I like these two signings, yet I also don't because I feel like they're Beale signings - in the sense that he's signed them because he knows them or has worked with them before - which I don't like.2 points

It's ranger_syntax. Assume he's always taking the p*ss. If he's not, it's nonsense anyway.2 points

Formations are fluid not rigid we have played a back 3 at times this season more so at ibrox during games when lundstram has slotted back in. I wouldn’t get overly excited/upset about it.2 points

Oh no. Not a back three. What will they all do against spfl jobbers?2 points

The Convenor of Glasgow City Council, Susan Aitken has arrived at the party. Her Policy Advisor, Gerry Braiden has removed the chains from the Meatloaf tribute act. Three days after events, Susan is in a grievous state of mind. Mass vandalism and outbreaks of violence in the city centre has raised her dander to a bat out of hell comment, "the actions of the supporters were beyond tolerable". I suspect Gerry gave her that line? Beyond tolerable - you took the words right out of my mouth. I know how it feels Susan. Remember, you got elected and took control of the Council. The very first thing was regeneration of the city centre, specifically Trongate and Saltmarket. You spent on average, £50,000 per retail unit on several dozen old Council owned shop spaces. Then, you had a lottery for the first dozen to receive a peppercorn rent of £1 per year for the next five years. The first name out of the hat was Gordon Archer, he wanted two units for an art exhibition space. Yep, that Gordon Archer, the one recently banned from running companies for six years because he transferred £400,000 from Lake District Biogas in the week before it went bankrupt. You know Gordon, the Hibs season ticket holder? It's beyond believable, Gordon is your husband. Get the band back into the studio and record, 'Beyond Tolerable'. Oh and Susan, you don't have to snort every line Gerry feeds you - two out of three ain't bad.2 points

Think Sterling will be a "Bassey" type signing. Will offer cover at RB and CB - looks like we'll be going to a back 3 - Sterling, Goldson and Soutar with Tav and Ridvan as wing backs.2 points

Humza Yousaf in today's Daily Retard... "Speaking about his allegiance to Celtic and being open about supporting the club as a high-profile politician, he told Clyde 1 Superscoreboard: "It does come with its challenges because I think people assume that everything you do is through the lens of being a Celtic fan. I'm not going to pretend I'm anything other than that, because what's the point?". Welcome to modern Scotland, which has become a laughing stock because of Nationalism.1 point

Not a fan of spending money on Whittaker. I’d rather spend more money to buy a quality right forward.1 point

Hahaha it is mad season. Geniunely though, let's say Leicester are willing to cut their losses on Daka due to relegation and poor form and we negotiate an option to buy of 9m rising to 12m with add ons after a year on loan it almost sound doable. Buy Nisbet in the meantime. These rumours make you think anythings possible ffs. Not sure if anyone's said anything about the latest Butland update but he supposedly spoke to the club on Tuesday and looks set to join after their cup final, I'll post the link: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-12141189/Crystal-Palace-goalkeeper-Jack-Butland-edges-nearer-joining-Rangers.html1 point

Do you not think Everton’s relegation strife is Heaven’s disapproval of the move away from Goodison? I suppose if Heaven were all that miffed, they would actually have been relegated.1 point

Sorry...cues. No one's waiting in line...especially to speak with him...OH! lol Thank you!1 point

Wee sidenote ... we stuck to the one-striker trash and our prime legend Alfredo, and ended up empty-handed for ages. We got Cedric Itten, hardly ever played him like we should have and now that he is back in Switzerland with Young Boys, he played 39 games, scored 23 goals and assisted another 12. They snatched the title, playing a 4-4-2 diamond. I know hindsight is a wonderful thing, but this one-striker thing against packed defences only works if people contribute and that one striker does his job. We were probably champions in terms of possession and chances created over the last 4 seasons ... which is as useful as keeping stats on yards thrown by American Football quarterbacks and going bananas about that, without said quarterbacks winning anything.1 point

We would only be able to have four number tens. Not happening.1 point

I've always liked a back 3 if you have guys who are willing and able to step out with the ball (Goldson springs to mind) as it usually pulls a midfielder out of position, giving you an option and space to build attacks. Otherwise it's shite.1 point

Dumbarton agree to ground share with Broomhill, our B team moving to where? https://dumbartonfootballclub.com/ground-sharing-update/1 point

I see him as primarily as cover for CB - or even a first-choice CB. It'll be a back-three before he takes Tavernier's spot.1 point

Stoke fans loved Sterling and a few Chelsea fans, including a Twitter Account (Chelsea Loan Signings or something similar) rated him as 8/10 and said he deserved a place in Chelsea's 1st team squad.1 point

Its no surprise that two clubs who have been praised for their youth products over last few years have gone down, i.e. Leicester and Soton. You can't just survive by selling your biggest assets, you need a mix. Brighton would do well to learn.1 point

Beale spoke a few times about how the club including him spotted Raskin when we played liege a few years back. 💯 down to Beale and nothing to do with Wilson who it will probably reveal in time was a useless imposter. The fact he has been gone 5 mins and we’ve got 2 signings announced and Butland supposedly on the way before the window opens speaks volumes for me.1 point

Jeff Dujon was also a handy batter, batsperson batsman though he got out in a Lord’s Test after being distracted by pigeons at short leg. Wasn’t there a pigeon at Ibrox used to fly about during the game? Wouldn’t want it distracting Sterling from his defensive duties.1 point

Doesnt work like that. They still have to report and the Scotland medical staff determine if they are injured or not. Only way to avoid it would be to make themselves unavailable for selection1 point

For a lot of players there's financial incentive in making international squads. Not only from whatever the SFA pays them but from personal sponsors and also from their club contracts. Often a player's contract will have levels (games played/cups won/European qualification etc) and making international squads is often one of them. A player who is a current full international also has a higher value than one that isn't, even if it's for a 'poorer' footballing nation like Scotland. International football is seen as a higher level of competition than domestic league football and enhances a player's transfer and salary value.* I can understand why we're nervous about two players with poor injury records playing more football when we'd prefer them to rest. I suspect both quite like playing international football, it's a different type of challenge for a player. Whatever your views on Steve Clark he's done well with Scotland and we've a reasonable chance of qualifying for a tournament, something almost every professional would like to be part of. *Some 20 or so years ago there was a scandal in Brazil when it was discovered their national team manager was getting paid by agents to give random players one cap. These were players who would normally be nowhere near the Brazil squad. These agents were then able to tout their player to European clubs as a 'Brazilian international' and command a larger fee and salary for an often very average player. One team who fell for this were from Glasgow, they bought a Brazilian international centre half to some fanfare. It turned out he was the most aptly named player of all time - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rafael_Scheidt1 point

The chart you've just shared, ranks Rangers 15th, in share of points won, so if you take away the points scored, I would agree with you. However, the chart in the OP is a direct comparison of the teams on the list, as it is ranked by points scored (contributing to the country ranking), so the question as to why we would be ahead of Real Madrid on 'points scored' is valid. I have no idea.1 point

Don’t mind Soutter playing for Scotland but Jack shouldn’t be considering it.1 point
