This is a defeat to a team with little or no European track record. This is down to the quality of the players available. The summer signings have been poor. We are missing a few good players through injury. The exact player that I think we need is on loan somewhere. When a new manager arrives there will be very little that he can do before getting players back or signing new players. Two recent highlights were winning the league and reaching a European final. We have built on neither one.5 points

No idea why people are suggesting other players would have been better, its a moot point, we've no system, no style, you could put Messi in there, no one running off him would see him useless as well. The only positive, it's clear there's not going to be a 'bounce', hopefully this will focus the board.4 points

150 GBP, or thereby, for a standard bottle (70cl). Therefore, I cannot comment on its quality. Aimed, mostly, for China and the Far East market, I believe. Your brother isn't Chinese is he? (I read in The Guardian, some years ago, that every fourth child born in the world was Chinese. I don't know how you would explain that to the in-laws.)4 points

As much as we scoff at the likes of Warnock and Allardyce, these 'old school' managers would probably do not too badly against the types of opposition we face and might also be good at kicking a few arses. Have any foreign tippy tippy Xg coaches actually done a job in Scotland?4 points

I dont think you can coach pace and our team has none. Our players are for the most part, shit.3 points

I’ve got a good idea. We should give the ball to our fullbacks so they can cross it in to two of our players in the box v 6 defenders. They will never expect that.3 points

Call me out for calling out our full backs like but it's actually brutal to watch them try to reach the byline. There's a reason we swing in crosses from deep, it's because they can't fucking move.3 points

Fair enough, however the players should be ashamed of themselves! 100& effort is all that is asked of them! shameful3 points

Bad enough watching this without Kevin Thomson commentary.3 points

Who else could he play? Roofe probably isn't fit enough to start, everyone else is injured. Cifuentes has been poor recently, Jack must be injured again, then we're into untried boys.3 points

I agree entirely, Europe is a nice to have. However, never in their history have Allardyce and Warnock scudded every team in their league. Big Sam plays Martin O'Neill style football, if that's what you like, go for it. Warnock is about the right age to be POTUS.3 points

It's slightly depressing, but there is an argument for getting in a manager who can set up the team to, first and foremost, reliably scud the 10 SPL diddies, and not worry too much about European performances.3 points

I think after 10 games it’s quite clear Dessers & Lammers aren’t good enough.2 points

AFAIK neither GVB or MB will get any severance as they were both sacked within the first 12 months2 points

I think they'll struggle to get anyone willing to take the job! Can't see how Bisgrove us gonna convince anyone of any quality to take the job. Fully expecting another jobber of an appointment and more years of torture.2 points

Dessers and Lammers are hopeless. They are nowhere near good enough to play for Rangers2 points

The main difference between the teams was effort! plenty from Aris zero from us2 points

It's always the hope that kills you. Expected a reaction from the team, Sima only player who's looked interested.2 points

We've got an actual decent team this season at the weekend...2 points

I've watched a lot of bad performances over the last 30 years but that has to be up there with the worst. The lack of effort and quality is simply unacceptable. Yes, the pitch looks crap and it must be hot but we have player after player walking about. Very few get pass marks. Goldson and Davies prefer to put each other pressure. Our full backs are neither defensive or attacking. Our midfield can't pass. Our attacking three have no idea where to play and our striker lumbers about aimlessly. Only Sima carries a threat. Tav, Lundstram and Lammers are laughably bad and should be taken off immediately. Now, Michael Beale absolutely had to go but, make no mistake here, some of these players are all about themselves and certainly no longer part of a team. The disrespect shown to Steven Davis and the travelling support is infuriating. I dread to think what awaits us. Chancers.2 points

Being serious when I say this group of players would get Guardiola the can within a couple of months. Shitebag mentality from back to front bar the keeper.2 points

Utterly shambolic so far. And Aris are a poor side. 11 men thrown together, relying on individual ability.2 points

Whisky is best drunk straight. One ice-cube is acceptable. Stick with Speyside malts and you can't lose. And a bullet to the head is best after a defeat against that lot. Good way to avoid a week of misery.2 points

It's going to be a gamble whoever we appoint. There is no safe bet. I thought Gio was a good choice (I was more confident than when we appointed Gerrard). I thought appointing PLG was a masterstroke. It's a roll of the dice I'm afraid, and I wouldn't like it to be my call.2 points

Big Sam and Warnock partnership with Dick Campbell coordinating the whole show we’d be unstoppable.2 points

I agree with that. Warnock always seems to get a reaction and in our league would probably almost guarantee a winning run and I'd have been fine with him coming in for a few months with Davis working with him. What he did with Huddersfield last season was another miracle.2 points

Good luck to Steve and the lads tomorrow. After all that's happened, hoping for some sort of response from team / players tomorrow.2 points
