My only guess as to why its London is that Heathrow is probably one of the most accessible airports in the world and its away from Scottish media, although I could be well off. I can't see any other reason why we would do it there.... If anybody can find out where in London specifically, I'm not too far from there, I can get the binoculars and be Gersnet's man on the ground4 points

Do you know Man City - and most other elite sides - play like this? It's a 3-2-5.3 points

Doesn't matter what you think. The board will appoint who they want and you'll just need to accept it.3 points

If I was the manager I would have said the same. I’d have at least signed some Football Manager wonderkids or something though. Not Lammers and Dessers.3 points

Friday the 13th would be more in keeping with recent appointments. 😀3 points

Poor recruitment has been our biggest problem. We are still well behind Celtic in this department .3 points

We'll be telling him he can have £5m for new signings in January. Al-Shabab will be telling him he can have £250m.2 points

We were back in 2021 but have subsequently ballsed the whole thing up.2 points

Appoint Gary Neville he knows everything about football2 points

6 - DM. (Rodri, Makelele) 8 - box-to-box, a bit further forward than a #6. (Gerrard, Lampard, DeBruyne) 9 and 10 - You know what #9 and #10 are, surely? Some coaches actually go through the full 1-11.2 points

DJ made his debut against Cowdenbeath at Ibrox, scoring twice in a 5-0 victory. I believe he was 16. Zak Lovelace made his debut against Queen of the South at Ibrox. I believe he was 16. Bailey Rice made his debut away to Livi'. I believe he was 16. Derek Ferguson made his debut in Tom Forsyth's testimonial match at Ibrox. I believe he was 15. The only other one I can think that may be a challenger is Alex O'Hara. I believe he was 16 when he made his debut against Borussia Monchengladbach at Ibrox in a 3-2 victory.2 points

Watching McCausland was like in appearance seeing a young Davie Wilson at Baileston2 points

Agree, we have spent plenty of money and spending big on wages. Just not spent it well sadly.2 points

McCausland looks promising, some really nice touches and a very good awareness of those moving around him, great to see.2 points

Apparently my source was talking crap. Apologies. I posted in good faith. Sorry again.2 points

I still retain the belief - hope - that they're not substandard, but merely under-utilised.2 points

As a vote of confidence in the heroes of Limassol, I suggest the following couldn't do any worse. Imagine the joy of not seeing Tavernier, Goldson, Barisic, Lundstram, Dessers or Lammers. Butland Devine - Souttar - Balogun - Yilmaz Raskin - Jack - Rice Sima - Roofe - McAusland1 point

I never saw the days of inside lefts and the like in real life, but the 4-4-2 days, or that of the "libero". But to speak in Rangers terms ... 6 = DM - the one and only Hemdani 8 = CM = box to box - McCall, maybe Ian Ferguson 10 = shadow striker - playmaker behind the centre forward - Laudrup; not the cool 2nd centre forward a la Hateley & McCoist 9 = that lone warrior up top - take your pick from Morelos, Colak, or any other hermit (7 &) 11 are usually wingers, but no-one talks about that these days, since we play "modern football" ...1 point

10 - Maradona, Cruyff, Platini, Baggio, Riquelme, Ozil. (There's not many pure 10s left any more - simply because teams don't use them as much.) I'm not sure the old 3-2-5 formation played with a 10. Today the '2' would be two 6s; the '5' would be two wingers, two 8s (maybe two 10s, but they are more inverted wingers, like Salah and Mane, today), and a 9. Guardiola's Man City use the 3-2-5 in attack. With them it's the 8s that move forward into the forward line.1 point

He was playing further forward before that. Raskin was one of two #8s with Lundstram as the single #6, which was why he got forward more.1 point

Rooney is a 'name'. Like Gerrard. Like Lampard. Although, the older these guys get, and the further from playing, the less their lustre, surely.1 point

I'm sure Lovelace made his debut for Millwall aged 15.1 point

And is now favourite on SKY Bet to next Rangers manager...... coincidence? Rooney to Birmingham apparently1 point

We are a club stuck in the past. 2012. 55. Seville. Forget it all and think about now and how we move forward from here.1 point
