This is a discussion about Alfredo, let the arguments stand. If others can punch a hole in the argument provided, let it stand. Such discussion makes us ALL stronger. Alfie has had it hard here in Scotland. Just go on the court convictions for launching coins, bottles, spitting, coffee cups, ..... etc at him at Fir Park, Easter Road, Love Street; then the banners at Pitoddrie in Spanish proclaiming his Mother to be a mattress, ra Sellik fans wanting him prosecuted for driving away from a planned ambush in a Glasgow underground car park, the hatred of PQ because he was precocious, .......... etc. He is the best striker we have had since McCoist and, he was THE best ie 357 career goals for Rangers. Boyd has impressive stats but, he failed in Europe and Walter did not trust him against ra Sellik, I believe he notched one goal. Alfie has doubled the total against ra green'n'grey hooped horrors and, collected 28 European goals, our all time best Euro scorer. It's akin to those old soul songs, you never missed your water 'till it's gone. The very fact Alfie fcuked with Michael Stewart's head for two years and BBC Scotland gave him all the rope. Irvine Welsh wanted him cut to pieces with a machette and, fed to seagulls and, he ran past Scott Brown and slapped him on the back of his napper .......... Ah, you gotta luv him?5 points

Aye, that's exactly what it is. Us Rangers fans are a strange bunch. Player doesn't show emotion then we hate them, player clearly gets us and its "birthday card p1sh". Do you ever take a moment to think and reflect on why opposition fans hate Alfie so much? I can never work out why Rangers fans hate him though, a real mystery. We'll be a worse team without him.5 points

Can’t be easy for a young chap whose first language isn’t English to do a press conference where many of the reporters asking questions can barely speak it themselves.3 points

Morelos, is like datin a stripper. Fantastic fun when things are, but you know the crazy is just around the corner. Fredo has the crazy.3 points

The same can be said of Kent, as I have said many times. It is then on the management tactics, and fellow team mates, to expose those additional spaces.2 points

My father was very friendly with the great man , he used to stay at our house in Tarbert , Loch fyne , for years he visited us and his stories were amazing . This question about the strip was asked numerous times and always he had the same answer , he had over the years sold dozens of these strips claiming it was the one he wore , I feel so sorry for so many people who bought them. In the end he was a really sad character .2 points

Anyone who heard the audio clip that was leaked will hope he has a quick end to his career as a footballer and a life of misfortune.2 points

That is so true in both respects but other players have got to exploit the space created.2 points

Has anyone given the thought that he is now working under a manager whom he respects and can get the best out of him.His all round play has improved significantly since Beale's arrival. He will score/miss chances as all strikers do but given that he is usually two man marked opens up space for his fellow players.2 points

That tweet is basically another piss take or a complete lack of self awareness. Play a decent game and score a couple of goals in Feburary and lets forget the preceding 6 months, it is child like. If he consistently held himself to what he mentions, he would be playing in a bigger league than Scotland and we would be over 20 Million sterling better off. What he is consistent in is self induced spells of very well paid don't give a fcuk, that contribute to our inconsistency of League results. We need a centre forward who we can rely on. The manager has talked about the summer and a new centre forward. Here is hoping he gets it right.2 points

Gotta luv the daft wee bugger. He is getting back to the form that saw him become our top European scorer and a forward who can rag doll defenders for fun. If he can get back to top form, I'd happily keep him.2 points

Time to be shot down I suppose but:- Smith-----Gasgoine Beale-----Morelos Obviously quality differs but point is where a Manager can get best out of a player for whatever reason.1 point

Good luck replacing him for £1M - thats what we paid for him. He is a "package" and I think, and this is important in any discussion we have about any player, MB, understands and relies on what Alfie brings to the team and get the impression he is keen to keep Alfie. As for being unreliable, his longest absence from the team came when our former manager played Alfie when he was clearly injured leading to long lay off and argueably cost us the Europa League. However Rangers fans being Rangers fans, we wouldn't be happy if Haaland was playing up front for us.1 point

The thing is, you don't actually have to take him as a whole package and I think that is what we are considering at the moment, we don't have to take him at all. Look back at his stats, they aren't that spectacular, for the last few seasons he has barely managed to break 10 goals in the league. He's certainly not banked enough to piss around as much as he does. He might have surpassed Boyd's goal tally for his first stint, but Boyd wasn't here as long as Morelos has been? And Boyd wasn't given the luxury of being the defacto number 1 striker in that time either. If we could get the Morelos that bothers his arse and works hard then I would sign him, but he's shown too often to me that he's happy to arse around whenever he feels like it. Unreliable is the word that comes to mind, inconsistent is something else.1 point

He's done not to bad for someone who's been lazy, overweight and miserable for 50% of his time here. He is now our all time leading scorer in Europe, has passed Kris Boyds goal tally for his 1st stint at Rangers and has rag-dolled defenders all across Europe and on his day he is unplayable. He was ran into the ground by Gio who must have been the only person in Scotland who couldn't see where that was heading. I know it's if and / or buts, but if he was fit at the end of last season, we would have won the EL. The media in Scotland have painted him as the villain, away fans detest him and have racially abused him on more than one occasion. Alfie is Alfie - you need to take him as package and its no coincidence that Beale seems to get the best out of him in both his stints at Rangers. Long may that continue as he fits Beales style dar more than Colak (who I rate) ever will.1 point

It's more the fact that a player that has been lazy, overweight and miserable for 50% of his time with us has posted something about how hard he works after managing to score a goal. It's just a bit of a joke that he probably doesn't get.1 point

Tbf there have been and will continue to be players who are hugely inconsistent. My all time favourite Rangers player, Davie Cooper was very inconsistent and deserved the nickname moody blue. He didn't have the self destruct tendencies of Alfie (and others) but there were games where he was world class, other games where he was awful. Alfie gets enough stick off opposition fans without his jumping on the bandwagon when it isn't deserved ((and nothing that happened during Wednesday game, ot the aftermath deserved criticism). Alfie is Alfie and we need to live with that1 point

But, just the same as us,unless he is found guilty then he is not guilty. I don't think we want to do away with the presumption of innocence. I think he will struggle to resurrect his career though.1 point

Tbf I think Buster is simply saying the tweet is a distraction and is unimportant whatever way you choose to see it. What counts is what he does on the park and we've all seen that can be hugely inconsistent.1 point

Eric Caldow was 5' 8" That's all the proof anyone needs that lack of height doesn't restrict a fullback. Ridvan Yilmaz is 5' 9"1 point

A perfect insight into Morelos, and his mentality, was when Arfield scored the equaliser against Aberdeen. Morelos grabs the ball out of the net. I expect him to sprint back to the centre circle and chase a winner. He wants to take it with him to taunt the home fans. I'm grateful to Arfield for stopping him. It's not by chance that he looks like leaving with a single league medal.1 point

I've said this before, but I'd be keeping track of Russel Martin's progress. He's doing good things as a manager.1 point

That's true, and he has been much better lately. But he still sold the jersey with his red v Hibs when we went to 9 men and drew, just after being omitted from our massive game away at PSV for whatever reason and luckily Colak stepped up to make sure we didn't miss him. But the problem is the next Morelos brainfart is just around the corner. We have seen it all before now too many times. Hopefully its in a meaningless game that doesn't cost us anything and not say, a cup final v them.1 point

Nothing wrong with the tweet. That kind if thing is just normal with footballers these days. More important is that he is serious about working hard. Big few months ahead for him.1 point

He’s the best striker we’ve had since Ally McCoist. The stats prove this. Replacing him if he leaves would be just about impossible on our current budgets.1 point
