Borna was one of our better performers last season IMO. Gets a ton of flak for the mistakes he has made against that other mob. Depending on what his wage is he is a more than capable first choice and/or competition for Ridvan. And if Beale goes 3 at the back then he would be playing further forward naturally so the defensive side of his game would be less important. I am biased, have always liked Borna5 points

Problem with Borna is that if he's not swinging in crosses like it's going out of style he doesn't do much else for the team. It's killing our style and we need to move away from spamming crosses against a low block. Also on Dessers..for a reported 6m and at his age I'm hoping that we swerve him pronto, could be wrong obviously.4 points

The KT thing isnt true, at least in the sense they havent had formal discussions - was merely KT in an interview saying he would love to go back to the club and would take on the Academy role if offered3 points

I don't think we can do it all this year. Keeping Barasic for another year would seem to be quite a sensible option when taking other more pressing squad priorities into account.3 points

Beale could talk a preacher out of his bible. What a coup. Could this be a trainwreck? Yeah...but that is anyone. This dude, when on his game, is next level. We get a good stretch out of this cat, and it will be well worth the money. 8.5 out of 10. Stoked.3 points

For some reason we’ve become infatuated with fullbacks endlessly pumping in crosses, the vast majority of which come to nothing. I’m all for good quality crosses but we have to bring more to the table. If fullbacks can’t defend competently, I don’t care how good their crosses are. While I’m at it, why does Tav have to take every throw in and every free kick and every corner? Is no one else capable?2 points

I feel like Dessers is the least exciting striker we've been linked with. We do need more than one new striker, though.2 points

When you need that warm feeling watch this, it works for me 😚2 points

Well, Dessers looks a goalscorer on paper, 103 goals and 37 assists in 212 games, mostly with Utrecht, Genk, Feyenoord, and Breda. With Cremonese 7 goals and 2 assists in 29 games.1 point

There is a rumour that Beale wants to put his stamp on the team and will give the armband to Barišić.1 point

Also, if we're going 5-3-2, then having competition/rotation for each fullback would make sense.1 point

Bloody hell, we need to stop fielding defenders who can't defend. Barisic has run hot and cold since he joined us. You never know when the next thing will dent his fragile confidence. I probably wouldn't be selling him but I certainly wouldn't be prolonging his stay unless I knew Yilmaz was moving on.1 point

Butland added to the signed list, plus a new link to a US-Arsenal centre half, who we might get for 2m ... IN - Auston Trusty (24) - CB, US, Arsenal - contract till 6/20xx - LINK - TM Earlier this week, The Daily Mail reported that Rangers are keen on signing Trusty. The Scottish Premiership club are reportedly ready to sign the USA international defender in a £2 million transfer deal. And now Goal are reporting that Arsenal could decide to offload the 24-year-old, who spent the 2022-23 season on loan at Birmingham City in the Championship. The report, written by journalist Charles Watts, has claimed that “Arsenal will hold talks with Trusty this summer to decide what the next step is for the defender”. “Whether they cash in on him now, or opt to send him out on loan again remains to be seen,” adds the report. “But it’s highly doubtful he remains in north London next season to be a part of Arteta’s senior squad.”1 point

1. Is "lack of games" same as "check attendance record" ? I suggest not, given where he was registered to play last year (and the screenshot below seems to back that up) 2. Think Cantwell and maybe the club made the right decision on length and size of contract..... - point being, nobody knows beforehand what to expect. Do you honestly think that Butland will see out his contract if dropped ? Maybe consider that he was offered twice as much at Man U but rejected it because he wanted games. Nothing about the lad suggests "gets dropped and sees out contract". Disagree - McCrorie is already young - he is the one young keeper we should keep as competition for an experienced keeper like Butland.1 point

30 is young for a keeper. A keeper who turned down 2 or 3 times the salary to stay at his boyhood hero's. Every signing is a gamble, but it's gambles you have to take. As for McCorrie he is not a Rangers No1 (yet). The game at Easter Road showed his limitations. Keeper was one of our problem positions and we've addressed it by signing a very good, experienced and international goal keeper.1 point

I do enjoy reading some of the online overreaction to a fairly plain shirt. It's not a classic but looks decent enough.1 point
