Pacific Quay Dubai-ety? It's early Sunday afternoon; party streamers adorn the corridors and the usual suspects pull on their party hats. Rangers have drawn at Fir Park and well being is in the ambience. Well's new manager, Graham Alexander has elevated emotions to immense well being, Itten's equaliser was offside. The acclaimed Claret and Amber CyberNats have struck again, briefing Alexander in the ten minutes intervening between the Referee's whistle and Sky Sports interview. Andrew Wilson was sated. As always, the PQ conclusion was delivered by Michael the Mouth. Lounging on the Sportscene settee wearing the big white sannies and a grin he condescended, "it was offside but you cannot blame an official for not seeing it". However, the glee did not endure, the streamers were pulled down, the hats removed, and the balloons deflated. Monday afternoon arrived and Neil Lennon sat down at the Presser in full John Wayne mode. Standing there, Neil levelled his weapon and squeezed the trigger on full rock'n'roll. He did not change magazines, kept firing, whilst acquiring one target after another. Pick the lead out of Andy Walker, Sky Sports, the media, the Scottish Government, Margaret Ferrier, the Scottish national team's Belgrade conga, ...... etc Amid explosions of hypocrisy and clouds of cordite, Neil stood up and left the room. I suspect for, "a little drink", it's allowed you know? There's a thing about FIBUA(Fighting in Built up Areas), all those high velocity rounds and detonations make you mutt and jeff, you cannot hear Peter's apology anymore? Chris McLaughlin reported events and took to his bed, collateral damage? Tom Anguish with party hat askew, stepped in and battered Neil. PQ Producers had lost sensory perception also, as the background murmurs of anti-Irish racism reached a crescendo. BBC Scotland's second channel, you know the one that regularly registers no viewers; has an evening news and current affairs show named, 'the Seven'. The Producer is Gerry Gay, he ensured a panel of Angela Haggerty, James Bundy(Chair of Scotland's Young Tories), and an Asian actor. Angela and James are both Sellik supporters, Angela called it out whereas James was a tad more reticent. It's Tuesday and Kaye Adams mid-morning radio show(Produced by Martin Connaghan) hosts a one hour phone-in on Neil's suppressive fire. A litany of Sellik bloggers added supporting fire and warned of continuing anti-Irish racism. It's Wednesday and the Editor of ra Sellik View has issued an apology for non publication today. Apparently, the fickle finger of Covid again? I mean, what did it have to report, photies of Dubai, Peter's apology, another two Sellik players catching Covid, Neil's rant, a meek nil-nil home draw against Livi', and Frank Cairney appearing in court again? PQ should call it out, ra Sellik View is unnecessary, BBC Scotland are keepers of ra Sellik flame.6 points

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/55730538 Neil Lennon's government agenda claim is 'appalling', says deputy first minister John Swinney Celtic manager Neil Lennon's claims of a Scottish government agenda against Celtic are "absolutely appalling," says deputy first minister John Swinney. Lennon said politics and not public health drove the decision for 16 Celtic players and staff to self-isolate after Christopher Jullien contracted Covid. Jullien, and subsequently a second player, tested positive following the club's Dubai training camp. "I'm at a loss for words," Swinney told BBC Radio's Good Morning Scotland. "I said a few weeks ago I thought it was a really bad idea that Celtic decided to go to Dubai for this trip. I didn't think it was a particularly great signal. "I have no ill will to Neil Lennon whatsoever, but I think his comments in this respect have been absolutely appalling." Yesterday it was St Johnstone responding to his incorrect comments. Today it's the Scottish Government. If Celtic have a strategy to be derided by all and sundry, it's taking shape nicely.3 points

Frank under pressure at Chelsea. I would say he took this job too early in his career and not having an experienced No.2 has hampered him.3 points

THREE Bears investor George Letham has been appointed to the board of The Rangers Football Club Ltd. Documents lodged with Companies House on Tuesday show that Letham was named as a director on January 15. TRFC Ltd is wholly owned and operated by the RIFC plc and Letham will now take a seat at the top table alongside Managing Director Stewart Robertson, Ross Wilson, the Sporting Director, James Bisgrove, Andrew Dickson and James Blair. Letham was one of the 'Three Bears' that invested in Rangers alongside Douglas Park and George Taylor as Dave King, Paul Murray and John Gilligan won control of the club in March 2015. The 63-year-old currently has a 4.33 per cent stake in RIFC plc and will now have a say in the running of the football board at Ibrox. https://www.glasgowtimes.co.uk/news/19023475.rangers-announce-appointment-light-blues-investor-onto-ibrox-board/?ref=twtrec2 points

Are you George Letham ? Just kidding mate, I know you know George and it is very much a comfort that he gets your "seal of approval"2 points

Probably more to do with Scottish football side of the club than the business side although he's more than eminently qualified in that respect. Perhaps he's reached the stage in his life where he has more time to devote to RFC than was previously the case. I understand he's had previous offers to join the board but declined. Pretty sure he wasn't a silent investor and he had input when he felt it was necessary, pity he wasn't listened to by King when he warned him re Concert Party. Definitely an asset to the board.2 points

James Blair is thankfully not a director of the company.2 points

A great appointment, glad he's finally got round to joining the board. Should be warmly welcomed by all Rangers fans. If anybody still labours under the illusion that this board are out of touch with the Bears in the street then fret no more.2 points

My old man and Grandfather attended the 1967 ECWC Final in Nuremberg. There had been a screaming match on my part, a nine year old Primary schoolboy who had attended Ibrox for the defeats of Glentoran, Borussia Dortmund, Real Zaragoza, and Slavia Sofia. My old man said my Mother had put her foot down reference attending, three days off school was unacceptable. Anyways, Father told a convincing Roger the Dodger story. The week before the final, Rangers third team played in the Combination League and were due to play Glasgow Corporation Transport at Helenvale Park in the east end. The collection of bus drivers, conductors, mechanics, .... etc faced a team of youths and first team and reserves returning from injury. Apparently, the Rangers manager trapped with Roger and wanted to see him play centre forward. Roger scored five in an 3-8 victory. Of course, the reckless transfers of Jim Forrest and Alex Willoughby in January after the Berwick debacle, left Rangers short in the striker department. In April, Scot Symon had found a solution at Helenvale. I remember watching the game at home in blurry black and white. I seem to remember the Kaiser marshalled Roger quite comfortably, but in extra time two chances fell to the big Ayrshire man, both skyed over the bar. Our failure in Nuremberg was laid at Helenvale.2 points

I've been reliably informed that Lennon walked out of his pre-match interview on Sportsound. Unfortunately, I don't think he was in scatter gun mode like Monday though.1 point

Got an email from bbc today asking me to complete a survey which I gladly did. Neither Lennon, nor indeed the Parachute Regiment have the ordnance to deliver the weight of fire that I laid down on them. Straight to their bin, of course.1 point

I just can't see the point of appointing a non-exec to an operating board. It can't be advisory, you don't appoint a director to advise another director you have already appointed to do a specific job. So it's either oversight on behalf of a senior board that he isn't part of, which wouldn't make a lot of sense, or it's in preparation for some planned transition coming down the line. I'm guessing the latter and that this is happening as part of a structural change to the operating board, with Letham perhaps taking up chairmanship of the TRFC board. Otherwise, the natural place for Letham would be on the RIFC board.1 point

Agree, maybe we can speculate that GL is perhaps now in a position to devote more of his time and expertise to Rangers in an operational and strategic capacity? If so can only be a very good thing for the club.1 point

So it looks that despite glaring evidence, the CO won`t do anything with regards to game-bans etc. as we saw with Aberdeen`s and Killie`s players and our two 7-game bans? Quite baffling how they openly corrupt the integrity of the game.1 point

Yup, he probably should have stayed at Derby another year or moved to a mid table Premier club. I dont think it can be underestimated how Gerrard has got his back room team spot on and Frank could really be done with the late great Ray Wilkins. It may actually harm him long term and he will end up back down in the Championship - thats unless he turns it round. For me he is making a huge mistake playing 4-3-3. They are screaming out for 4-5-1 (dont like to use the example) but 4-2-3-1 / 4-1-4-1 is exactly what they need. No way can Werner, Havertz and Ziyech not click.1 point

Just like John Greig though Lampard did have a wee apprenticeship at Derby. Ferguson did it the right way, East Stirlingshire, St Mirren and Aberdeen before missing out on the Big One and joining United. Even McNeill did Clyde and Aberdeen before having a go as Chief Tramp.1 point

Which they've known about for several weeks now. I get that there may be complications in that they may need to move a few fixtures around to make it work, but there is no impact on supporters regarding travel so really they have no excuses for wasting this weekend in my view.1 point

I was going to point out that the initial part of the article refers to BBC rather than BBC Scotland, but thinking about it further the BBC as a whole are complicit and London have backed the approach of their biased counterparts in Scotland and refused to investigate it, despite numerous complaints to them, including one from@ian1964.1 point

What I would give for a wee half pint in any of those establishments at this point. Even the less enlightened ones! However wee nippy’s “short sharp action” on 9 October is neither short nor sharp and shows no sign of an end in sight. How did we manage to get such incompetence running our country and our football?1 point
