It’s amazing that it’s only three years ago we were being humiliated by Progres and the infamous bush conversation with Pedro.... to the point that we now are somewhat underwhelmed by a very comfortable 3-0 home win against an historically difficult domestic opponent..... How times have changed. Our Board and management team deserve great credit for the distance travelled..., but the journey is still not complete... stay focused and clinical for 10 months please ??4 points

Ok I was that soldier! I know scoring and having an assist normally gives you MoM but I couldn't take my eyes off Jack - everything we did went through him and his number of touches was amazing. Always passing forward too- he even was about to poke a great through ball at one point but the ref got in the way.3 points

We never lost the league playing against Separate Entity FC, it was all the other teams, we need to keep beating them.3 points

My first look at RTV this season and I was mightily impressed by how much more professional it is now with pundits on the pitch for example. McCann's punditry was especially good I thought. Getting Tyldesley was some coup though I used to hate his England bias.3 points

I thought Kamara had a good game last night (as did Jack). CT even mentioned him as a possible MOTM. Correct tho, both do little spectacular but are solid and crucial in the way we play (ball recycling, covering defenders when they go forward). Davis and Arfield do not offer the same when deployed there emphasising the requirement to strengthen in that particular department.3 points

If we can get 11 points in front , the pressure on them to not slip up at all will be incredible , given the pressure they are already under to even get into the C/L , we need to press this home , next 2 games are massive , the fact that there are no fans will imho help us .3 points

I was tempted to vote for Jack or Kamara and it wouldn’t have been a slip of the finger if I had. For some reason you’ve made it clear time and again you don’t like Jack but why make a point of bad mouthing him instead of just praising someone else?2 points

They have used, basically, that idea before when we saw the tragedy of Phil O Donnell's death2 points

Our Scottish nazi “government” balls it up yet again, ably assisted by our football authorities. The most insane measures being brought in to ensure Dolly and the Bheasts get off Scot-free and they somehow manage to take it out on the rest of football who have done absolutely nothing wrong.2 points

You wouldn't be saying that if they had a full strength team and won the league - you would be wishing they had sold their better players and replaced with inferior players And of course it is winning - nobody looks at the league table and goes "They didnt really win it because the other team werent as strong"2 points

So sanctions on players not clubs... cop-out2 points

Apparently Ajeti didn't have a shot on target during his whole time at West Ham.2 points

Mclean is a good player. We will do well to attract and afford him.2 points

In my opinion, there's no doubt that we require a leader in the centre of the park. Someone who can play football, a good tackler but more importantly, can gee up his colleagues. Without someone like that, I think we'll struggle to win the league. The weirdest thing is that's exactly the sort of player Steven Gerrard was.2 points

With the likes of Docherty and McCrorie likely to move on it puts even more emphasis on bringing in another midfielder. Feel we need something different - more of a physical presence to complement the guys that are there.2 points

But, but but.. we don't need 2 DMs against diddy teams!2 points

Changing half the outfield players in the second half is bound to have an impact on performance and cohesion but it was telling how we started to wobble after the Jack-Kamara partnership was disrupted in midfield. They might not contribute the spectacular but Jack in particular plays a massive role in controlling and cycling the ball.2 points

Look at the state of that; languishing in 21st place... pretty much out of the title race already.2 points

Another successful evening for RTV - production not as slick as Sunday's but a decent view again. Tanner was OK as presenter (Emma Dodds was better), Neil McCann, Alex Rae and Shelley Kerr offered very good analysis and CT and KT excellent in commentary. Can't wait until Souness and Walter make an appearance. Still not a patch on being there tho ?2 points

I'll take unexciting, run of the mill, could do better, 3-0 home wins every day of the week ?2 points

Oh come on folks, 3 wins, 8 scored, 0 conceded, top of the league, players getting match time. Tough, tough audience.2 points

I hate every Scottish club who voted us out of the top league during our troubles, however any fight against SFA/SPFL I will back1 point

Absolutely zero chance that Celtic get punished there Cammy. If anything it will be a “UEFA-style” £10k rap on the knuckles just so they can say they punished it. its lunacy.1 point

Winning the league is all that matters this season. I couldn't care less how we do it.1 point

I can't imagine why when they have 30 million pound man Ajer who AC Milan are desperate to sign and Julie Anne who the papers are telling us Napoli are after.1 point

I think McLean fits in nicely. He tends to play as the more advanced of the '2', in a 4-2-3-1. Despite playing in a deeper role, he has an attacking intent, I think. He won't get bullied and will drive us forward.1 point

The problem with the tired old “we don’t need 2 DM’s” line is that there is nothing wrong with 2 DM’s at least one of them is playing vertical passes. I’d rather have 2 DM’s playing vertical passes than someone playing further forward (so not a DM) who goes sideways or backwards1 point

Arfield played his best football at Rangers as a number 10 and not as a centre mid. It is a bit unfortunate that he is only getting to play in a position that isn't his best.1 point

We were crap before Barisic took that free kick. Gerrard seemed to ignore that.1 point

Kamara was solid, again. He's so much better when he keeps is simple: covering, winning the ball, passing it on. He has a good understanding of space and angles too: he's movement to receive a pass is underrated. I would sometimes like more vertical passes into the forwards, though.1 point

Barisic was superb, contributing a goal and a wonderful assist. I thought Helander was very good when he came on, making a couple of important covering tackles. Kent was lively. Aribo less so, but was good in parts and, again, picks up another goal. For me, it has to be Barisic.1 point

Pleased with the result but also happy to see the manager criticise his players after what was a poor overall performance. It's easy to over-analyse games in today's 24 hour social media cauldron but we need to improve ahead of tougher challenges on the way. Yes, we move the ball very well at times but not often enough and, yesterday, we were far too passive after losing the ball. Second half was always going to be a bit of a write-off given Roofe is clearly a few weeks away from sharpness and Itten still working on his understanding with those around him but I was disappointed in the work-rate of guys like Davis and Arfield who didn't really work their way into the game at all. Just goes to show the pressure on these players. Anywhere else a 3-0 home win with two top drawer goals would have fans purring but demands are extra high at Ibrox and rightly so with such an important season ahead.1 point

I don’t agree. He can play in the 10 because he is good enough to adapt but it’s not his natural position. He is excellent on the right side of the midfield three, providing creativity from a deeper position. His ball winning and ball retention are excellent too and we get more out of him there. That’s where the second goal game from yesterday, Aribo cleverly finding Hagi from that position.1 point

Even better. If we just keep winning even if they win that game following ours with Killie then they're still under the pressure of being 8 behind a team coasting and maybe even still not conceding. They have never been under such pressure. They will be away to Dundee United following our game at home to Killie. DU are a side looking to make a statement of we're back and taking something from them would be such a statement. They're certainly currently under more pressure than we are. And that's an unexpected turn of events. All the talk pre season was around the massive pressure Rangers would be under.1 point

Fair play...very true. I think it is gonna come down to 'get it where you fit in' with Mr Hagi. Unless his game picks up he may begin to see some bench time anyway. He might make the team more money that way. Meh.1 point

The problem, and it’s a good one to have, is that Aribo also seems to be better suited in the “10”. Aribo has started the season better and deserves a run there.1 point

The Scottish press have identified him (on page 23) as a 'football fan'.1 point

A win is a win and to score 3 goals is always pleasing, but a little disappointed we just let the game fritter away. In the manager’s defence, Livingstone away is one of the toughest games of the season and it is likely they decided to take it easy.1 point
