Raskin hasn't shown enough yet to guarantee a move to Millwall, let alone Chelsea.3 points

Two minutes in the door! Rangers star Nicolas Raskin has revealed his “ultimate dream” of playing for English Premier League giants Chelsea. The Belgian midfielder admits he decided on a move to Ibrox as it would be the best stepping stone to an eventual move to Stamford Bridge. Raskin has been one bright spark for Rangers in recent weeks amid back-to-back defeats against Celtic that leaves them facing a trophy-less season. He was one of two January signings brought in by Michael Beale alongside fellow midfielder Todd Cantwell and both have been seen as relatively successful buys during a season to forget. But, despite only four months in Glasgow, the 22-year-old isn’t planning on sticking around in Scotland for any lengthy period, with one eye already on a move south. Speaking to Brussells publication La Derniere Heure, he said: “My ultimate dream is to play in the Premier League with Chelsea. Playing in Scotland struck me as a good intermediate step. “But Rangers are still a big name in British football. Before they came in for me, I had approaches from Club Brugge and Genk. “But I think it would be a mistake for me to play for another club in Belgium, as Standard will always be the club I love most. “Other clubs were interested in me as well, but Rangers’ interest was the strongest.”2 points

Surely his ambitions are higher than mid to lower EPL teams (sorry @ChelseaBoy)2 points

Good for him. 110 million they paid for Enzo Fernandez. I’d take that for Nico2 points

To be fair to him, the interview was with a Belgian journalist and Raskin probably hasn't quite realised the nature of the goldfish bowl he's in yet. We all know foreign players who come here are thinking this anyway.2 points

I have had the pleasure of meeting him in Vegas a number of years ago (night before an Old Firm game) - he was with Calvin Harris. Very much a Rangers man and the person behind the persona is very, very different. Hes a thoroughly likeable person when you chat to him. What you see on the cameras isnt really who he is, it is more of a persona than anything. Each to their own though2 points

This season maybe, but last season was arguably my favourite season in the last 30 years. The highs we had will live with me forever. Was there one Rangers fan complaining about uninspiring instability 365 days ago? Even at the end of August, I don't recall any complaints. We had had one draw in the league due to dodgy refereeing and had incredibly qualified for the CL group stages. It was in September that the wheels started to come off. Wilson perhaps, although many of the complaints could arguably be the responsibility of the managers. I still can't see much of an argument as to why it's Robertson's fault.2 points

I dont see any harm in partnering with one of the most famous chefs in the world.2 points

I'm sure you said that in jest, but that would be a better way for all fans to experience such a partnership. Okay, you'd still have to offer the lower priced options but why not have some Gordon Ramsey match day classics in the food stalls in the concourses, and at EH for those that are willing to pay for the upgrade.2 points

Rick has simply laid out the truth, I hope those that count at the Club choose to digest it?2 points

He certainly has some previously public money to invest. As do the chaps from Duff + Phelps. With open arms, sez I.2 points

I've no doubt it's a pile of work that never goes away and perhaps it wasn't my place to raise it but the site has always felt a bit "thin" since the new platform was launched. It was only ever an opinion and the option was always there to ignore it. I think you probably agreed though and the site is certainly enhanced by the work you've done so far. I hope I'm not the only one who saw these data as a valuable and frequently visited resource. Let's hope I survive your periodic admonishments long enough to enjoy it 😂1 point

Rangers winger Ryan Kent, who is out of contract this summer, has agreed to join Fenerbahce at the end of the season after the Super Lig club offered the 26-year-old a deal earlier this week, according to reports in Turkey. (Daily Record) ... which in turn opens the door for Luis Palma: However, with Kent headed to Istanbul, the Gers are now in pole position to sign Palma with their interest becoming more serious as a result of Kent’s imminent exit. Honduran newspaper Diario La Prensa reported in its print edition on 29 April [pg 227] that the Light Blues are ready to submit a £4.4million bid for the left-sided forward. Palma’s had a good season in Thessaloniki, there’s no doubt about that. He’s scored 13 goals and supplied eight assists in 35 appearances across all competitions. He’s found the back of the net against bitter rivals PAOK and twice against Olympiakos so he hasn’t shied away from the big occasions in Greece. ... muses Ibrox News. Meanwhile regarding Tillman - STV: Malik Tillman’s loan spell at Rangers has ended through injury as boss Michael Beale revealed Alfredo Morelos and Ryan Kent have not been offered new deals. The 20-year-old attacking midfielder joined the Ibrox club on loan from German giants Bayern Munich last summer with the cinch Premiership outfit having the first option to buy with the fee reported to be around £5m. Tillman had to come off in last week’s Scottish Cup semi-final defeat by Celtic at Hampden Park which effectively ended hopes of silverware, with the hamstring injury which rules him out of the last five fixtures. Ahead of the cinch Premiership game against Aberdeen at Ibrox on Sunday, Beale said: “Unfortunately that is the end of Malik’s season. “He has got a hamstring injury, he has gone back to Bayern for them to have a look at him as well. “He has had his scan. It is a hugely sad ending to the season for him because he is obviously a fine young player and he has performed well for the club so far this season. “That (talk of permanent deal) is all still on-going in the background as well. “Me and Malik are in a great place on a personal level. “He’s been brilliant for the club and I think brilliant for me in my time here. “He’s a player I think has a really high ceiling – as high as anyone I’ve worked with in my time here at Rangers. “There’s areas of his game that at 20 years old he certainly has to brush up on but that’s why he’s come on loan. “We said we’d park the conversation until the middle of May because there’s a lot around it. We want to get to end of the season. “And Malik has got a say in this as well. Obviously the two clubs have been talking back and forth and there’s agreements between them. “But the most important person is Malik. If Malik wants to be here in Glasgow then it’s something we can make happen. “Likewise if he’s unsure… “We’d said we’d park the conversation until the middle of May and nothing has changed on that.” After the Hoops defeat Beale promised the “biggest rebuild in years” and gave a strong hint that striker Morelos and Kent, both out of contract in the summer, would depart the club. The former QPR boss said: “They have been two fantastic players for the club. “We haven’t come forward with a contract offer, both have been free to speak to other clubs for a while now. “But in terms of the next five games they are Rangers players and they will continue to be so until anything announced officially.”1 point

Well let's give him a touch of what it might be like at Chelsea leave him on the bench tomorrow1 point

I can think of many reasons not to do any of this .... just no good ones. Personally, I'd like to see some evidence that Beale isn't just conforming to the same philosophy that brought us to this situation ... maintain the status quo, don't take risks, stay loyal to misfiring players, etc. I'd like Beale to show he's his own man and puts the club before the player.1 point

Beauty of this league. Nothing to lose games by the handful. There is no danger of jeopardizing our current position in the table. CLQ/EL are there either way. Beale should be treating this last five as a dress rehearsal/evaluation. Run new formations, tactics, personnel. Give the young bucks tons of on-field time. King, Devine, Lovelace, Rice...get all them dudes on. These are 'freebies', make every minute count. I personally don't give a rat's ass if we lose every one either. As long as things are being learned.1 point

I've also met Gordon Ramsay a couple of times and from my experience everything you say about him is true. People like Ramsay always seem to attract criticism and it's usually about something trivial that has nothing to do with his/her achievements. There's something about ordinary people who achieve great success that gets under the skin of their detractors.1 point

Fair. I thought you were making a comment on the competitiveness of the league.1 point

I said a while ago (or I think I said, or at least I like to think I said) that these arrests and investigations may well be a smoke screen behind which Sturgeon, Murrell, etc will be allowed to slip away. The police had been dragging their heels in time-honoured fashion until, suddenly, there's a commotion of very visible activity with arrests, house searches, impounded evidence and so on. However, we all know that the police can only make a case for charges and whether or not there are any will be up to a CPS that has already demonstrated its malicious intent. Surely only the foolish or corrupt would ignore the likelihood of the Scottish justice system once again being victim to connivance and incompetence. We're dealing with a quasi-religious cult here and its adherents are everywhere. If and when the ringmasters are cleared, the circus will celebrate its vindication like never before.1 point
-
And it's that level of incompetence/underhandedness by the authorities that makes me fear that the current SNP investigations will come to nothing.1 point

One would hope the changes we're seeing throughout the club are because those that count are also unhappy with our progress.1 point
