailties still there. Could have been 3-3. Even better, could have been 6-3. The spoilt child doing the bbc commentary shrieked at the third goal: “Rangers have won the battle - but they’ve lost the war - we all know that.” Expect he cried himself to sleep last night.

  5. It might not be as strong as they think, but it's stronger than ours, way stronger. I did enjoy yesterday but one swallow doesn't a summer make, especially when it's a "meaningless" game. We need quality signings in the summer as they will improve their squad and will not have CL qualifiers to negotiate early in the season. Typically at Rangers, at the start of next season MB will be one defeat away from a crisis and calls for his head. Heck some want him gone now.

  6. Thing is with Tav, he is told to play forward in an attacking way, so when he does it is up to his team mates to cover him, if you want a full back to just defend then it takes away his attacking prowess. So if you want a full back to just defend then fine, but you can't have both!.

  7. Anybody who has anything to do with that vile outfit - players, coaches, physios, administrators, pr men, executives, consultants, board members, shareholders, supporters, stewards, etc, etc- is complicit in decades of pederasty, and is beneath contempt.

  8. Cantwell undisputedly MOTM, and anyone that voted otherwise is clearly not right in the head.

  9. I keep moaning about our players being too nice but yesterday I noticed us being a bit more niggly with them, particularly stopping them taking their quick throw ins and set-pieces. Bit late but hopefully that continues. Treat Paedo FC with nothing but contempt.

  10. As far as I can see, the fat okker should sign players to provide him with a Plan B, which he doesn't seem to have. I suspect, however, that he will double down on his one system and game plan, because it is successful against jobbers in Scotland and shit- the-bed managers like, oh, say, McInnes. This, if I am right, is a Good Thing. Yesterday looked like we had had well-spent time on the training field, for a change, and we carried no passengers, ditto. New signings to have a bit of speed, please, and attitude, along with decent skill level, and tactical awareness.

  11. I was very tempted to vote for Lundstram, who I thought had an excellent game. He has gone through an appalling loss of form this season but to his huge credit he's emerged at the other side to regain everything he lost. That said, he was part of the most solid midfield we've fielded in a while and that no doubt helped.

  12. They were never getting anything from this game. The next two are more important. Hopefully they'll get enough against Wolves and Bournemouth. Good to see Patterson playing regularly now.

  13. Had we a fantastic header of the ball, like Prso or Derek Johnstone, Tav an BB would have an incredible amount of assits, but we don't.

  15. Plenty of great performances but Cantwell was the best player on the pitch by a long way.

  16. Beats me but I can recall a conversation with the then Nottingham Forrest scout and him telling me a story of Clough at Derby spending a lot of his board’s money on a full back only to see the full back up the field like a winger Clough not being very happy pulled him and explained that if he wanted a winger he’d have bought a fucking winger and not a full back and explained to him his job title it never happened again and said full back went on to an excellent career

  17. So not a huge sample size then and largely in a campaign where we were overwhelmed. Wonder of the same stats are available for the EL?

  19. There's usually a price to pay for trying to arrange a team around the needs of one player. I've a feeling that's the situation at Liverpool and would be the case if we moved Tavernier into an attacking midfield role.

  21. Their subs did FA. The game was won and a clean sheet was important psychologically IMO.

  22. We played with a defence that had 3 players who haven't totalled 10 league starts between them this season. With that in mind, they did well and ended up with a clean sheet. Our first against them this season I may add.

  25. I think mostly the quality of the castore stuff is poor and in this day and age when Amazon can get you the most rare random things known to man in 24 hours castores logistics take well over a week in my experience. It’s just bad overall.

  26. I thought the Puma, and Hummel jerseys were way shittier. Although, I am definitely not a fan of the 'winged crotch' (once you see it...) logo that they put huge on everything...huge. Fear the bulge! I purchased a collared shirt. The Mrs--"You look like Euro trash." Yeap. Sure did.

  28. That has happened at least once before. I'm sure he had to stop taking corner kicks for a while because he was unable to get the ball beyond the near post.

  30. The team manned up yesterday, at long last, and most players did their jobs, sufficiently well to see off fhilth FC. Cantwell, however, was outstanding.

  31. There was a couple of months before the world cup where he seemed unable to put in a decent cross, match after match, which makes his nomination as POTY baffling. His crossing last season was far superior.

  32. "the sooky, sooky Rangers orientated Scottish football media". Tam 'the Token' Cowan has just uttered the above in reaction to the story of Sky Sports, Elidh Barbour closing the show yesterday be saying, "that is the last old firm game of the season and Rangers fans have the close season bragging rights". Roger Mitchell(remember him) led ra outraged Yahoo charge demanding Sky sack her because his green'n'grey hooped heroes are about to secure another Treble and, that is real bragging rights. Token Tam supposed Elidh was reading an auto cue or, was anxious to remain within, "the sooky, sooky Rangers orientated Scottish football media". Tam is the very epitome of the sooky, sooky Rangers orientated Scottish football media. He moonlights on PLZ Soccer as 'the Token'. Former Radio Snyde frontman, Peter(M'Guire)Martin founded PLZ Soccer after being sacked by Snyde. He and ra Bhoy in Corduroy were ruminating on the Thursday evening of the 2010 General Election, speculating on how the then Scottish managers would cast their vote? The show broadcast between 18.00hrs and 20.00hrs when the polls were open. As we know, broadcast laws do NOT allow political speculation during the period polling booths are open(06.00hrs-22.00hrs). Peter McGuire hail hails from Newarthill, he changed his name to Martin because of anti-RC prejudice when he began in journalism. His first decade was spent in Edinburgh in the Hootsman grouping and Radio Forth. Meanwhile back in the west, he was hosting ra Sellik View roadshow. Paul Cooney formalised the gig bringing him on to Radio Snyde. After 15 years or so and his sacking he founded PLZ Soccer - Peter, Linzi and, Zoe - names of himself, wife and, daughter. It is just another Sellik supporters Podcast on YouTube. The main participants for the decade have been : Peter Martin - Sellik fanatic Tam McManus - Sellik fanatic Hugh MacDonald - Sellik fanatic Alison McConnell - Sellik fanatic Alan Rough - played for Sellik Tam Cowan - the Token. Peter's bye-line is you will always receive an opinion from PLZ which interpretated is you will always receive a Sellik supporting opinion from PLZ. Just last week, PLZ banged on about the unique situation of Rangers not conceding a league penalty at Ibrox this season. Tam McManus was spluttering that the situation was an impossibility with the rest nodding sagely. A Scottish club has already gone throughout a league season twice before without conceding a home penalty - the same club; Sellik did it as recently as season 2014-15. Anyways, Tam the Token moves the show on to 'Well centre forward, Kevin van Veen's future. We are told he is leaving the claret and amber this coming close season and Tam wonders on the valuation? He goes around the panel of RAB Cosgrove and Journo, Alan Pattullo. RAB declares the Dutchman to be top end English Championship class and worthy of a £6.5million bid. Pattollo is more conservative in his £1.5 million valuation. As we know, RAB hates to be portrayed as lazy and ignorant; thus he comes back with, "my valuation is based upon the Morelos calculator". Of course the sooky sooky Rangers orientated Scottish football media within PQ rushed to inform RAB that the valuation of Morelos was based upon his 29 European goals for Rangers? How many Euro goals has van Veen notched RAB- petty and ill informed. Surely, it is time for RAB and Tam to expose any members of the Lap-Top Loyal RSC lurking within PQ corridors?

  33. I also thought that was good game management. The game was won and Celtic couldn't create anything due to our shape.

  37. Nope. He's far too ponderous on the ball. This results in losing possession and momentum when attacking. He's undoubtedly skillful but it's time to forget Tillman IMO. Especially at the price being talked about.

  39. The Tav thing is part of the bigger picture - it's not just a dig at him. We need change because we're not winning the big games. We need change because we're too nice. Tav's a part of the 2nd best culture.

  41. Honestly, I would love that. We have nothing to play for apart from learning how some of our 'future star' can handle the occasion, or at least for those individuals to learn something about themselves. I use the term 'future stars' loosely, of course.
