Did a little bit of maths and looked at Dessers' last 3 clubs and his numbers per 90, which I think is probably more like real terms for strikers. Goals p90 at Genk: 0.70 - 11 in 43 Goals p90 at Feyenoord - 0.92 - 20 in 41 Goals p90 at Cremonese - 0.36 - 7 in 29 To be honest, I didn't think it would be that good and that's not counting his earlier clubs in Utrecht and Breda where he was prolific or his assists as well. He could be a decent player for us, maybe Beale knows what he's doing.3 points

West ham spent 380 million building that team. Every other team they played spent 279 million combined. Well done to the plucky little hammers eh?3 points

That last minute goal saved their result as they were the poorer team. As for their fans the drinks ban in UK stadiums proves correct.2 points

Genk - Good team in their league. Feyenoord - Good team in their league. Cremonese - Sh*t team in their league. Simples.1 point

To get much out of these numbers you’d really have to understand the quality of the wider team around him at each club.1 point

He'd be daft not to. Talk is Spurs want to play hardball over a fee. Why would a club pay 100 million + for him now when they can get him on a free next year and just give him a massive sign on fee and massive wages.1 point

Forgot about him. Did all right before leading to expectations of competency but he performed badly. Very good example of flopping.1 point

Player of the Season: Tavernier Biggest Flop: Matondo - fights off strong competition from Yilmaz here. Most Improved: nobody Unsung Hero: Goldson Best Signing: Cantwell. Although he has yet to achieve anything of importance he is helping many to cope.1 point

Player of the Season - Goldson (what a boost he gave us when he re-signed, and it was only Souttar's return to fitness that plugged the gap properly when he was out) Biggest Flop - Roofe (so much promise, yet so often strains his vagina) Most Improved - Barisic Unsung Hero - Tav (purely because I think he gets a lot of unfair criticism from some) Best Signing - Cantwell1 point

It says we're guaranteed a spot, but then we have to improve to give ourselves a chance of remaining there?1 point

I can see that with Matondo. For the money, he's not done much, until very recently. I thought Tavernier would be picked for unsung hero. Criticised, but ever present.1 point

I disagree. Beating teams like Viborg, Gent, AZ and Fiorentina should be fairly straightforward with West Ham's budget.1 point
