Very disappointed to see a bottle thrown on to the pitch. Utter madness.4 points

Simply outplayed by much better players , it’s not rocket science at this level , this team spent a fortune to top up the very good players they already had , We have players on frees and on their last legs , we can expect no more or no less . When this team breaks up as it surely looks like it will , we should build it around Hagi .3 points

Fucking idiot, I hope he is found and banned from attending Ibrox!.3 points

Agreed Ian - to come through the qualifiers, 2nd on what was a CL quality group and then to beat Braga home and away. Fantastic achievement in Europe this season.3 points

Polster cost us the 3rd goal and gave it away needlessly a few times. Hardly covered himself in glory when he came on. Tavernier didn’t do much wrong tonight, at least defensively. And offensively didn’t get much of a chance. But some just have this want to throw him under the bus when it is unnecessary.2 points
-
Not sure how they can claim it though... surely would need to be mathematically impossible to be caught before that was even considered.2 points
-
Agreed. Yes, some/most didn't do themselves justice tonight but, over the piece, they didn't let us down. We really need someone to lift their heads. We still see glimpses but confidence has gone. Someone needs to fix this.2 points

Morelos was again off form in key areas but no-one can question his effort. Some of his link play from deeper areas was good as well. As for Kent, well he certainly looked for the ball but he didn't show anywhere enough quality on it so I'm not sure how we can differentiate between him and others. However, like I say there's no point going through everyone, let's take the positives from the game and move to Sunday.2 points

Simple as that. We should be proud of the teams performances in Europe.2 points

Fair result. Pass marks for Kamberi, Hagi, Kent. Deep negatives for Davis, Aribo, Morelos. The rest merely ineffective. Season over, some highs, too many lows. Too many quitters, not enough warriors. Let’s hope we all survive to see a better Rangers next season.2 points

I don't think many fans really believed we would win this match/tie! different class of quality are Leverkusen2 points

Jack is head and shoulders above the rest of our midfield. The sooner he’s made captain and we build a new midfield around him the better.2 points

Mark my words, right here; if they win on Sunday they will do everything they can to claim the title. I also wonder why we are waiting until Monday for the ban to take effect? What's wrong with tomorrow? However, if we win on Sunday it makes it very difficult for them to claim it as we can show we were still in it for the winning! Therefore, we win on Sunday, the season is canx, they go into a meltdown the lines of which we have never seen and the worldwide Masonic COVIC-19 conspiracy has been successful....WATP! Although, I was enjoying Europe?2 points

Best just to cancel the whole season and start again next season if this virus is gone2 points

Tempted to start waffling on about much needed time on the training pitch. The truth is that I'm just hoping for an arrangement that preserves sporting integrity while maximizing distress for Celtic supporters.2 points

And what about the bottom end? Hearts and Hamilton declared relegated within a few points of those above and 8 games remaining?2 points

The way we played in the past few matches behind closed doors and no televised transmission would be a God send2 points

It is ludicrous that they are doing so and being allowed to,but that's football for you. As much as I have paid my ticket I have decided to watch it at home because traveling like sardines on the subway puts me too close to other people and having had pneumonia last year and suffer from diabetes type two I would rather err on the safe side as I am 70 in a couple of months.2 points

Not throwing any players under the bus tonight. Maybe some of players struggled as they were up against far superior players? None of players hid tonight, they were just up against class opposition They were a better team than us, had better players than us and that showed tonight. However, let's reflect on a wonderful European campaign where we have put Rangers back on the map and made the club some much needed money.1 point

I actually thought Kamara did well in spells and was one of the better performers when we came back into it.1 point

What bothers me most about games like these is that quite a few of our players never reached their of standard, form and level of ability - AGAIN. That was as dire a show from our midfield as we had this year, headless chickens, missplaced passes, completely devoid of quick-thinking, never mind quick passing. And all that taking the standard of opposition into account. So much simply went wrong without an pressure or because people were too hasty in letting someone else have the ball despite having acres of space in front of them and/or the recipient of the ball being covered. Staggering stuff ... in all the wrong ways. If there was one chance where we might have hurt Leverkusen, it was quick counter attacks via slick and precise passing. We had but ONE quick player on the park in Kent, who like the rest of the midfielders has acquired a first touch of an elk in 2020. It got better with Kamberi and Hagi, who were seemingly rested for an Old Firm game of virtually no consequence. I fear that Tavernier, with that one good cross, might have got enough credit to get a start on Sunday ... man, he has been dreadful for ages now and gets in ahead of Polster or even Patterson.1 point

Not just about the title though. Relegation issues too if fixtures are suspended should hertz get relegated? fun ‘n’ games await.hope our board are up for this1 point

Bet you there was more than one with bottles in the area it came from but only one idiotic enough to throw his,ah well punishment next season no doubt.1 point

Correct, no point in slagging any of the players tonight as they have done us proud in Europe.1 point

I would rather say first European loss at home since our return to Europe.1 point

Just not good enough I'm afraid. It's OK standing off so-called better teams but, we're at home which is supposed to be an advantage so surely the press could be a bit more organised and the players at least show some aggression. No issue with keeping things tight initially but we have to open up at some point in the tie, so we're as well doing it with 45,000+ fans behind us. Instead, we're too soft in the tackle and losing the ball far too easily when we do win it, usually because we're taking far, far too long to pass meaning players have already made runs elsewhere. That doesn't help the fans (who tried their best by the way) create any sort of atmosphere like the manager spoke of pre-match. Should (hopefully) be better in the second half as I can't see Gerrard settling for this meek sh!te now we're 0-1 down.1 point

I hate to be "that guy" but it's just a glorified friendly tonight. Strange feel about it?1 point

And there must be no season extension just like 2008.....after all we’ve booked a Japanese end of season tour ???? That ok with you Mr Liewell ? ????1 point

Just returned from Mallorca, surprised our next two home games are going ahead. Last week, Real Mallorca won away, first time in several months. This Sunday's home game is against Barca, beginning of the week, all comment based on Mallorca charging 140 Euros for a ticket. Lots of regulars unable to obtain or pay such a charge. Yesterday, the match was officially postponed because of coronavirus.1 point

If recent form is anything to go by it's hard to justify starting Morelos. He's slowed up a lot and pace (or lack of it) will be important. I'd also rather see Kamara starting than Davis.1 point

Goes back to the ot then . Surely null and void is genuinely the only way ahead.1 point

This is great news for the club. One of the best in many a year. Elfideldo will have seen more of him than I but I have seen Leon off and on since he was about 8 when my own kid played against him just prior to him signing for the club (was previously at Barrhead BC). Very humble young man with great desire, great physique and has a very bright future in the game in my opinion. Kevin Thomson told me last year that Leon "has everything to make it to the top of the game". Had the pleasure to speak to him for a few minutes when he trained with Kevin in January along with my son. I also heard, from a very good source, that Man U said Leon was "the best of his age group in the whole of Europe". Here's hoping we see him continue to be involved around the senior team and, hopefully, make an appearance or two before the season is out. Signed till 20221 point

Our spell in the lower leagues was a chance missed for sure. And, even though I would agree with you regards being poorer than Celtic in terms of youths making the first team, I would contend that our top league hiatus helped them with that because the league title was never in any doubt - they could afford to bring in 3, 4 or 5 youths because they were always going to win the league by a landslide. The question would be how many of their youths have made the step up since we returned to the top flight - and I don't think they are in much better shape than us in all honesty.1 point

Godsake keep him as long as possible and have a watertight moving-on clause inserted into his erm..contract.1 point

Right there is the saddest statement I think I have ever heard about Rangers.1 point

While I think they'll edge it over the two legs, it'll be closer that it seems. They're a counter-pressing and counter-attacking side; they do well when teams open up, but they do concede a lot of goals. We're better when we defend in a deep block and counter, which is where most of our European goals are from.1 point

Good game to watch last night a game of two goalkeepers one played well the other had a night he would rather forget.1 point

The more this develops the more certain I am that this season, both domestically and internationally, will not be finished. All it will take is a couple of players to have symptoms and they have to self-isolate, forcing those matches to be postponed. The backlog and lack of catch up dates will force all competitions to be abandoned. There is no way sport should be proceeding with these athletes, together with staff, officials, their families, all being put at risk just to fulfill a fixture. If some sides are weakened, for the sake of sporting integrity, the 2019-20 season has to be abandoned with no champions, relegation, playoffs etc. We rip this season up and start again when it is safe to do so in the second half of 2020. Sport is not more important than life, especially when we are trailing in the league and out the cup. Cheerio to 9IAR......1 point

No Bill!..... Sorry but the season should be null and void. It's the only logical solution as nobody can predict the future. The fact that Timmy would be in a meltdown would be box office! Also, the idea there would be pressure on social services, the likes of which we have never seen, would be a wonderful added bonus???1 point
