  1. Oh come on folks, 3 wins, 8 scored, 0 conceded, top of the league, players getting match time. Tough, tough audience.

  3. You literally need to take a Rangers players leg clean off for a red card

  4. Anybody else disappointed in this 2nd half? chance to go and score some more goals!

  5. It’s amazing that it’s only three years ago we were being humiliated by Progres and the infamous bush conversation with Pedro.... to the point that we now are somewhat underwhelmed by a very comfortable 3-0 home win against an historically difficult domestic opponent..... How times have changed. Our Board and management team deserve great credit for the distance travelled..., but the journey is still not complete... stay focused and clinical for 10 months please ??

  6. Pleased with 3-0 and 3 points but we really must look to getting more goals in season where goal difference may well be crucial. We scored our third with virtually the whole of the second half remaining. I thought the four substitutions at the one time did little to help us.

  7. Happy with the result, but very unhappy we never pushed for more goals

  8. I'm not really happy. It's so slow and ponderous. I feel for Itten, Roofe (not match fit, at all) - and even Hagi, even if he's not been great - because they're not being given the ball despite constantly showing for it.

  9. Was just about to have a good long moan about a less than impressive first half showing but that second goal showed we are actually awake and capable of passing quickly. Two superb goals the difference but we really have to play better than we did. OK, one good early shot aside, Saints didn't have much of a threat but we were far too ponderous in possession and too many players lacked any sort of sharpness or physical presence. But it's 2-0 so hey-ho (for now)...

  10. Team as expected really and a perfect night for a game of football. With Celtic not playing this week, it's vital we take advantage and win our games, starting with another solid victory this evening.

  11. Expect a list of punishments for breaching Covid protocal to be released by SPFL / SFA that will commence on a given date, but will NOT be acted on retrospectively. Abderdeen and Celtic will get off Scot free, Aberdeen only because of Celtics indiscretions.

  12. "Keevins" "Radio Clyde" "Daily Record"/"Sunday Mail" These are all signifiers, from which we may deduce what we are going to get. Is that so hard for people to grasp?

  13. That guy has approximately zero chance of being selected to the first team on any type of regular basis...like none. Let him go. Let Docherty go too. Same for him. Get a little palm grease (200-300K) for your effort. Silly keeping those guys around year after year for what? Next year? These guys are PLAYERS they want to play. I know this is gonna break some balls but they really don't give a good GD for who at the end of the day.

  14. ... and a face that any ref auto-forgets. Given the standard of refereeing, players of the Souness-/Keane-Greig-ilk would last for a couple of games every now and then before being suspended. *NB ... I was almost typing "a face like Brown", given how often refs don't see him, but refrained myself due to his ugliness.

  15. I would include Aribo so it is 8 players to 3 spots. I agree the problem is quality and not quantity. I think ideally you would have two Aribo type players on either side of Jack or Kamara for most SPFL games. If we could bring in one player with that kind of creativity in that position I would feel far more confident that we won't eventually succomb to the same issues against the low block again this season.

  16. Reach are significantly more than the Record and Sunday Mail, they're actually one of the biggest printers in the UK. Put simply Reach have printing capacity they need to fill and Rangers need someone to print and distribute their programmes. The contract printing side of Reach is quite separate from the newspaper publishing side, I'd be very surprised if anything changes in our current relationship with the Record and Mail (reach also own the Daily Mirror, Daily Star and Daily Express plus their Sunday equivalents and a raft of major local titles). Their CEO is a guy called Jim Mullen, from Hamilton, I've never met him but I don't think he's particularly Rangers friendly shall we say. I guess the club have weighed up the cost saving against the supporter anger and decided which is more important to them. Somethings never change.

  21. don't think anyone can really complain , totally commanding performance in ridiculous heat . Roofe and Itten getting game time as well a bonus , you can see they will both fit right into our system , Roofe obviously rusty though .

  22. Not really in all honesty Ian. Having got well ahead I’m happy we got minutes into Roofe, Itten, Davis - and to get some rest forMorelos, Aribo, Jack. Long season ahead, points in the bag, job done, we go again ?

  23. Keep the pressure on Rangers, get a 4th, get Roofe and Itten on and rest Morelos legs

  24. I think the lack of fans can be a bonus! daft maybe as the fans are brilliant and give the players great support, however a game like tonight where we are not quite at it they don't get any abuse!

  28. He doesn’t need to be exactly like Aribo, I just meant a player who can create as many goals as him.

  29. One Aribo to flit and dance his way through defences is enough. On the other side of the park I want a player who will drive his way through wind and rain and glaur and muck and the opposing midfield.

  31. I have heard that the next sell out will be of naming rights for the stadium. Ibrox no more, but..... The Trophy Centre Stadium. We'll get used to it, apparently. Oh, and the team will have to win some trophies, to avoid obvious raillery.

  32. Whoever signed off this deal needs to be sacked immediately. So out of touch with the feelings of the fans who are sick of biased negative reporting of our club from this utter scum of a rhag. This must be rescinded or a lot of the good feeling the fans have for this board will start to evaporate.

  33. I think Gerrard wants the front 3 to be pretty fluid. In as much they can play in all 3 positions during the game. Roofe would offer that with his versatility alongside Kent and Hagi.

  34. I suppose I wouldn't call him a goalscorer -- and, you're right, he does have a wingers game, in a way. His work-rate, movement off the ball, and on the ball is superb. (I'm obviously going on what I saw from Leeds Utd last season.) I get the feeling SG wants a narrow front three, where they all chip in with goals -- where we're not necessarily relying on one man to get 25+. I think in a narrow front three, Roofe offers the movement and versatility. He can score a decent amount of goals. His record in Belgium is pretty good, so I presume he'd be more than able to cope with our league. I'm not saying he's the missing piece, but he'd be a very good addition; strengthening the first-team.
