  1. The difference? The current directors have given security for a lending facility to a financial institution in the same way as most other clubs in Scotland. The current directors have lent the club cash and taken no security. Ashley lent the club £5m and took security over Edmiston House, the Albion, auchenhowie for HIMSELF and took copyright over the club's trademarks for HIMSELF. There's a huge difference and it's nothing to do with a Traynor statement. Let me know if you're still struggling to see the difference.

  2. Just when we should have been celebrating a good win and two fantastic goals against Partick Thistle, with one finger to his lips telling the away crowd to shoosh, Josh windass changed the whole accent of post match discussion from the fantastic goals and win to his stupid gesture. If Graeme Murty is a good manager he will have given Windass a good ticking off and tell him he should have more respect to the people who pay good money to watch him come wind rain and snow and ultimately pay his wages. If Windass has any sense then he will ask to do the pre-match press conference and apologise to the supporters. Then the matter should be forgotten and entered into the realms of history and we all move on. I can't let the Thistle game go by though without another mention of the two fantastic goals which were completely different but both works of arts in their own way. The first was five quick fire passes without a Thistle player getting a sniff of the ball. The move started when Foderingham gave the ball to Bates just outside the Rangers area. He took a few strides forward and then released a fantastic pass to Candeias who knocked it around the corner as they say with the outside of his foot to Cummings. Cummings took one touch and weighted a perfect pass to Candeias who had sprinted down the right wing and in turn took a first time perfect cross to Windass who had out-sprinted the Thistle defence and side-footed it into the roof of the net. If they were playing darts it would have been a nine darter. The perfect game. The perfect goal. If the first goal was a Vincant van Gogh then the second was a crazy Salvador Dali. James Tavernier played a midfield 1-2 pass with Josh Windass. He received the ball a little behind him but controlled it and strode forward into the Thistle D and then rifled it into the roof of the net giving the Partick Thistle keeper totally no chance. The reason it was a Salvidor Dali is that Tavernier came from the left side of the field. Windass's pass was not great but the end result was a thing of beauty. A bit crazy like Dali's work On Sunday we move on to the picturesque seaside town of Ayr to play Ayr United in the fifth round of the Scottish cup. Ayr are at this moment in a footballing dogfight with Raith Rovers to be champions in league division one. They are leading the pack by one point but Raith have a game in hand. The Honest men as they are called have a far better goal difference because of their goals for, so it would seem they are a very attacking team and know where the net is. That said they have already lost thirty goals Which is higher than three of the teams around them. That is possibly good news for Rangers as it makes them a team that is not good at defending and all the noises are that they want to go toe to toe with Rangers. Lawrence Shankland and Craig Moore have been scoring a bundle of goals for Ayr so this could be the much feared banana skin if we lose our concentration and think the game is won before we enter the field. Beating us would be a fantastic scalp for them but the chairman would probably be ecstatic to get a draw and get a replay at Ibrox giving them a fantastic financial boost. Good news coming from Ibrox is that the injury problems are starting to decrease with Kenny Miller back on the bench with Bruno Alves and Ross McCrorie ready to hit the training field. Kenny Miller has not been very popular with some fans but his experience enthusiasm and work rate are second to none and does give boss Murty an added option. Murty will probably keep Foderingham on the bench and play Jak Alnwick in goals. I can't see him changing the defence although he may bring Fabio Cordoso in for Russell Martin or David Bates. Declan John went of sick on Wednesday so Lee hodson or Andy Halliday could step in to the left back position. Halliday was preffered on Wednesday so he would probably be the first choice. I would imagine that Greg Docherty will get a full game so the question is who will drop out. Jason Holt or Sean Goss are not natural defensive players and both have their strong and weak points. The golden foot of Goss or the hard work of Holt. This may be a game for a hard worker rather than a slick passer so I will go with Holt on this one. I would love to see Morelos and Cummings together in a two man attack, although it would be difficult to overlook the form of josh Windass. Candeias is also in the form of his life and is a must start for me. I think the team will be: Alnwick Tavernier Bates Cardoso Halliday Holt Docherty Candeias Windass Cummings Morelos

  3. BTW, that young lad Goss is really a find ... apart from hitting the bar: 1:1 Alfredo Morelos 31.min. -> Assist: Goss 1:2 Jason Cummings 66.min. -> Assist: Goss 1:3 Josh Windass 69.min. -> Assist: John 1:4 Alfredo Morelos 72.min. -> Assist: Murphy 1:5 Josh Windass 81.min. -> Assist: (Miller?) EDIT: Goss provided this assist too. 1:6 Jamie Murphy 89.min. -> Assist: Goss Windass should make a note in his diary telling him: if I want to become a Rangers Great, I need to perform like I did today every week. John was a constant threat down the left, Docherty grew in stature as the game went on. I was actually asking to remove him for Candeias ... just before the goals went in. Murphy a threat too all day, a bit too willing to take the ball across the place in front of the area, but thus drawing defenders out of position. Bates and Martin solid enough, Foderingham will have nightmares about the goal, but that will teach him trying to play football in condition and places such as this. After some initial problems, Morelos and Cummings look a partnership. NB: Should we really lose Morelos for silly money, can we pay some of it for Goss please?!

  4. Much better second half where we really took the game to Ayr and made the most of our good work late on as they tired.

  5. I'm still waiting on him responding to my letters... Fair enough, but you can't just judge a player in certain games. He's been brilliant today: running at players, passing and crossing well, and scoring. YOu can't ask much more than that.

  6. Fans are hypocrites. They give out pelters but get all offended when they get it back. Not in my day they didn't mate. This is a recent thing that's crept into the game. As said earlier, most of those shouting about Windass were doing so while the game was still under way. In my experience the ones with the loudest online voices are those who do plenty of speaking and the minimum of paying to attend.

  7. The guy “naked bear” Murty mentions is Eli from Mossblown, he has a health issue (blood?) that makes him overheat. Goes to all games in blue vest.

  8. Goss was excellent again. We should be making moves already to make his move permanent.

  10. The Bear in a vest, standing in the snow, was the highlight of the first half.

  13. I absolutely loved the way we were raiding forward all the game, the number of blue jerseys in the Ayr penalty area when the ball was being crossed in was impressive. You could see in the first half it wasn't quite happening and Gelling, the Bears were tripping over each other to score, the Ayr goal was a brain freeze moment for big Ford, so we'll quickly pass that over. When the plan came together in the second half it was a joy to watch, we should have scored eight goals tbh. todays system was far superior than Morelos on his own battling away, ok against better sides we might not get four or five of the players in the box so often, as we'll need to keep it tighter at the back. But that attacking spree was fantastic to see the day. The great things is as well, we have about eight players that can get forward and score tremendous goals now. Some super performances that second half, Goss, Murphy, Windass, John, Bates, Cummings and Morelos. at the back Martin kept marshalling his defence when needed, very happy Bear tonight i am.

  14. Methink's it is Amy MacDonald and Davie Weir pulling the balls out of the cups ... BTW, give us Morton at home while the Scum can have Aberdeen away. They are in a rich vein of poor form right now.

  15. I think Murphy has good effort but the end product is often disappointing. Hopefully the goal gives him a boost.

  17. So a player can’t have a good match against inferior opposition ? we shouldn’t have a MOTM because it’s Ayr ?

  18. Powerful, energetic, but I've also been impressed with his quick feet. He's also not greedy: he's knows he the supporting player, which I like.

  19. What is it with our fans 3-1 up against Ayr and their singing ftp and the Ira.

  20. I hate to say it but so far in Murphy’s Rangers career I’ve not been impressed. He just doesn’t look composed and more often than not doesn’t make the right decision. Maybe I’m just expecting too much of him but his output seems to be zero. Has he got any assists yet?

  21. HT 1-1. I think we've played well. Ayr have done nothing -- a howler from Foderingham gifted them the lead. If we continue as we are, we'll score a few more goals.

  23. Wow! Tavernier Captain. A season or two ago I would've thought that was mental, but it's almost fitting now; testament to how far he has come. Solid professional.

  25. Like I said, it wasn't strictly aimed at you; I felt you captured the attitude of those that do, whether you are one or not. This is a non-issue; I can't believe we're still discussing it.

  28. 'What is the actual purpose of the SFA and how does that relate to the SPFL and the clubs' did Liewell actually say that ? any journalist or broadcaster worth his salt would have wiped the floor with him for saying that. He doesn't know the purpose of the SFA ? Or how it relates to the SPFL who are the company who run the professional leagues ? He's sat on how many committees & boards at both ? Did he not wonder why he was there & what its purpose was ? What about the other patsys on these boards & committees ? What was their input, if any at all ? no wonder Scottish football's in the state it is. No wonder we get TV deals worth peanuts & no one wants to sponsor Scottish football except betting companies.

  31. If you have any familiarity with my posting history, you will know I’m not someone to take offence easily and I often find our support as paranoid as they are. However, gesturing to your own support is a complete joke and not something I will tolerate. Particularly from someone who ultimately is an extremely mediocre player.

  33. I see Mathew Shiels has also been selected for ROI squad as well. Tough choice, he could play for the country where the fans will hate him, hate who he plays for and boo him every time he touches the ball ......Or he could play for Ireland
