The Bay of Biscay. Currently aboard a Brittany Ferry without the necessary needs of marine navigation ie cardboard funnels and painted on windows. My destination is Santander and, then a month's hurl around the Iberian peninsula. The seas is slate grey, much like the skly and tonight's conditions are predicted to be on the rough side, Bootneck conditions. Traveling down to Portsmouth on Saturday, PQ CSC navigated the guid ship, Sellik through the calmest of waters. Hands on the tiller began with Angela Haggerty on Saturday morning with Shereen Nanjiani. Then, Off the Ball had Sellik State of Mind Editor, Paul John Dykes on again. Paul John needed a ticket for the Cup final and RAB and Tam the Token facilitated the shout-out for two hours. RAB trooled Kenny Mac again, claiming he was unavailable for broadcast due to connectivity problems with the Bristol Bar. How we laughed. Sportsound had the full roll call, Chris, Tom, Paddy, Peter Grant, Kheredine, ................. etc, don't rock the boat, Ange is a real Sellik man. Sunday morning, it was Connie McLaughlan for three hours, she told us, "Humza will be gutted if Ange goes". It is the one thing about PQ, we are continually told the Sellik state of mind.5 points

OK, OK It's shit, castore are worst manufacturers we've ever had, not buying it, Ross Wilsons fault, Sack Beale and Bisgrove is a disgrace.3 points

Come on, Cammy - we need to maintain our raging demeanour even during the Summer break.3 points

Just the confirmation, apparently he supported Utd as a boy so respect to him for turning them down for good money. Pretty pleased with this one.3 points

Agreed. All roads lead to him moving on in my opinion.3 points

I don't know about that. There's got to be a limit to how much we pay someone to take him off our hands 😉3 points

Another slow news day on the sale of Kamara. I’m already concerned we might have to carry this deadweight for another year.3 points

30 is young for a keeper. A keeper who turned down 2 or 3 times the salary to stay at his boyhood hero's. Every signing is a gamble, but it's gambles you have to take. As for McCorrie he is not a Rangers No1 (yet). The game at Easter Road showed his limitations. Keeper was one of our problem positions and we've addressed it by signing a very good, experienced and international goal keeper.2 points

Let’s hope I’m proved wrong about the Jack Butland signing….. two things concern me: 1) lack of game time past 2 seasons ( as SAF would say before signing a player, check his attendance record ) 2) signing him on 4 year deal at £30k per week(?)we’re stuck with him if he loses form, gets dropped and sees out his contract. Think Matondo & you’ll get what I mean We’d have been better getting a younger keeper & battling it out with McCrorie for the number1 jersey IMO2 points
-
Maybe that's why McGregor waned in the end..not due to poor form it's just that he shrunk with old age ha.2 points

I'll end up getting it too so its pointless me saying it's great or its rubbish. Looks goods to me. As others have said - a winning Rangers team changes the shirt completely!2 points

Rangers won last match against him. Considering things under our control.2 points

This is where his agent needs to earn his corn. We don’t want him, he doesn’t want to be here, I doubt the club will play hardball over a fee.2 points

I'm reminded of a scene in a movie called Gladiator. The hero, Maximus, is concerned that Commodus, his enemy, might poison him. A friend reassures Maximus that he is safe because Commodus has to trash Maximus's name first. Postecoglou leaves with his reputation higher than it has ever been and we won't get a chance to trash it now. There is no cause for celebration.2 points

As Hall and Oates sang - he's gone, it will be a devil to replace him - Peter the Pointer Grant. Please.2 points

I am hopeful Butland will be a good signing for us. Pleased about that one.1 point

I would feel a lot warmer and fuzzier if it had resulted in a fatal injury. Ach well...1 point

There's obviously a keeper in Butland, anyone who remembers him at Birmingham City or Stoke know that he's got bags of ability. Hopefully the style of keeping that's required at Rangers will suit him better; dealing with crosses, counters, 1 big chance a game and distribution instead of just getting peppered with shots. The sitting on high wages if he flops is bogus, teams would love him down south as a no.2/3 to fill a quota..hence why Utd offered to double his wages.1 point

P*ss off Cammy. Don't you rain on my kit meltdown parade!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Apologies for over thinking the strip thing but I'm a strip nerd. I just wish our strips looked a wee bit more professional than the generic fare we get given.1 point

He reached that stage long before Morelos. He's become a complete imposter1 point

Ah, the annual kit meltdown thread(s). As I usually say, I'm not the demographic the top us aimed at, and as it doesn't affect performance on the pitch, I'm non-plused. Those who are gonna buy it will buy it, those who aren't, won't. My own personal opinion? Seen better, seen worse.1 point

I do enjoy reading some of the online overreaction to a fairly plain shirt. It's not a classic but looks decent enough.1 point

I've seen better and worse Rangers shirts. Basically, who cares - if the team wears it, so will the fans. The only thing I continue to object to is having a gambling company advertised beside a Rangers badge.1 point

A run-down of some of the strikers linked (snatched from Rangersnews) ... No fewer than 10 names have been mentioned this summer, as Rangers target a couple of strikers to firstly replace Alfredo Morelos but to beef up a lacklustre attack. Josh Maja tops list of potential new Rangers strikers Rangers love a pre-contract signing and, even if Michael Beale hinted the club might spend on a striker this summer, there’s certainly no harm in targeting one via this market. Bordeaux striker Josh Maja has been routinely linked and – out of all ten strikers – stands out as the most prominent in the Rangers transfer news. According to reports, any Ibrox move for the 24-year-old could be dependent on Bordeaux’s shaky promotion efforts. Sam Lammers: a Dutch of class? Then there was a link to to Serie A striker Sam Lammers, who is on loan at Sampdoria from Atalanta, with the big Dutch striker out of contract in Italy come the end of the season. Rangers boss Beale was in Italy earlier in the season, with plenty wondering if the 26-year-old ex-PSV hitman might be the subject of his interest. Michael Olunga: relative unknown with impressive record The last of the out-of-contract bunch is prolific Kenyan forward Michael Olunga, who has just fired Al-Duhail to the title with 29 goals in 26 games this season. The 6ft3 hitman also has an impressive record at international level, having scored 21 goals in 48 games for Kenya, and it appears we could certainly do worse despite the forward’s lesser known profile. Tasos Douvikas: bright Euro striker with burgeoning reputation Rangers will reportedly have to pay up to £6m to sign Greek striker Tasos Douvikas, who has just had an explosive season in the Eredivisie with FC Utrecht. An expensive option for sure but, at 23, the forward’s value is only likely to increase, and he continues to bang them in during his current side’s hunt for European football. Cyriel Dessers: blown hot and cold but a potential masterstroke Belgian-born Nigerian international Cyriel Dessers is another who was linked to Rangers from Serie A, the striker having just suffered relegation with new side Cremonese, for whom he scored 10 times this season. The Italians reportedly paid FC Genk around £5.5m (€6.5m) only last summer to sign the 28-year-old forward and it would surely cost Rangers if they harbour ambitions of bringing Dessers to Glasgow. Matija Frigan: untested on the big stage amid big demands Another striker from Europe being linked to Rangers is HNK Rijeka forward Matija Frigan, who has just netted 15 times in an impressive season in Croatia. The latest suggests Rangers will have to pay over £5m to sign the 20-year-old, with the forward also reportedly interesting Croatia’s biggest club Dinamo Zagreb. Petar Ratkov: affordable option amongst Rangers-linked strikers Another young striker plying his trade further east on the continent is Serbian teenager Petar Ratkov, with Rangers now routinely mentioned alongside the 14-goal forward. Rangers are said to be one of six clubs tailing Ratkov, who has also reportedly been the subject of an initial offer of about £2.5m from the MLS. Ike Ugbo: Chelsea links but little else to entice Rangers fans One of the more interesting Rangers striker links of the transfer window, Ike Ugbo came through at the Chelsea Academy and Beale will be well aware of his attributes. Now plying his trade with Ligue 2 Troyes, the 24-year-old Canada international has had quite an interesting career. But his two goals in 25 French second-tier appearances have done little to encourage supporters. Jerry Yates: could he finally be set to get Rangers move? There was a time when barely a week went by without Rangers being mentioned next to Blackpool striker Jerry Yates, who had an explosive run of nine goals in 13 Championships games earlier in the season. After suffering relegation back to League One, manager Neil Critchley claims the club want to keep Yates, who has been rated at £5m and reportedly been watched by Rangers several times this season. Haji Wright: “Rangers have bid rejected” Last by but no means least is USA international striker Haji Wright, who has reportedly been the subject of a rejected £7m bid from Rangers this summer. The Antalyaspor forward might back up Beale’s suggestion that Rangers will have to spend to get quality in forward positions, but are Wright’s 15 goals in the Super Lig really worth it? What’s incredible is that, despite the high number of reports, Beale was clear earlier in the season that he has his eye on one “specific” target and so far no transfer sleuths have been able to deduce who he was talking about.1 point

If that's the best they can do then that's the kit we will be wearing why dont they put cards on the seats and i would bet some of the younger fans could do a lot better it looks about as appealing as dying1 point

My Son and I often talk about how good it would be to have a summer four club tournament with our partner clubs, Hamburg, Orange County & Bengaluru. We should be working with them closer as these are possibly a good market for players in the future.1 point
